Shadow Warrior was one of the first games in a while that made me actually want to do melee just as much if not more than just shooting things to pieces, simply because the katana and the moves available for melee were so fun and effective.
How many references to the larger Marvel universe are you expecting? Also a bit of a nitpick but if the vampire problem in Paris is SO BAD that they have a mandated curfew with alarms then I have to ask why the Avengers aren't helping out on this one
