Sucrose is just a fructose/glucose dimer that gets broken down into its constituent monosaccharides by sucrase; the glucose is just immediately converted into fructose in the body anyway.

As absurd as this may sound, let’s break down some key reasons why a banana is not, in fact, the same as a candy bar.
We start with the nutrition facts.

Per Google, one large banana (which is roughly 8 inches long) weighs 136 grams and contains:

          121 calories
          0.4 grams of total fat
          0.2 grams of saturated fat
          487mg of potassium
          31 grams of total carbohydrate
          3.5 grams of dietary fiber
17 grams of sugar (0 of which are added sugar)
          1.5 grams of protein
And per Hershey’s official website, a 1.55-ounce Cookies ’n’ Creme Bar weighs 43 grams and contains:

          220 calories
          11 grams of total fat
          7 grams of saturated fat
          140 mg of potassium
          28 grams of total carbohydrates
          0 grams of fiber
21 grams of sugar (18 of which are added sugar)
          3 grams of protein
Right away, the banana containing 99 fewer calories than the candy bar is a significant difference.

A piece of fruit is almost always going to contain significantly fewer calories than a candy bar, which is really important for weight loss. As another example, if you were to compare a Snickers Bar to an apple, the difference in calories would also be about 100.

So that’s a big gaping hole in this harebrained “banana-is-a-candy-bar” idea right off the bat.

“You don’t get that quick rise and fall of blood sugar levels,” St. Pierre says.

The prolonged digestion period also means fruit helps you feel much fuller than ultra-processed foods like candy, which are digested quickly and, as St. Pierre says, “designed to overwhelm your normal satiation signals, so they can and often do lead to overeating.”

If you feel inclined, sneak in a quick 5 or 10 minutes of any exercise you can when you have a spare moment. Do some body weight squats for a while, or do some dips using your couch to grow your arms.

Stronger muscles means you strain less doing even basic tasks and will feel less tense and sore in general.

I am paranoid and antisocial and I NEVER take public transport and sleep and wake up earlier so I can walk the way to work. I walk everywhere so I guess that is some "exercise" there. Usually, it takes me 40 minutes on foot to get to work. I am a rookie mechanic. i am thinking of getting equipment in my home. I am 22 and leave in a single apartment in a two story building. It's run down but the house itself is doable and very good. I make a lot of money going to people's places and fixing their cars up so I have a lot of money to spare since i'm alone and my expenses are specifically very low. My eating habits also spare me a lot of money. Going to the gym is a no-go for me as I feel emasculated even by having the thought and would rather work at my home in my peace and quiet.

Rice is fine, it doesn't have as many carbs as people cry about it all the time.

I just ate some bean soup with tomato sauce. i get very contradictory answers on whether they're good for weight loss or not. what's your take?

Someone like me who is ectomorph, eat normally so has a smaller stomach would need to eat more regularly and seeing I cannot gain fat I would have no energy reserves for the body to feed off for energy.
Still if I was not active at all the 1 meal a day would be ideal, though I have always found it better for me to eat multiple small amounts throughout the day rather than large meals as large meals make me lethargic.

I split a cow every year with 3 other people. I know the farmer and yes his cows are 100% grass fed and not given hormones or antibiotics. Buying the whole cow direct keeps the price relatively low, about $6/lb for the last one. Again, your inability to source quality food is not a fault of the food itself.

Nothing. Don't eat bread, don't eat anything that's too sloppy, don't drink anything but water and make sure to fast a lot and in 16 hour breaks. It's laughably easy to lose weight but the general populace lacks the simple discipline to not stuff your fricking face every few hours. I can fast 2-3 days at a time now. I have also shaved off my declining facial hair and this guy who I used to go to school with came to my shop and he was absolutely befuddled by how much I changed. Also, don't jerk off and eat a lot of protein. DON'T JERK OFF. hair loss is directly tied to it.

Yes the bread of today is dogshit quality wheat doused with glyphosate, shitty birth control infused tap water, rancid vegetable oil, s𐐬ya and then a bunch of synthetic 'vitamins' like iron shavings are added to it. Thank you science.

bread is the easiest shit to make at home, you need 3 or 4 ingredients and you can put all the garlic you want in it.

I agree with you but 95% of people who eat bread will not make their own or buy it from a decent bakery and like most food on the shelves it is low quality and inflammatory but certainly better than starving.

I cut out bread and sugar and have lost about 20kg in the last 6 months.

Ironically routinely doing edibles also helped me understand the difference between dopamine cravings and actual hunger. A lot of the time you think you are hungry you are actually just tired or bored.

Boredom is by far the #1 reason I snack, and I fricking hate it.
I also quit coffee this year after a near life time of it, so I feel like a junkie on withdrawal, eating to fill the gap. It sucks nuts.

Near raw carnivore diet + dairy + some fruits + SOME carbs if you are very physically active is the best diet. Goatis is a schizo wackjob but his diet takes are on point. Consider that literally all vegetables and most fruits/carbs are a modern invention and at no point in human evolutionary history did we eat vegetables and goyslop sugary carbs. Also, cooking the shit out of meats/foods ruins nutrition and cancerizes it, the modern phenomena of bowel cancer is likely from overcooking foods

Helicobacter pylori is often the culprit. Though whether overcooked food plays a role in that I don't know.

So Japan has been eating meat more in the last decade than in the previous decades. So how come Japan wasn't fat in the past and why has their rates of obesity increases with meat intake?

The point of contention is that their meat intake increased and somehow their levels of obesity increased too. If meat intake is correlated with lower obesity levels then why has Japan's rate of obesity increased in the last decade?
