Millennial humor is built entirely off of feeling bad for themselves and the world around them. It's why they slurped up shows like Bojack and Rick and Morty. It's all just >DUDE I WANT TO DIE AND HATE EVERYONE XD
Zoomer humor is a rehash of Millennial YTP LOL SO RANDOM XD humor, sorry dude

Not at all.
Millennials did popularize the use of internet slang, for better or for worse.
>our humor is just so advanced old generations don’t get it >nah older generations did it first >UMM ACKSUALLY EVEN OLDER GENERATIONS DID IT FIRST
lol
YTPs weren't big enough to contribute to popular culture, most millennials have Rick and Morty humor

I always see clips of beavis and butthead and king of the hill and like them
Are the two shows worth watching from the beginning? I really liked golden-era simpsons

Yes. I just started watching King of the Hill after kinda petering out of The Simpsons during season 10. It reminds me a lot of early Simpsons and is even better in some ways. Beavis and Butt-Head is also great. The characters are a little meaner in the first couple of seasons but when the show comes into itself it's just great.

They're both really great shows. B&B is a bit dated now but still has a lot of funny moments. I'd say KotH is more consistent and a better show overall, although the humor is a bit dry in the first couple of seasons. I definitely recommend them

I find b&b pretty grating, the most comedy I got out of it was doing political arguments with their voices with my friend in school, so I'd say try out an episode or two. KOTH though, is very good.

Tom green might actually be one of the funniest frickers out there just due to his unbridled insistence on making the joke as stupid yet as funny as possible. Everything he did was to make someone who didn't get the joke seethe. It was fricking hilarious, and that's not even mentioning freddy got fingered which was absolute gold. Beavis and Butthead were kino on a similar level for the generation that came before, and it holds up just as well. Do America is fricking great and the show worked up the same level of pseud rage that tom green did. It just fricking infuriated people who were obsessed with comedy being "smart" rather than funny, which is fricking hilarious in and of itself.

Welcome to the Tom Green show.
It is my favorite show.
Because it is my show.
I miss laughing my guts out at his stupid show. Strangely, you can't find a good gif of him sucking a cow teet.

Random humour is more of a millennial thing, think early youtube. Gen z simply took their humor and went another step farther, but added racism into the mix (based)
I remember a kid that was always in my social group would say “le” or “muh” in real life. At the time I had no idea what the frick he meant. Pretty sure he put my dog inside my couch when nobody was around too
This is literally every conversation I have with zoomies on Cinemaphile >zoomer: "Boomer humor sucks" >me: "Ok, name some good zoomer humor" >no response
I'm '94 and I remember me and my friends discovering Sam Hyde when his Ted Talk first released and following him through Kickstarter TV all the way up until now.
Actually, I guess it was slightly before that come to think of it, since that was in 2013 and we were definitely watching him while we were still in HS.
so it's fair to say he's late millennial/early zoomer

MDE's style definitely seems to influence a lot of zoomer memes/humour, sometimes unknowingly. You can tell MDE was heavily inspired by Tim & Eric as well which is kind of ironic now.
boomers like very heavy handed humor, gen x likes ironic humor, millennials like a more deadpan ironic humor than gen x, zoomers think the more obnoxious something is the funnier it is
My dad is a boomer and nowadays he only laughs at Geico commercials. Only the ones featuring the gecko. Won’t even crack a smile at comedies he loved when I was a kid
Was fiending a comfy show one night and turned it on having never seen a clip
The DAMNED KEK b***h had to open his mouth with quirky facts. Why? The footage was good. Just say normal shit. Not le goofy dialogue. And not Attenborough. There was so much potential
Dunno who this is but Zoomers don't have humor. They alternate between explosive sarcasm and the ironic detachment that they carry on from Millennials. They may or may not be autistic individually but their generation's culture is definitely the first that is on the spectrum.
They're beyond cynical, they're demoralized from birth. So, you take humor, which by it's nature is meant to be a sort of imposition. It's very nature is an unexpected surprise, and you apply it to zoomers they almost get angry. It's sort of like how some people get viscerally annoyed at word puns.
the difference between zoomers and millenials is that they never had any hope or idealism to begin with because they witnessed millenials get screwed over by the existing boomer-centric system. Younger zoomers humor, clothing and personalities are basically ironic nihilism expressed through 90's sarcasm and 80's fashion.
It's post-ironic. They ARE moronic homosexuals but they also know that as moronic homosexuals they're marketable. There's no Mike Judge behind the curtain
>dude it's not SUPPOSED to be funny
zoomers in a nutshell
Zoomers aren't supposed to be people so it works.
To be fair, Space Ghost Coast to Coast was doing that back in the '90s.
gen x humor is the worst, you all suck star wars wiener like a bunch of consoooomers
Imagine getting pissed off at Joe Pera
Haha guy mocking sincerity, irony shield protects me from being vulnerable
bump
This. Irony has been raped and left humor in a ditch. Nothing is sincere anymore.
Go frick your mother you fat c**t
I think it’s just a comfy show with moments that are pretty hilarious. I enjoy it’s sincerity and isn’t ever mocking anything
Pic related is one of my favorite moments
>sincerity
Yeah the guy pretending to be autistic is sincere lol
He’s not supposed to be autistic. Because he talks slow and soft?
That’s just how it was in Google images.
>makeagif.com
you blew it
>purple jelly
>you mean grape jelly?
>yeah, whatever
>I needed this win!
I genuinely think about that line a lot. I also need a win, bros...
joe pera isn't zoomer humor, it's millennial humor for millennials who are tired of millennial humor largely being based in cynicism
>no true zoomer
This is getting really annoying now
He is absolutely correct. I'm not entirely sure zoomer humor is currently represented on tv, it's all on tiktok
>no true zoomer
Your generation would be cooler if you had the balls to exist without hiding behind 17 layers of ironic detachment
I'm turning 33 in September you dolt. Joe Pera is garbage by the way
>still doing the ironic detached thing
Kek such a pussy, keep hiding
Seethe and dilate
its a bait thread
nailed it. post ironic sincerity is the trend
He is why dfw killed himself.
Joe Pera is a millennial you dumb boomer, have a nice day
>No true zoomer
Really annoying

