>There are flashbacks of the Spanish invasion and the colonization of the Americas, featuring a battle between Namor and his people against the conquistadors.
>The dialogue is predominantly in Spanish and Mayan/Mixtec during the flashback sequences.
>Namor's kingdom is called Tlālōcān, with “Atlantis” being referenced as one of its many names across history.
>The Aztec Jaguar god Tepeyollotlin appears. Namor wears a Jaguar headdress during a ceremonial ritual, and gains the ability to fly from his gods.
>Attuma appears as Namor’s military commander. He has blue skin, as do his followers, and wears a helmet made from the skull and bones of a shark.

But is he still an butthole!
so are they not doing the half human stuff?
the actor is one if that helps.
Half human
Half euro
>mcu atlantis is just mexican wakanda
>namor isn't even a mutie
is the phase 4 plan to be as shit as possible so phase 5 looks better by comparison
No. They just hired a bunch of women into creative positions and now this is the result.
I'm pretty sure rapeworthy writing in comic book movies is a unisex tradition
>Blames women
You know Kevin is still in charge of those women right anon?
Kevin is a onions boy. You think he mansplains over the women he hired? They probably control him at this point.
he probably just gave up because of the absolute state of the universe
Feige was outed as a fricktard who just took credit. Alonzo pulled some strings with the homosexuals who rin social media and are highly placed in Disney to get control...
And well...Look at what we have.
>Feige was outed as a fricktard who just took credit
what
Wait,if the current crop of MCU films is what happens when Alonzo is in charge instead of Feige, then didn't Feige deserve the credit?
Or is this change really recent?
Man, I just realized that Endgame was 3 years ago already
Speedo pics when
This. I just want him to fight in a speedo.
Ok, that's slightly more interesting. Sounds a bit like Ultimate FF (though that's not a good thing). Agent Carter really screwed the pooch on adding to Marvel's WWII history.
But does he cuck Reed Richards?
Yes
Yeah, the post credit scene is Namor fricking Sue to cheer her up after Reed died.
>both Atlantis and Wakanda allowed their neighbors to get colonized
What the frick is their problem?
>a battle between Namor and his people against the conquistadors.
How fricking old are they making Namor?
probly the same age he was in the ultimate universe which i think was 500 or 600 years old.
Didn’t they already show a battle between the Spanish and the Aztecs in Eternals?
Yes. WF will probably address since, since they will apparently also reference Tiamut sticking out of the Indian ocean.
So MCU Atlantis is just advanced Aztecs? And Atlantis isn't even its real name? lol.
They don't want normies to think they are ripping off Aquaman.
It's probably another woke-pandering attempt.
It's like they never learn.
I wonder how will this affect comic Namor. Will they give him a Mexican son named Namor Jr. who rules over a secret Mexican kingdom named Tlalocan?
Ok, but do the Conquistadors have a super-villain on their side? Because it'd be fricking awesome if the Americas were conquered by Spanish Doctor Doom or something. If the Atlantean Mexica only survived the fall of Tenochtitlan because they live under water, it implies some pretty incredible power on the part of the Spaniards.
There's Diablo who was born in Spain. Diablo has fought Doom and The Defenders, so having him fight Namor would be an awesome cameo and good set up for a future FF movie.
Hmm, never heard of this guy. His outfit's a bit goofy, but an immortal Spanish sorcerer/alchemist is pretty cool.
>Ok, but do the Conquistadors have a super-villain on their side?
Depends if they are going to make the Vibrainium mine in South America MCU canon. They can use Defensor as a super-villain with his vibrainium armor
>do the Conquistadors have a super-villain on their side?
yeah its called smallpox-man
>Ok, but do the Conquistadors have a super-villain on their side?
Was Selene still fricking around in South America at the time? Maybe she heard about the Spanish and decided to help them for some reason.
The Spaniards "won" because smallpox and all the other natives the Triple Alliance pissed off did all the work.
I thought they won through the power of Jesus and the BWC.
People often forget that the Aztecs had horribly subjected a lot of peoples so it wasnt exactly hard for the spanish to get allies in the region. And the spanish did afterward give them greater political power than the aztecs.
Man, I really don't want Namor to change in the comic because of synergy
The atlantean women are covered head to toe
speaking of Namor, I've been reading his golden age apperences and it's pretty good. I like how he's perceived as a threat, makes me reconsider modern takes on "what if superheroes where real" when they were already doing shit like this in the early 40's.
what happens next
the electric chair makes him regains his power and he once again swears to take revange on humanity. Also he ditches he then love interest because he think she was the one to set him up.
Nice, cheers
Yeah, Everett started so ahead of the game when it comes to "deconstruction" that it's unreal how much fandom neglects him.
Golden Age Superman was basically the Authority before the Authority.
hopefully, this movie bombs, but even without the black panther association, it's still an mcu movie, so it'll make 5675 gorrilian dollars, and be declared the best movie ever made since *previous marvel movie*
We once thought Pixar invincible too.
If they set him up as a true villain how can they make a solo movie?
Just make a new character at this point, they clearly have no interest in actually adapting Namor and Atlantis
So it has nothing to do with Atlantis.
>atlantis is a lost civilization just like the mayans
>except marvel is doing it with aztec stuff and aztec gods
pinche mcu estan bien pendejos...
>take an OC Donut Steel
>pretend it’s an established character
>ruin said character
EBIN!
I know this term has been overused to the point of meaninglessness, but this it literally cultural appropriation.
Silly anon, that doesn’t count when it’s actual cultural appropriation. Now, having dreads as a non-darkie when every single culture on the planet had dreads; that’s real cultural appropriation…
The flashback should be about the heroic Spaniards saving people from having their hearts cut out by the barbaric Aztecs.
Sounds cool.
More like watered down.
carlos I will rape your anus you fricking homosexual
All of this seems convoluted and extraneous, he should just be atlantis and shit.
But will his hypno-fish return when he has to kidnap a white woman?
it's probably about time for the MCU to finally tackle the issue of cuck-positivity
it's okay if they do it in baby steps by saying Reed and Namor are in a poly relationship
Look
No matter how you look at it, the Aztecs had it coming
Why not use literally any other of the tribes that were in current Latin America?
