I can give you everything except attempts at humour. It's subtle and relies on delivery and facial expressions rather than vulgarity and punchlines. The rest of the your "criticism" is actually positive aspects of the show. Sorry, maybe it's not for you, but Justified is a 10/10 Would Watch Again Multiple Times Cinemaphile certified show.

I hope you aren't talking about the rapey cowboy kid in the final season because then you'd be a blithering homosexual moron since that guy killed multiple people easily all season and came within half an inch of blowing Raylan's brains out.

I hope you aren't talking about the rapey cowboy kid in the final season because then you'd be a blithering homosexual moron since that guy killed multiple people easily all season and came within half an inch of blowing Raylan's brains out.

Boon was the guy who fancied himself a modern day cowboy, Raylan was just being himself. The fact Raylan beats the cowboy LARPer and his SAA fancy speed-shooter revolver using just his glock makes him that much cooler in my eyes.

Boon pretty much one iirc. Still on his knees

          Anonymous

As has already been pointed out in this thread, Boon lost because he was arrogant and tried to headshot Raylan, his pretensions to being a cowboy had absolutely nothing to do with it.

            Anonymous

Way to miss the point completely lmao. Boon lost because Raylan is just that good he can beat a guy who has kitted himself out for quick-draw shooting while using a regular glock, and drawing second. I don't see how him dressing as a cowboy and having cowboy-like speech patterns affects his gun dueling abilities.

There's still a lot of inconsequential "criminal of the week" Cowboy Bond episodes but the show gets better at maintaining villain-of-the-season storylines as it goes along. I'm halfway done with season 5 and it's still a good background show, not sure if I understand the overwhelming acclaim aside from the two lead performances.

It's basically everything that could go wrong when you give an "idea guy" full control over a project. Kurt Sutter's writing worked on The Shield because the showrunner never lost sight of the characters and the writers room checked some of his worst tendencies but there's none of that in SOA. Basically all of the main cast are unlikable dipshits except for the one who gets unceremoniously killed off.

banshee is well worth a watch for 1-3, but production and behind the scenes issues killed the show and season 4 is a dumpster fire.

        >The devout Catholic’s clause wasn’t new. From 2008 to 2009, McDonough starred in "Desperate Housewives" where he played Nicolette Sheridan’s husband. McDonough had a no-kissing rule that prompted the show’s creator, Marc Cherry, to get creative with his writing. McDonough, who married his wife Ruvé in 2003, has said, "I won’t kiss any other woman because these lips are meant for one woman."

        >But after reportedly getting the boot from "Scoundrels," McDonough experienced "a hard few years" trying to find work while staying faithful to his religious beliefs.

Wow, irony really did a number on you. Do find sincerity repulsive in real life?

It's a lot to ask but you have to sit through a whole season of "baddy of the week" before the show hits it's stride.
I persevered only because of the flawless record of Cinemaphile recommendations and it ended up being one of my all-time fave shoes.

it's not really a whole season, only about 7-8 first episodes are baddy of the week

I wish Dickie had gotten another story in the later seasons, he was the most entertaining secondary antagonist by far. The very definition of too clever by half.
Dewey also was a good comedic relief that didn't clash with the series' tone. I watched Justified after Mr. Inbetween and Perpetual Grace, LTD, and Damon Herriman really nails that archetype.

i enjoyed Dickie too. I find that actor to be someone who elevates anything they are in.

Being Dickie was pure suffering all since Raylan busted his leg

Maybe it's just me but did you all feel like Dicky wasn't meant in S2 to be a moron? I feel like he was meant to be smart like the third brother and then gradually over the course of the show they made him more and more stupid.

his character is one of the most interesting in Quarry as well, despite being a gay

Its a solid show throughout. Raylan is an butthole and becomes less of one as time goes by.

I found myself enjoying season 1 enough but I could not fricking slog myself through season 2. The dumb ass ex-wife taking money from evidence lock up plot line was working me into an aneurysm.
