that's kino. hard to think of a creature that's tougher than that unless it was like the yautja with superior technology, i also can't think of how they'd get that backstory in there
Yeah, it wasn't them being prey of technologically advanced species, just wildlife of the planet they were originally from.
> i also can't think of how they'd get that backstory in there
That was the reason they dropped it as well, though it did get a brief mention / cameo in one of the older Dark Horse comics for Alien.
The Carrier is an evolution of the Praetorian, which is a Royal unit that can evolve into several specialty units like the Queen, the Carrier, and the Ravager. Queen is just the same thing from the films, Ravagers are royal guards who have bladed arms, and Carriers can hold facehuggers on its spinal protrusions to carry over long distances so they do not die.
In the game a facehugger will die shortly after leaving its egg unless it's on hive space (the webby sticky ground and wall covering) or mounted on a Carrier. And carriers can throw multiple facehuggers at once so they are good squad eliminators. Carriers can't become Queens but they're essentially royal babysitters. Only they throw the babies.
I like the idea behind this, especially compared to most non-canon xenos they've made.
Having to drag someone back and put an egg in front of them is fine if you're just grabbing civilians in the middle of the night, but if you're trying to attack a small armed group, this could either help you subdue them non-lethally (until it is) or at the very least take people out of the fight quickly.
Same because theyre supposed to be this insanely adaptable/resillient lifeform so youd think every planet would have a different looking version or whatever, like maybe one with gills or someshit on a water planet
new alien designs is always a mixed back for me
one the one hand i can understand why people want to do new stuff but on the other hand HR Giger came up with such a strong original design that its hard to change it up and still feel like this is part of the same franchise.
Why are xenomorphs so terrifying? Its like us humans have a biological inate fear of this creatures. Maybe they could actually be real? Why scientific reason for us to fear them so
How do you even respond without sounding mad???
>send in a horde of chinese
>they catch the facehuggers, boil them alive, and eat them with chopsticks
Deliver the dish to a paying customer only to trip and permanently disfigure them with acid blood before watching the restaurant explode
>they catch the facehuggers, boil them alive, and eat them with chopsticks
There is at least one race in Alien universe that eats facehuggers
I feel the idea of using a hyperparasite against the xenos could be interesting
Originally, the alien/xeno was supposed to have come from a planet where they were the prey of various other lifeforms.

what did it originate from?
Aliens versus Predator: Extinction. A Real Time Strategy game.
For frick sake.
I think it's cool. It could make for an interesting xenomorph in a movie.
Why is its head filled with milk?
For stronger bones.
A dragon.
yeah but I meant did it have some specific host?

Given that it is carrying facehuggers, it could be a young Queen or a male?

seeing new xenos like this should have been what the new Alien movies were about, not this david/engineer crap
Blomkamp's movies were going to be like that. They had new xeno types, plus controled xenos and xeno biosuits
The Neomorphs were pretty cool
Same because theyre supposed to be this insanely adaptable/resillient lifeform so youd think every planet would have a different looking version or whatever, like maybe one with gills or someshit on a water planet
Xenomorphs don't breathe for energy. Their body is actually a big battery. Their acid blood is literally battery acid.
>cum is stored in the brain

This design is 20 years old, they're just now making a toy out of it.
Hope the new movies is good
It won't be.
I liked his Evil Dead and Don't Breathe so I have some hope
well it can't be worse than ressurection or covenant
Yeah at worst it will probably be mediocre
resurrection was good though. yeah okay it's not great but visually it was awesome and it was entertaining
it's perfectly watchable but it was a bad Alien movie
I feel like I would have liked Resurrection if it wasn't for the awful dialogue
I hope the new movie clarifies the bonus situation once and for all.
It really has to, it was left completely unresolved
The Bonus Situation was resolved long ago. The entirety of the Bonus was delivered to a Mr. Jonesy.
Thank god Jones made it
Right?

Its the lack of eyes, its uncanny as frick, you don't know where you're supposed to look at it
Giant bugs who rape ruled by a matriarchy. It's like a black-chinese feminist.
I see you saw the Mando video too.
