Why live action? Just make it entirely animated, it's one of, if not the most, recognizable gaming franchises around, do they really need to slap actors faces on it to get an audience? It also doesn't lend itself to live action at all, when lego did their shit they at least had the meta level of it being physical toys without a set story, and even then they kept it sparse and didn't include a setup.
