The only reason people hate english anime dubs is because of how cringe are the dialogs in chinese cartoons. When reading subtitles it's not so obvious, but when your brain actually hears them, it becomes a torture.
Yeah the dialogue is messy. Asians just cant write human characters. I don't understand how these weebs can watch English voiced cartoons then say english speaking voice actors are bad with a straight face.

they have a literal moron language. like, to say "are you hungry?" in japanese you say "EAT?" so when you're translating from Japanese you basically have to write entirely new dialogue based on these one or two word caveman grunts and the "translating anime to english" industry is small and doesn't really have anyone who can write good dialogue.
