Matei has a very unique and bizarre sense of humor that really worked for the time
True but I'm not sold on him having written that line. His own videos and comics have a different style to them.
The Bugs Bunny episodes are some of the funniest youtube videos ever created. I still watch them now and again and laugh my ass off
I love classic AVGN, but I never really cared for those episodes. Especially the Crazy Castle one, where half the time they're just throwing shit at each other.
Bugs Bunny going "how's it feel to be a dying man nerd?" has me floored every time, but yeah, in essence it's just James and Mikei beating each other up in costumes. If you're more into the review focused episdoes or the console features, I can see why they're not up your alley.
The outtakes for Crazy Castle are a good watch. It's just some friends getting together and having a fun time making some goofy shit. Far from the assembly line product of modern AVGN.
