>What the frick happened with the sequel?
it gave me uncomfortable boners next to children
that's fricking what.
Whoever modeled and animated Helen Parr is a sadist, laughing about the sick joke they played on every Dad out there.
Frozen 2 got delayed, so Incredibles 2 got its release date pushed up since it was ahead of schedule. That and probably just trying to make a sequel to a perfectly wrapped up movie with fulfilled character arcs. The only good way to follow up on Incredibles would be to world build on the secret super heroes thing since that was its most compelling aspect.
To that end, Incredibles 2 isn't awful. It's better than most of Pixar's output since 2011 discounting Inside Out, Coco and maybe Finding Dory. It also had the benefit of coming out at a time when super hero movies weren't done to death.
Among the last movies to actually portray a functional American family as something to emulate and aspire to, rather than targeting it with hypercritical deconstruction (like elastigirl's girlboss arc in the sequel)
>The Iron Giant : august 1999 >The Incredibles : november 2004
It sure took a while until we got more Brad Bird content. He has no credits inbetween. Joined Pixar in 2000.
I don't like how the characters looked in the sequel (Mr. Incredible especially). Ironically the more advanced animation made it look worse, they kept the cartoony proportions the same but they made the textures more realistic and it looks weird and gross.
Best Pixar movie >actual depth of characters >Not a glorified toddler pacifier >Complicated plot
It's not just a great western animated movie, it's a great animated movie overall
i'm not your buddy, friend
I'm not your friend, pal
This movie holds up so well after all these years. What the frick happened with the sequel?
i suspect they were so bent on making sure it would be safe profits that doing the EXACT same thing as the first movie seemed okay to them
Corporate shilling, they lost the magic, studio is probably full of trannies now, many such cases!
Unironically it is a movie that doesn't need a sequel and then the sequel suffered from liberal agenda. It's surprising it didn't end up worse.
there was a magic to Pixar’s golden era. it doesnt matter how ‘good’ or ‘bad’ a modern Pixar flick is, the magic is gone
brad bird's tomorrow land movie flopped so he quickly shat out an incredibles 2 to regain disney's favour, thus the script ended up being trash
It certainly holds up better than Shrek 2, which premiered less than six months before.
I liked Shrek 2, do people not like it?
It's just the Shark Tale gay. Ignore him.
I thought it was pretty good.

A kids movie had no reason to have a line that cold

I'm typically not this kind of poster, but what ethnicity is this?
>when the jannies tell me to just stop making shitposts
So, buddy is a chud incel, right?
How didn't him getting laid stop him being evil? I don't understand transisters
He wanted to get laid by Mr Incredible not some spy bawd

watched Wall-E last night bros, it was so good. I hope they never make a sequel
>Bob/Mr. Incredible, Helen/Elastigirl, Violet, Dash, Jack-Jack, Lucius/Frozone, Edna, Buddy/Syndrome, Mirage, Rick, Mr. Huph, Bernie, Kari, Tony, Honey, Mrs. Hogenson, kid in tricycle, Bomb Voyage, Omnidroids, Underminer
Great cast of characters