God damnit, I laughed
Nice pic but "random" humor was present in all of them. We had fgfds and DSFARGEG remember
Random humour is more of a millennial thing, think early youtube. Gen z simply took their humor and went another step farther, but added racism into the mix (based)
Why do zoomers try and talk black all the time, then?
Hey, I'm actually dying 🙂 feels right
humor for us has mostly been built off of sarcasm and cynicism.
Sincerity, even if kind of ironic at times in joe pera, feels fresh and warm
It's just a wholesome show. No twist, just a regular dude living his life
I fricking hate le quirky nerd bullshit like this guy
Permaban all -oomer posters and people who use "le" and "xd" ironically.
I remember a kid that was always in my social group would say “le” or “muh” in real life. At the time I had no idea what the frick he meant. Pretty sure he put my dog inside my couch when nobody was around too
Shut the frick up newbie
That was like 12 years ago, moron
"muh" wasn't around then liar
Muh came around 2003-2006.
This is literally every conversation I have with zoomies on Cinemaphile
>zoomer: "Boomer humor sucks"
>me: "Ok, name some good zoomer humor"
>no response
They probably immediately think of something from tiktok but realize they can’t use that
Sam Hyde is a millennial. Cool millennials (me) watched him back in 2010.
>n-no that doesn't count
don't know what to tell you bro. I'm a zoomer (born in 97) and I watched a lot of MDE when I was a teen
I'm '94 and I remember me and my friends discovering Sam Hyde when his Ted Talk first released and following him through Kickstarter TV all the way up until now.
Actually, I guess it was slightly before that come to think of it, since that was in 2013 and we were definitely watching him while we were still in HS.

yea shame what happened there between sam and tim
My grandma is obsessed with this show for some reason she always has like 10 episodes on her DVR
boomer seethe thread?
boomers like very heavy handed humor, gen x likes ironic humor, millennials like a more deadpan ironic humor than gen x, zoomers think the more obnoxious something is the funnier it is
My dad is a boomer and nowadays he only laughs at Geico commercials. Only the ones featuring the gecko. Won’t even crack a smile at comedies he loved when I was a kid
FRICK this guy. He ruined his own good idea.
Was fiending a comfy show one night and turned it on having never seen a clip
The DAMNED KEK b***h had to open his mouth with quirky facts. Why? The footage was good. Just say normal shit. Not le goofy dialogue. And not Attenborough. There was so much potential
>TV hates Joe Pera now
What the frick? Have none of you been in the generals? That shit is peak comfy kino
This is just one thread, anon. Make it another day and everyone will love it
Joe Pera is based
His schtick is actually real. He's actually this nervous nerdy guy who likes to be comfy.
this is....kind of funny...if you're a buffalo bills fan
I like when he makes random appearances on Townsend’s episodes.
The stool episode was really nice. I've watched it a few times, now
I liked when he turned Super Saiyan

Zoomers aren't smart enough to get away with being cynical. Instead, they're just obnoxious.
sounds like you got an axe to grind bro
Yes.
bitterness is an ugly thing
But it doesn't make me wrong.
So is your mother and yet here you are.
is this the power of boomer humor?
You should just call it humor since there is no such thing as zoomer humor.
the difference between zoomers and millenials is that they never had any hope or idealism to begin with because they witnessed millenials get screwed over by the existing boomer-centric system. Younger zoomers humor, clothing and personalities are basically ironic nihilism expressed through 90's sarcasm and 80's fashion.
what about cumtown
is that related to the adam friedland show?
yes
what are even some examples of mainstream zoomer humour?
saying zoomers aren't funny because of tiktok is meaningless, when have social media memes ever been funny? Was myspace funny?
I would unironically pick the fatty, she has pretty nice teeth. You can unfat, but you can't fix ugly.
>Was myspace funny?
No, but ebaumsworld was. What is the zoomer equivalent?
>ebaumsworld
cringe
It was the "myspace"-tier version of a funny site. That's the point, moron.
Joe Pera is just a poor man's version of Garrison Keillor and his Lake Wobegon stories bit.
zoomer "humor"
the gag is that they are moronic homosexuals you idiot it's an iteration on the idea of beavis and butthead
>he didn't get it
Found the cringe boomer
It's post-ironic. They ARE moronic homosexuals but they also know that as moronic homosexuals they're marketable. There's no Mike Judge behind the curtain
Just here to say I want to FRICK his big tittied autismo gf in the show
Idk ive only ever met old people who like this show
