The % of cheating was just small enough. Also, you poor fool. You made the screenshot from the PAL release, and with Hey Arnold it was not good. NTSC source was just taken and converted into PAL quickly and cheaply, making it WORSE than the NTSC release. See this? This was from american volume 1 DVD.

winning by a technicality =/= cheating

the other guy effectively tapped out/forfeited

He won fair and square. He didnt pass out or quit. He ate everything in front of him. Black kid died eating, arnold stayed in the game. he won.

      >sits there not eating at all while the other kid is going at it
      >doesn't even start eating the ice cream until the other kid is knocked out
      >his "one bite" is some whipped cream taken off the top instead of the actual ice cream / cake part

      He fricking cheated.

What are you talking about? Toppings and whipped cream are part of the ice cream.

Arnold didn't make the rules. This is literally a case of don't hate the player, hate the game.

      >I mean, you're right,
      But he's not
If your opponent can't fight anymore you win by default, Arnold was literally about to tap out of the contest when the kid passed out

        >start a contest to see who can tread water the longest
        >guy going his hardest to stay up
        >i sit there holding onto a rail on the side being like "wow this guy is STRONG and got crazy ENDURANCE"
        >he gives out and goes down
        >"oh shit uh..."
        >tread water for a second and get called the winner
        Cheating bullshit.

The "arnold enters a competition and wins because of divine intervention" episodes were always the worst

I remember a Bugs Bunny skit with basically the same premise. It was a weightlifting competition in which Bugs would downplay any amount of weight that the challenger prepared to lift, until the challenger tried to lift too much and failed. Bugs then flexed a measly 5-pound dumbbell to win the competition.

To be fair, Homer was exclusively fighting starving hobos who probably didn't even know where they were.

This episode was probably one of the biggest filler episodes of the series, pun unintended. The plot is basically
    >Arnold is reluctant to enter eating contest
    >Grandpa peer pressures him to do it by saying that all men in their family did it
    >Arnold enters the contest
    >Arnold wins the contest
Nothing interesting happens in the episode, we nor the characters themselves learn anything of value, there are no interesting dynamics or previously unexplored character interactions at play, there are no particularly funny jokes, the main antagonist is just better than Arnold until he inexplicitly fails so Arnold can do the bare minimum to win. It's definitely not the worst episode of the series, but it is easily one of the most skippable.

      >filler
      >in an episodic comedy
Please tell me you just wanted to make the pun and you're not moronic
