People loved the characters and/or their designs. Moms love cute twinks and incels love thick girls. The best indicator of whether a series is successful or not is how much porn is able to produce. And BF got a lot.
It was. And I rather keep it that way. It hit every high I wanted as a Gundam fan and then some >that Gundam Valhalla episode were every series was referenced
[...] >furries and trannies
you're trying too hard
I know those words trigger people into thinking a post is b8 but it is my legitimate criticism of the past 2 build series. I have no idea what would posses the writers to think these were good ideas
These furries exist in a digital world. The responsibility of the writer is to make both the audience and the MCs care about these people who exist in a fake world they can log off of any time they want. Making them furries pretty much torpedoes that entire ship before it even sets sail. I'm sorry I'm just not gonna be convinced to care about furries!
>what is 2+2, and don't give me any of that 4 nonsense, I want a real answer
Furries and trannies are objectively shit and if your homosexual personal preference is to like them then your taste is shit. They were all annoying characters anyways who mostly attention hogged in their respective shows which took away attention from it being about giant robots fighting. If you can't see the reason people would not like them then you are mentally ill
The first Divers series quickly became one of my top 3 Gundam series easily. Re:Rise started on in the same caliber, but the lack of action really wrecked its potential and stumbled hard in the second half.
Second best Build series, it was a slow burner for sure, but it's way better when a series starts boring and becomes awesome by the end than when the opposite happens.
yeah, it was alright. I just wish the model kits weren't plagued by the need for extra weapon packs to actually complete them. It might work well and turn a good profit when they're printed in large amounts as it releases, but now I just don't bother trying with any of them cause finding 2 or 3 separate kits in order to complete the build (looking at you, fake nu) is far too much effort and money compared to any other line
first series was more grounded in reality that's why it did well although why they couldn't have just had Sei on his own is beyond me everything Reji did to move the plot forward Sei could have done what a bizarre decision
Divers was a shit show but I like it as an ironically harsh and realistic portrayal of the kind of cliques that form on the upper strata of MMOs and other online spaces: an incestuous pack of loudmouthed gay furries trading in obvious favoritism whose sole concern is providing emotional and material support to their in-group while being totally willing to frick over everyone else. It's the most unintentionally hilarious portrayal of a hugbox I've ever seen, like looking at a convincing fake of some shitty gaming Discord.
Almost everyone did, you're not special.
then why did it flop?
Kids got tired of several years of Build and wanted something different
>but isekai is different
lollllllllll
>flop
What is your source for this claim? It did it's job, sold it's Gunplas, even had a special music show when it ended.
Because it's bad.
but it's not
Yes it is bad. The original Build Fighters is the only good build show, each one after was progressively worse.
build fighters was mediocre, try was an abomination. didn't watch Divers
Build Fighters is amazing, Try is a poor followup, and both divers are crap.
I don't know how you can possibly like Try more than Divers.
I didn't.
Half-baked isekai garbage.
Good for you. Shut up.
lean
Just you. This shit flopped and killed the Build franchise
Why did a good show kill the franchise instead of a bad show like Try?

>flopped
How?
I tried to get into it and was really bland.
The Build had only one lightning in a bottle and that's it. It will never be reached again.
Build really was lightning in a bottle. I still remember the /m/ threads and how much of it was just a love letter to everything gundam.
It was. And I rather keep it that way. It hit every high I wanted as a Gundam fan and then some
>that Gundam Valhalla episode were every series was referenced
>Plebshit anime references
>Gundam valhalla
Jesus even bf fan service is fricking weak. Divers had way better references than look haman is here hurr dur
After Kyoukai Senki flopped even harder Sunrise Beyond will be back making more Build series.
And what's your proof that it flopped?
>buildshit
I still want that mmo. Builders made it look fun as frick
>kills the stakes
I guess you missed the furry planet getting nuked from space.
I guess I missed the part where that's my problem
I know those words trigger people into thinking a post is b8 but it is my legitimate criticism of the past 2 build series. I have no idea what would posses the writers to think these were good ideas
>Didn't watch the series
>"Muh stakes!"
>Show actually has stakes
>"Not my problem"
I'm not a big fan of the show but you're just too moronic.

>furries exist in a digital world
>fake world
Wrong. You would know if you actually watched the show.
Plenty of people cared when the furries got genocided though. It was handled reasonably well.
please give a legit reason other than personal taste that those were bad ideas
>what is 2+2, and don't give me any of that 4 nonsense, I want a real answer

So did I
everything Try onwards was just garbage. I'd still fug Shia and Fumina though.
The first Divers series quickly became one of my top 3 Gundam series easily. Re:Rise started on in the same caliber, but the lack of action really wrecked its potential and stumbled hard in the second half.
contrarianism doesn't make you special
Not being contrarian, it's the truth.
The second half was the best part though
>I watched the first two episodes
Ridiculous
I liked it too
Second best Build series, it was a slow burner for sure, but it's way better when a series starts boring and becomes awesome by the end than when the opposite happens.
I liked it as well.

also build strike was shit
>First series was more grounded in reality
it had literal aliens???
Reminder that Fukuda directed the rerising gundam episode
