Man I hate modern furry art
Where the sexy girls with guns in a sci-fi setting?!
Frick I miss how much the og furry fandom embraced geek culture, such as anime, guns, sci-fi and fantasy.
The old stuff had problems too. Everything looked the same and almost none of those comic artists had an original bone in their body. So all those fantasy and scifi stories ended up being so generic it would make an isakai author blush. For all the shit we have to put up with now furry art and comics in general have still improved.
Eh I guess, but you could argue one fad in the fandom replaced another. Like everyone is making UWU cutesy webcomics about being gay, not that I have a problem with that (I’m also lgbt) but I’m someone who is interested in fandom history and how fandom changes over the years, like how for a while in the 00s everyone and their grandmother was making over designed furry OCs with lots of colors and sparkles and shit. It also always interests me how the demographics of fandom changes. Look at any old furry or anime convention form the 80s/90s and you’ll see a bunch of men and women (but mostly men) in their 30s with neckbeards, ponytails and of course, fedoras. As the 90s and 00s progressed tho you begin to see more young people, specially within the anime Fandom. Now you have both anime and furry cons made up of mostly young people from pre teens to 20 somethings. Even stranger is how nice they all look, actually looking like they know how to dress themselves, no more ponytails or fedoras, strange.
Maybe this explains why furry art has changed, the old guys were super into weapons and sci-fi (this was after the Star Trek/Star Wars boom and most anime was sci fi) so that explains why the oldheads were so into that stuff. Also Zoomers hate sex and violence. Sexual art scares them (lol) and even violence. Like when a bunch of zoomers freaked out over GTA 4 gameplay where Niko massacred civilians in a hospital. Maybe that explains why their fan art is so UWU wholesome and cutesy
That comic wasn't particularly good, and a lot of these old-school furries weren't good artists or good writers. That artist got railroaded into jail on what seems like a spurious charge and died of a mystery illness a few years after getting out.
At first I thought that was Jim Groat because of the hat but you meant Sheppard. I often get my old school furry drama confused.
Decided to follow up on Groat, since the new year his daughter has been on the farms explaining the drama from her perspective and admitting that being allowed to run around cons causing chaos was quite fun for a child
I got stuck reading these gay furry welcomics as a closed kid. That lack of sex made it easier to feel like that's not the driving factor, like I could have been straight and just enjoyed the cute romance and drama of furry dudes without being gay. That's not to say that you can't, but that's not to say that I didn't want there to be fricking in the comic.
"I think I like you" is this for me. It's cute, but my god is it boring. And there's way too much focus on the side characters, like it comes back from hiatus (which ended with a pointless dnd story) and immediately sets up a new story arc. Right in the middle of it, there's a chapter focused on this background character with maybe five total lines of dialogue just surfing, and the next chapter is a brand new story arc with no reference to the previous one or this random surf chapter. It's all over the place. But god damn is it cute.
You are a cynical bastard. Honestly, I think anyone who hyper analyzes comics are far too cynical for 3-4 panel comics. It's not for you, just move along. Humor is subjective, sorry it's not edgy or zoomer humor absurdist enough, etc. etc.
I hate animal frickers with a passion. I was in a Discord server dedicated to posting art and critique and this one degenerate was posting his porn of a realistic bunny getting fricked in its rabbit pussy. He also seemed genuinely confused why no one else liked it like a socially unaware autist. Pic related.
>I was in a Discord server >there were some awful people in there
I am sorry about your life choices. I guess if you grew up in a bad neighborhood, you would end up hating all black people in the world, like a certain edgy female animator.
Bruh that’s just a typical furry experience. Whether it’s at cons or online there’s always that moment where everyone is having a good ol time and then one autist who can’t read the room and has zero self awareness decides act a fool and make everyone uneasy > Discord server
Christ what where you expecting
>I was in a Discord server >there were some awful people in there

