I think they had a perfect ending, but then decided subverting was suddenly cool and they chose to make some garbage ending because it would 'suprise' and 'shock' us, rather than just have the logical ending of Wendy getting fricking clipped when Marty could no longer protect her, and then possibly having him die as well.

The finale created more problems than it resolved. I'm assuming that they wanted to leave it open-ended so if they want to revive the series at some point they can.
I think because the show was basically a treadmill of "characters try to do things but something gets in the way that they have to resolve, repeat every episode until it ends" it never felt like it had a larger idea it was building to. Even in the last episode there's still complications being thrown in until the last minute and it just ends at a seemingly random point.
I didn't hate her character but she definitely looked like a troony and that bothered me. She kinda felt like kid version of Skylar White for the show.

The ending wasn't perfect but I was pleased Marty came out of it ok. The detective guy was probably the best part of the last season and him being the final obstacle was great it just needed more polish. I also didn't really understand what deal was reached with the government between them, marty, and the cartel, it happened really quickly and seemed absurd even for the shows standards.

The cartel was terribly depicted in Ozarks. The majority of them were too refined and not raw enough to seem real, the numbers were too low they needed some more extras to make the gang believable. Navarro was a shit replacement for Del Rio and didn't have a good voice/look/dialogue. I only briefly liked him when he killed the dude in prison and I would've liked any actor they got for that.
Was this show oddly "chronological" to anyone else? Maybe hard to explain but it was like episodes would be incredibly sequential in a way film and TV normally isn't. There's normally you know, time skips, compressions, breathing room, whatever.
