Nobody aside from this one person draws like this

I honestly wonder what had to be done to break an artist like this. A painter can get his hands mangled in a thresher, but nothing natural would ever make him look at Captain America and think "I need to paint him as the most grotesque transsexual ever. I must give him the legs of a roasted cartoon turkey and an inflated chest, shoulders, and biceps that would make Liefeld weep. The hands must be perfect spheres like the Powerpuff Girls and the feet must be like clown shoes."

What did their teachers tell them? What the frick "inspired" them to go down this path. There isn't a single aspect of any of this design that is salvageable. If someone made an AI to make the most offensive fan art possible, it wouldn't even be close to this. Yet they did it with absolute sincerity.

That description of the art gave a laugh, well said.
As for why, I have to attribute it to the artist being cursed with a horrible fetish but refusing to acknowledge it since I only see that degree of fricked up anatomy in fetish comics.

There are artists out there who are obsessed with standing out with their own distinct characters. I wouldn't be surprised if she took that idea to heart when she got accepted to a college full of artists that had already developed theirs. She had to have gotten inspired by someone's work to have changed her style that drastically. Or, she may not know how to practice efficiently and only focused on her own art as a point of reference. When this drama happened I wonder what her peers felt.

I think the worst thing artists can do is create trash looking art due to their nearsighted attempt to stand out. I'd much rather hire an artist who can create good, but generic art since their art definitely won't look like moronic balloon animals vaguely in the shape of a human.

We were talking about this loser in a thread several weeks ago and how she only got worse and never truly learned anything as an artist. Years and years of drawing and studying and she made a couple dogshit animations and a ton of ugly art. Both vindicating to know she will always truly suck, but also depressing that someone could waste so much of their life LARPing as a professional artist and have nothing to show for it. Even Tim Buckley became a better artist, but this loser didn't.

So how does one actually better themselves as an artist and not become worse? What kind of mindset do you need?

Not that I have any room to speak, but the general idea is
      >draw a lot
      >actually do studies on perspective, anatomy, fashion, architecture, animals, and damned near everything else
      >no seriously, draw even more
      >never be happy
      >do even more drawing
      >if you haven't drawn today, you should probably draw
      >somewhere along the way, actually learn to use your tools, whatever they are. Especially the digital ones
      >actually take a break from digital art and just do some ballpoint pen doodles on actual paper for a bit
      >do more drawing
      >etc

I disagree with this, you can draw and study to your hearts content, but if you never incorporate what you've learned into your personal projects and find yourself drawing the same gay shit over and over again, then you can still be susceptible to the same road RCDArt went down.
In all honesty, you just need to have a good eye for design and not be an art school fujo to avoid this problem.

RCDArt's problem was that she was all style, no substance. She didn't understand why simplification and stylization were useful tools for some artists to use in some contexts. She assumed abstracting and simplifying over and over was some kind of goal unto itself, and did pretty much nothing but vague shape theory bullshit.

I'd still recommend actually doing studies, but with the goal of improving on things you're bad at drawing. The true mistake most people tend to make is drawing the same things in the same ways, over and over, wondering how they can do it faster and easier and with less struggle, instead of finding ways to draw more things with more skill. Even Rob Liefeld eventually learned to draw feet.

Rcdart was one of the very rare exceptions where someone actually got worse at art. He's not the norm. Most people who go to art college don't start drawing hourglass Cap and racist caricature Finns.

if an artist is already technically skilled, then you need to learn what makes something appealing. developing a sense for 'good' aesthetic is just as important.

understand what it is about shape language that makes a character design good. RCDart just started exaggerating chest/hip ratios, ignoring proportions and, as a result, ended in really unappealing fish-lipped caricatures rather than designs.

I feel like nobody who's ever seen a schizo filling an entire gallery with the same awful pictures for 12 years is gonna take you seriously. Or, like in pic related, they lost the plot along the way.
If someone asks like the person to responding you, they may very well be afraid to fall into that position.

Perfectionism, autism, not being afraid of criticism and actual passion.
I'd say good tutors but there are zero out there so good luck.
Drawgays on this site tend to get applause for even shit drawings for example and that's fine for comedy but I have yet to be impressed by anything I've seen from here.
I'm not an artist myself but my friend who makes Deviantart tier shit would probably seethe if I told him his drawings look like shit, so don't be an artist who can't take criticism.
Also don't try and pretend shit drawings are good or entertain people that criticize parts of your art that are objectively good.

I think as far as anyone can tell, she deleted most of her social media and ended up not getting any sort of illustration of animation work. Guess there's no employers who are willing to hire someone whose biggest accomplishment is getting a KnowYourMeme page that explains all the racist and trans fetish art she drew.

their portfolio site is still up but everything save for the about page is behind a password. I imagine if they are getting any work its from people who don't use social media or can look past it.

This artist was clearly drawing weird fetish art but in denial about it being weird or fetish art. Everyone can tell. It's not calarts, it's just one idiot no one takes seriously.

There's a ton of artists these days that draw nothing but troony fetish art, but wrap it in a package of positivity and activism because it doubles the dopamine hit they get from losers on the internet. I've come across a few that can't help but put huge, practically glowing top surgery scars on every single one of their drawings of homolust bara anime guy drawings.

And the worst part? People would have been fine with her if she was just honest about it being weird fetish art. Well, except for trannies on Tumblr, but who gives a frick. As far as I'm concerned, you can draw any weird fetish art as long as you leave me out of it. I used to be friends with a diapergay of all people because he genuinely knew I didn't like the fetish, and so we just didn't talk about it.

Majority of trannies are mentally unstable, horny autists who fetishize everything about the fricked up shit they do to themselves and encourage others to do to themselves. It's perversion gone out of control. I think RCDArt's biggest sin was making it look so horrendous and clownishly stupid. Made the trannies go
