Kinda liked it. the ending is a complete cliffhanger though which I hate. Hope it gets a season 2 because I wanna see her and her father meet.
>Hope it gets a season 2 because I wanna see her and her father meet.
bet you five bucks he's a decent dude, putting into question her entire life's purpose
Why did they rip off Jin from samurai champloo?
Exact reason I will never watch it. I don’t like rip offs. Jin was based.
>Blue Eye Samurai Part 2: Perry's Revenge
why do you morons pretend to like this crap anyway lol
It's a fun show.
Because it was an excellent show?
Nude boobs.
I mean, nude dick, too, if that's what you want, but they don't shy away from the nude boobs.
Also, I can fix mizu.
There is no porn of her bro, she ain't that attractive
im trans btw, not sure if that matters
There'll probably be a season 2.
Whether there'll be a season 3 that actually wraps up the story is
>Netflix
>animated
>popularity only spreading by word of mouth
Canceled without a doubt
Why is Cinemaphile only interested in shows failing, which is sad when the show is actually good like BES. Is it just because wahmen protag
>will netflix do what netflix does
That.
I can be sold on a wahm protag if she's written well, loved Scavenger's Reign even though it's very woke. Shitters like
asking people to "watch correctly" are a turnoff however
>Shitters like

he's being facetious and making fun of how the netflix algorithim works
Even if he wasn't, making a fricking kung fu Panda expy beg and grovel at a woman's feet in the first 10 minutes of an episode isn't a good look anywhere outside of Cinemaphilemblr
Did viewers watch it "correctly" (played every single episode all the way through and the series to completion within days of release and repeated this process) so that their internal metrics evaluation system would rank it higher? And the deal breaker: will the creative team ask for a raise if they green light a second season?
So which white man do you think is her father?
I dunno but I know which one I want her to call daddy
It’s wrong but how funny if it’s none of them, or was the first one we didn’t even see killed
That actually would be funny.
Her husband was the biggest idiot imaginable.
>gets best girl of 2023
>sells her out because she beat him
understatement of the year.
Where did this show even come from anyway? Seems like the type of series that would have been cancelled during the Netflix Animation purge and pivot to literal baby shows
Came out like a week ago, and is being spread through word of mouth and luck. I only found out about it because I got a samurai bite after playing Sekiro and started bingeing samurai films and just so happened to find this on YouTube then watched the full on Netflix. I don’t know if it’s going to do well or not, I really really hope so
It's doing really well on Netflix, and the creators already have an approved outline for Season 2. The official Netflix social accounts are also constantly spamming it. I'd be surprised if they don't renew it
Oh thank frick, I was a little worried. I hope they do more special edition episodes like they did for the tower episode, it was gorgeous
It predictably didn't do well because expecting western animation fans to watch something other than Disney Baby Slop is like expecting Nintendo fanboys to touch any game that is remotely mature.
>I can't think of any other
Primal. Primal did fantastically well.
It's got a cool premise and I admittedly do l i ke mizu but it keeps shooting itself in the foot with the plot and there's quite a bit of blatantly lazy writing. The dude in the noodle shop who told the extremely dangerous looking armed men to "shut up" when they were talking to the owner just so the writers could make them seem dangerous. Like, there's a lot of just blatantly braindead unsubtle bits like that.
It's got cool fights tho and I like the bad guy.
Somehow stuck it out to the second episode. I agree. There is a solid samurai story somewhere in there and I will praise it for the fight choreography if nothing else because western animation botches that a lot, but it's repeatedly broken up by inane bullshit and plot contrivances. People talk like Californians instead of japanese occasionally. The WEIGHTED ARMOUR thing being used to justify a sudden second wind. The fat noodle shop comic relief homosexual is fricking annoying and could be removed to no detriment to the rest of the story.
At the very least I think there's enough good to balance out the bad, but I'll reserve judgement on whether there's MORE good than bad until the end.
The sex is cringe. Someone writing it really wanted a woman to be on top to feel empowered but still sucking her man off in another way.
This show is too based for the morons on Cinemaphile.
>fatfrick joke character
>bitchy strong empowered princess
This show is not "based". It's characters are fundamentally at odds with the setting as presented.
t. moron on Cinemaphile
t. piggy drunk on slop and/or shill
Your show is a fat mound of trash with the fights as the gems within it. Fricking cope.
t. moron on Cinemaphile
They need to renew seis manos first
This fat piece of shit is singlehandedly downgrading the entire story. Anytime there's anything resembling tension this unfunny bumblefrick exists to plant is fat ass right in front of the plot doing anything interesting.
>hurrdurr HURRUDURR LOVE MY SHOW
>NO NO NONONONO WHY U NO LUV THE GOYSLOP
/co/mblr in full meltdown mode xir favourite show is shit.
lmao imagine getting this assblasted by being called a moron on the internet
Looks woke.
It's not in the way you'd think. The MC is mostly fine from what I've seen. But there are one or two absolutely insufferable side characters the writers probably think are charming and relatable (the fat bumbling noodle boy and the tantrum-throwing princess) who just come across like attempts at forcing modern western values into an oriental setting.
Fights are good and so is everything involving the blind blacksmith, for what that's worth.
Ye noodle boy ruins vibe of the show.
I mean, isn't the entire show about a woman who is somehow just as strong as men and able to take down trained male combatants?
