I recently started watching it, and some of the dialogue just irritates me to no end.
>How am I supposed to sell sugar and keep my secretary's self esteem afloat
>I want to help people and do good work and sleep on the ground and poop in a bucket.
Is this really the "best show ever"?
yes, keep watching

Huh? Speak english
Missing D is a joke, like in the damn show.
Sorry that went over your head.
>making a reference to the show inside a reference of another show's joke that mocks what you're referencing
Fricking stupid
bet you have a tantrum whenever you see the word sneed
based, Cinemaphile just hates this show because it hates any kind of emotional sincerity or self-reflection
They hate it because they're seth wienersuckers
I am indifferent to this show because it uses the “there’s no afterlife” reddit trope as a factor in how it’s “deep”. Also the characters talk weird
religious gay, opinion discarded
I like the tongue twisters
He either than VA'e really talented or the voice director is sadistic freak. Either way, that's impressive.
My friends and I haven't watched this show in years and none of us watched much past second 3
We STILL only call it "Hollywoo" now
There's a fantastic show shelled within generic adult show comedy cartoon nonsense. I can say, it almost made me stop watching the show because of how purposely banal some of the jokes and plot points are (especially in Season 1) compounded with one or two episodes a season that serve specifically as a soapbox for the writers' opinions on politics and society because they have a captive audience, but when the show actually hits that grove, while stylistically its still a little vapid, its some of the best scenario and character writing in modern Western animation and is both willing, and able, to tackle heavy subject matter well in a capacity many other cartoons even refuse to touch.
The Horse Show is like a Horse Pill, doesn't always taste great and can be hard to swallow, but can have some worthwhile effects that make it worth swallowing.
Neil McBeal the Navy Seal.
Just wants his fricking muffins
I think the only major flaw in the show is Todd. BoJack himself already serves as a comedy relief of his own with the antics he gets into. The show's insistent effort to make sure Todd gets a B plot with even more ridiculous antics comes off really clumsily, and you can feel it most of all when he gets shoehorned hard into Season 6.
Todd's purpose is always to spend most of the season doing nothing of value and then drop some realness on Bojack in the penultimate episode
Todd is the best character. The only people who hate todd are people jralous of his success and people who are also pathetic drug users and video gamers but without the creativity and opportunity of todd.
I like the idea of what Todd is supposed to be to Bojack, but aside from specific episodes, like the Christmas Special, it's only surface level because of how its framed, limiting its potential, and making a lot of Todd's purpose come off as pointless. They try to make Todd relevant to Bojack's personal life while emphasizing there is no connection or history between them. Todd just hangs around because its convenient and Bojack lets Todd hang out because he likes company (as much as he claims the opposite), so why should we care about their relationship and give it focus? At first it's framed as Bojack being a jerk for refusing to acknowledge a friendship, but after Todd begins to back away and eventually stops mooching off Bojack and realizing there isn't a potential for growth, there's no relevancy to their relationship but the show still focuses on it and finds contrived ways to force them into each others lives, or Todd into the relevancy of the show but it feels purposeless. The Todd plots generally aren't funny or lead to anything, with a few exceptions, and just waste time that could be spent on other more interesting things.
Todd had potential, could be interesting and funny, and wasn't a bad character. But, the amount of focus he got was unneeded in the scope of the show's overall focus. They could have used Todd in a better way.
It's liberal writer porn. Bojack would be happier if he found a religion or something. But feminist californians only think in therapy and social media validation because of their limited world view
Bojack does actually strike me as one of those people who could use belief in a higher power to stop being so awful and I say this as an agnostic
Bojack would absolutely not benefit from religion, he'd just follow it obsessively for a few weeks, relapse hard, then pretend that nothing happened because he rediscovered his faith and god forgives him before repeating the cycle again and again.
>is this the best show ever
it COULD have been, but fell flat on its face when the writers decided that bojack had to be irredeemable