t. part time semi-animal fricker with standards
Lol you talking about Emily Youcis, who was also a furry
I'm glad there are people making you guys uncomfortable, one of the joys of life is fricking with people's heads. I hope someome hijacks a CNN broadcast to air judy hopps porn
>one of the joys of life is fricking with people's heads.
That's cope though, messing with people intentionally and genuinely being creepy are too different things, and often people online are looking for community, they don't want to be considered creepy.
This ain’t SomethingAwful circa 2004, Lowtax is wormfood, and ironically many of those Goongays where gigantic closeted furries like that gross Diaperfur Schmorky
Literally everything in the comic so far had been build up to the main cast getting together. Kal is presumably the last member of the gang and we're getting his story now.
And that's a problem on its own; after hundreds of pages apparently the comic is maybe going to exit the introduction to the story some time in the next couple of years!
I've started reading the manga since the anime told me it existed. It's pretty good.
I honestly expected Wilhelm to be blood farming beastkin children in the church.
Comic is cute overall but it's a bit odd how it'll pivot between tooth rotting sweetness and jokes that are surprisingly dark considering the rest of the comic's tone.
maybe im just a cynical bastard but this isnt funny or cute
comics like this always have the lamest "jokes" yet morons eat it up
This, but if it's drawn well enough people are distracted from the shit. Or more like, oldest joke in the book.
>maybe im just a cynical
You are.
Someone has been posting random furry comics for the past weeks and they're all corny as frick
Why would a Raccoon have rabies? I've never known a Raccoon to be religious let alone israeli.
Would
A cutie made for human men
bump
No, not really. Random furry IMAGES, true. But not really complete comics.
>being triggered by the local paper's 'rudely shaped vegetable of the week' segment
jokes?
Now that's a classic.
Most of the mainstream fur shit doesn't have explicitly gay male stuff
The comic does not have to represent most cases, just get across an idea.
Man I hate modern furry art

>Bittersweet candy general and their eternal blue balls
next chapter is about to drop in a few hours. We'll see if we'll get to climax not
For me it’s that one twitter artist that makes the loose biblical oc comics
They what now
Ew
Literally most of the "cute" webcomics that get posted on Cinemaphile these days.
"I think I like you" is this for me. It's cute, but my god is it boring. This but it's waiting for a furry vore scene
>funny or cute
Comics don't have to be funny. And yes, it is cute. Your soul has been shrivelled.
You are a cynical bastard. Honestly, I think anyone who hyper analyzes comics are far too cynical for 3-4 panel comics. It's not for you, just move along. Humor is subjective, sorry it's not edgy or zoomer humor absurdist enough, etc. etc.
>there is nothing funny in the comic
I stand to differ.
1/10 merely for representing a human illness as an animal one

Yeah because it's not like living the life of a troll will not make you miserable and alone
>one of the joys of life is fricking with people's heads.

>Being proud of being an obnoxious homosexual who ruins Fandom for everyone
You gays are literally the people Evan Dorkin wrote about
Sometimes I worry my friends see me as grown up josh and feel sorry for me
Sad thing is there’s a little of these guys in every old geek
Am I the only one that doesn't understand this? They're all cartoons.
>hating on paste
Typical lavic striver
That is some men's fantasy.
some guys have all the luck
They're planning a rainbow party for the bear bully.
>They dont all suck his dick
Shit artist. Should kill himself.
Take just the middle three panels and the comic becomes infinitely better
Wrong.
This bunny needs to get raped.
by poppy
I am confus
Just a collage
Yes and so is the bat.
Now it makes sense. There was no sense.
>and so is the bat
So the bat GIRL looks like anime high school Dracula.
>GIRL
anon...
HUH
So I got more confus by anon.
rare cute bat kemoshota
>nothing of these characters on e621 except the actual comics + artist's drawings
damn
Is the bear a boy or girl?
>heterosexuality
i'm out. i can't stand straight furs
Surely it's one of those "two guys crush on the same girl then end up fricking each other" plot.
Rabbit is basically bi
is this a single page? There's different characters in every panel.
Some webcomics are actually long from plot driven works and not just one off gag strips.
long form*
I MEMBER
Where's the fricking porn
This ain’t SomethingAwful circa 2004, Lowtax is wormfood, and ironically many of those Goongays where gigantic closeted furries like that gross Diaperfur Schmorky
bnnuy 🙂
>started ANOTHER fricking storyline with new characters
This series is frustrating.
No? The Kal story has been going on for like 7 years now
None of the storylines END, it just keeps adding new ones.
Literally everything in the comic so far had been build up to the main cast getting together. Kal is presumably the last member of the gang and we're getting his story now.
And that's a problem on its own; after hundreds of pages apparently the comic is maybe going to exit the introduction to the story some time in the next couple of years!
Yes
It's only a problem if something happens to val before the end.
And Kitty
Good post.
it's funny how every single 'yuri' story is literally always 'le men bad'
List every single yuri story ever, or gtfo.
>-"le men are bad and gross but women are le perfect and cute, men should just die off"
> -epeat ad nauseam
there, every single yuri story ever made.
Okay, now go back to sucking wieners.
I accept your concession.
are you one of my "people?"
I've started reading the manga since the anime told me it existed. It's pretty good.
I honestly expected Wilhelm to be blood farming beastkin children in the church.
Which mango?
cute kemoshota
Comic is cute overall but it's a bit odd how it'll pivot between tooth rotting sweetness and jokes that are surprisingly dark considering the rest of the comic's tone.
I just want the rabbit to gay
same
The father is so disappointed with his son.
