Fricking Hickman KINO
Fricking Camp KINO

considering how popular the x-men 97 show is, they should try to mirror it into 6160. but at least we will start getting proper x-men setting by the fourth issue...
Why would you want to derail ultimate with that when the 616 book needs a severe reboot anyway and was the original inspiration for the show?
They're already setting up the post Krakoa era to have a 90's feel on top of X-men 97 having a comic out right now too.
So no, let 6160 be it's own version of the X-men.

Does anyone even read this nu-Ultimate shit?
silly ass question
>Does anyone even read this nu-Ultimate shit?
Hmm I don't know, let's check
>While last week saw Ultimate Spider-Man #3 top the list, selling over twice as many copies as Amazing Spider-Man #46.
There's your answer
>While last week saw Ultimate Spider-Man #3 top the list, selling over twice as many copies as Amazing Spider-Man #46.
Top 1 comic sells worse now than the 150th did 10 years ago. But OK, Spider-Man always sells relatively well, what about all the other nu-UU series? X-men, Black Panther etc?
Still number ones, at least on the week they come out. They all come out different weeks so we can't compare them head to head to USM or ASM, but the gap in sales between Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Black Panther and non-Ultimate aren't quite as pronounced as the gap between USM and everything else.
Stay mad Lowe
Ultimate X-men was Number 1
Ultimate Spider-Man was Number 2
Ultimate Black Panther was Number 8
So two are the top best selling comics of the month, and the third is still top 10.
So yes, people are reading it.
>B-BUH THE NUMBERS FROM 10 YEARS AGO!
And? You didn't ask how many people are reading Spider-Man or X-Men now compared to 10 years ago. You asked if people are reading these books NOW.
Don't move the goal post cause you're scared of eating crow
Will these books still be at the top of the list a year from now? Who knows, we'll have to wait and see.
But to your original question, yes people are reading them. Don't be a sore loser just because people are happy with this version of things, Lowe.
Ultimate X-Men #1 came out at the beginning of March and USM #3 came out at the end of March, which very likely had skewed things in X-Men's favor a bit.
Skewed or not, it managed to get all the way up there in much less time which is impressive regardless
Literally all three of the ultimate spider-man issues were in the top 100 last month
I do. It helps that 616 is an utter dumspter-fire right now, especially muh Spider-Man.
Bruh, USM #1 is on its fourth reprint
Every time a new issue drops, LOCG is flooded by reviews
If we are judging by shonen standards then no, not really.
>if we need to move the goalposts then no, not really
lol
More than the 616 shit yeah
Spider-Man is good, I'll read X-Men for as long as they remain normal and not homosexuals, figuratively and literally.
>Spider-Man is good
No.
Ultimate Spider-Man (2024) hell to the yes, but then again, 616 is fricking dogshit rn, so that's not really a high bar to pass or anything.
>User: Dr. Otto Octavius
Nice, a version of Doc Ock that isn't constantly trying to get inside Peter's body (or a prepubescent boy if Peter is unavailable)
the frick? they brought back the ultimate verse? what is this?
It's Ultimate in name only
Basically Cates had plans for bringing back the original Ultimate universe but then he had a divorce, rumors say he fell on drugs again, and then he got in a car accident that made him forget like 4-6 months of his life so Jonathan Hickman took over and redirected everything.
This new Ultimate universe, 6160, has The Maker interfere to try and prevent all the heroes of the Marvel Universe from ever existing or something like that while Tony Stark (a teenager mind you) tries to undo this
So as a result you have a grown up Peter Perker becoming Spider-Man while already married to MJ with two kids
Don't forget pissing on a big exec's wife
What? I've never heard this. Did he really do that?
Yes. He got shitfaced drunk at a holiday party. That's why Cates went from being on multiple ongoings at once to vanishing off the face of the earth.
I thought it was an expensive rug
it was actually an executive's expensive hooker

It sounds so dumb, I'd rather they bring back Earth-1610.
I like what Hickman is cooking so far.
Sadly, all of his comics turn out to be kind of mediocre by the end: Fantastic Four, The Avengers, X-Men, The Ultimates. He tries to be too smart, but ends up outsmarting himself, and that just gets boring. I have no hopes for USM not following the same path.
>Fantastic Four
Isn't his run on FF considered to be pretty great throughout, on top of also doing the Future Foundation where Peter was a member?
By idiots, yeah.
So you're saying that you consider it the best comic of all time then
I'm not an idiot, so no.
You definitely seem like a complete fricking idiot.
Ignoring that FF was great, his USM has felt pretty different from his usual fare.
The bigger they are, the harder they fall. The more epic a story is, the worse its conclusion will be. It's a rule.
The fact that USM is a pretty restrained and character focused story is pretty interesting though. It's simpler in structure, and more personal in nature.
I've enjoyed the new Ultimate Spider-Man far more than the old one so far
Not the original Ultimate Universe.
The Maker escaped 616 and is making his own universe.
Ultimate Invasion 1-4 are it's creation and world building
Ultimate Universe 1 is showing how the Avengers of this universe are coming together and their plan to fix what the maker did to this universe.
Ultimate Spider-Man, Black Panther, and X-men are those characters, naturally.
Ultimates will be the team book this June
>10 years ago
what a cope
Speculators went crazy and bought most of the #1s except for X-Men and tried to flip them for 3x the price. That’s the only reason. My LCS has both BP#1 and Ultimate Universe #1 on their wall for $45 a book. Think nothing of it.
This may be partly true but it doesn't explain how USM #2 is already at third printing
Or hell, #3 outselling the mainline book by a more than 2:1 ratio.
because he's coping
>That’s the only reason
Okay, now explain USM 2 and 3 also selling out and getting reprints?
>Black Pa
IM GONNA STOP YOU RIGHT THERE PAL
What happened to G.O.D.S.?
It's ending. Pretty sure it was always a miniseries.
>Pretty sure it was always a miniseries.
That's what they always say.
It's garbage.
Oh hey
>Dr. Otto Octavius
I really like how its a radioactive spider.
>looks at ASM
>Sees them rehashing the Spider Who Gobs in less than a year
Anyways at least Ultimate doesn’t piss me off.
