        The women will be black.
Michael will have Americana Everyman overtones mixed with a fascist haircut and dress vibe .

Michael has family trauma from his overbearing mother.

This. Also Michael is not in it until the last 2 minutes, the rest of the movie is just a family talking around the dinner table.

They are seeking to make a lot of money (they're even downscaling the production of "auteur movies"), so I don't think it will be elevated horror since the big audience wont like it. And this license must be costly since the last Halloween trilogy made a half billion dollars

  10. 7 months ago

Oh man, I can’t wait for yet another movie in the series that says “Everything in the franchise that isn’t the original is getting tossed out the window because it’s all shit”, and do a back-to-basics soft reboot of the original, which will get a positive reception, but as soon as they try to do their own thing in the sequel, they instantly shit their pants.

I can taste the absolute seethe from salty Jasoncucks through the screen. Yes, how is the rights issue going, Jasoncucks? Mhhmmm, don't cry, Michael is here to put you out of your misery. You're angry because you cant handle Michael's success, Michael returning to claim his throne as the rightful king of the slashers. It's better this way, for your shitty franchise to be stuck in limbo. Could you imagine the embarrassing garbage they would shit out if the rights issue was settled? It would only hurt you further. Think about it, now we've had two exquisite Halloween entires back to back, you have a reminder, a frame of reference for what legendary entries in the slasher genre should aspire to be like. With these entries of the Halloween franchise fresh in your mind, you would inevitably compare the hypothetical Friday the Cuckteenth sequel to Halloween and you would realize your entire life, your entire dedication to the soulless imitator known as Jason gayhees, has been a lie. A mistake. It's time to throw your hockey mask in the garbage and your Scream Factory Friday the 13th boxset in the fireplace. Michael Myers never dies. Halloween is forever.

I didn’t think Halloween could get any worse after the last movie but here comes A24 to make Michael a metaphor for pregnancy or some shit. Knowing A24 In their movie he’ll probably kill his sister because he wanted to frick her and the rest of the film will be about incel violence. At least I heard Saw x was good and I have terrifier 3 to look forward to.

Michael Myers is not an indestructible force of doom like Jason

He’s supposed to be the boogeyman

    He’s a creeper

    He’s a stalker

He lurks and prowls just out of the corner of your eye

    He’s not a traumatized youth

He’s a sexual deviant who gets a thrill from squirming victims shrieking in terror underneath him as he penetrates them with his knife and steals their life

So some of the worst Halloween Movies are going to be made again.

It’ll probably be something like this:

Don’t forget to watch our Halloween prequel show that will show Michael Myers at the end before launching the cinematic universe with… no one else?

  35. 7 months ago

I’m pretty happy Miramax got Halloween instead of A24, I don’t need to see Halloween ‘elevated.’

Fricking dreading the A24 Friday the 13th TV show. They just fundamentally don’t understand the Friday franchise is fun. It’s meant to be a blood blood, nudity, camp acting and murder. People have loved this series for over 40 years because it serves them up a very particular piece of entertainment. A24 do not deliver that kind of entertainment at all. They’re too fricking boring as a studio to be fun enough for Friday. They’re virgin nerds showing up to a summer camp party.
