Adept swordsmen, immortality vs precog, men better than normal humans. I dig it. It's more interesting than Paul getting all his weapons destroyed by a lightsaber and losing to even original trilogy Luke.
Nobody outside of VS really thinks Luke VS Invincible or Naruto is a natural MU. It's like those people who want Sailor Moon to fight Sora instead of another magical girl or even Seiya or Goku.

I can see that, though it's even more niche. Dune at least gets a sequel out now, while John Carter's last big outing was a flop.

It is a bit more remote, but it is one of the legacy matchups. I think it might have been an old Spacebattles thread where someone threw a shitfit from the concept of Usagi beating/stomping the God Emperor.
The dwarves can dig and hide underground and emerge when they want to dictate the terms of the fight, unless the divers land an alpha strike right off the bat with a carpet bombing it goes like Bomberman vs Dig Dug.
The divers basically cannot use stratagems underground, and are going to lose time/lives to just having to resurface so that they can use the supply stratagem.
The inability to move around like dwarves can means they'll need to use their back-pack slot on a Jetpack. Limiting the ability to carry ammo for the more important to success air support or anti-aemour air support. It does essentially make the Railgun the go to support weapon though (not like it wasn't already).
Many dwarf heavy guns disintegrate which is our of the question in Helldivers and all of that is an aside from the fact that helldivers are of dubious and variable quality as fighters.
