Can we all just agree that Mike Judge and Seth MacFarlane are both better than Matt Groening, seeing as how the latter has milked his cartoons for the absolute worst while Judge and Seth are still quite consistent with both of their respective qualities?
>Can we all just agree that
no
🙁
🙁
>Seth Rogan
>not milking Family Guy and FamGuy adjacents
Wrong Seth you actual moron
are you just projecting? Ted and Ted 2 are really successful and American Dad is really good
I actually quite liked The Cleveland Show. The show gets better by the second season.
>Ted 2
ah yes, the movie that spoiled it's own ending in the trailers
The gameplay is as mediocre as you'd expect, but it's neat to fully explore the Planet Express building and ship. The game did get all the voice actors to reprise their roles, and it's written by a veteran simpsons/futurama writer, so it's basically a bonus episode. They put a cutscene compilation on one of the movie dvds, but here's an upscale version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ulc4_6lBaMs
Overall I'd say satisfactory cash-in, this plus the Simpsons Game(2007) are worth checking out. Can't say the same for the other two's
Well yes, but has anyone checked out the American Dad video game?
It's a shame American Dad missed out on the licensed vidya train, it would've been a great fit
Sadly, the only American Dad games are from mobile. Apocalypse Soon, some pinball game and both Animation Domination crossover games (Animation Throwdown and Warped Kart Racers).
THERE WAS A KING OF THE HILL GAME??
Yeah it was a shovelware PC game, it sucked
Yes, but you didn't miss much really. It's just a disappointingly shitty shovelware point and click PC game released in 2000, and this is sadly the only official King of the Hill game we'll ever get.
>be MacFarlane
>get into movie making which went no where (Ted)
>make a Star Trek-inspired show no one watches
Seth is devoid of creativity. Mike Judge is probably gonna retire after Silicone Valley.
Groening still passionate about his big money makers.
At the end of the day, they are all rolling in money so who cares.
dude Silicon Valley's been over years now. Hulu picked up King of the Hill revival last year and its currently in production. Beavis and Butthead has had several new seasons and movies these past few years.
Both Ted and Ted 2 broke even
Mike yes, Seth no.
Judge is so far above the other two that it's not even a fair comparison. Simpsons and Futurama were never good because of Groening but because of the people he got on those shows
Does Groening even work on Futurama? I thought it was more David X. Cohen's baby.
I think he comes around sporadically to supervise production.
Groening didn't do shit on any of "his" shows.
no
Nah
The three cartoons Matt Groening have helmed all were completely different from each other.
Seth just made Family Guy, Patriotic Family Guy, and Black Family Guy Spinoff.
Mike Judge made Beavis and Butthead, Beavis and Butthead Cynical Spinoff, Beavis and Butthead Royalty Free Conservative Spinoff, and Beavis and Butthead Royalty Free Conservative Spinoff (Liberal Edition)
I'm so sorry, but what's all those Mike Judge shows? He didn't develop Daria, right?
Beavis and Butthead
Daria
King of the Hill
The Goode Family
Im not sure of Daria's development and considering the tone of it, out of all of those shows it probably has the least of his involvement. Koth was 100% made from material from B&B as admitted by judge as Mr. Anderson is literally Hank. The Goode Family is just "What if Koth but liberal" and many of the dynamics of the show are just copy and pasted from Koth.
The issue with the Goode family was that it didn't feel genuine. The Goodes were mainly being environmental because everybody else in their community judges them otherwise. It was all performative, which is pretty much true for nearly all SJWs. Their way of life is never examined and criticized and portrayed them as always having the correct values.
>Their way of life is never examined and criticized and portrayed them as always having the correct values.
It was, it just goes over chud's heads
Bitch, the whole reason The Goode Family flopped is because Mike Judge was being about as subtle as a rhinoceros stampede with the liberal stereotypessage
The problem was that it was clearly made to mock the family
king of the hill was based on real people he met and respected which made it more a love letter then anything else
I mean, how can someone respect the Goodes?
I don't know how the show could've been successful when the family was so insufferable. Would it have been better if we got to watch the family slowly give up their wokeness? For instance, have Helen flip shit on everyone criticizing her for forgetting her reusable bag? Or could the Goodes never be more than pushovers?
honestly it should have just not been made
mike should stick to things he knows instead of trying to force humor
How can you make SJWs subtle?
Judge had nothing to do with Daria, to the point that he basically signed legally binding documents denying any role in creating her outside of telling Glenn Eichler "make me a female character for Beavis and Butthead to interact with" on his own free will, to ensure MTV couldn't legally use his name to promote Daria's series.
That and the characters just sucked and reeked of being an American Dad rip-off.
The Goode family was nothing like the Smiths.
>Seth just made Family Guy, Patriotic Family Guy, and Black Family Guy Spinoff.
You actual moron, American Dad is NOTHING like Family Guy, and you're just giving his three animated shows as examples. Why not something like Ted or The Orville or his musical albums? It's Trey Parker fancucks like yourselves who act as if Seth is a one trick note.
I think we can agree just based off the flight logs.
Seth is the wormiest of them, not a doubt in my mind.
he has the worst values, but his talent is real at least
Family Guy has been zombie shit for 20 years and King of the Hill's latter seasons completely flanderized every character. If the Simpsons hadn't had all the cultural capital they had, either one could've occupied that space and and become unwatchable garbage, which Family Guy more or less has. Each of these shows and Futurama has only a handful of very good seasons, and the Simpsons frankly had the longest run, and only their 30 year run is all that drags that average down.
>forgets to mention American Dad
why zoomers like yourselves can't even mention it is a mystery to me
Because it's been relegated to basic cable and nobody cares about it. I've been told it's still good but hell if I'm ever going to watch it. You could stop any normal off the street and they can probably identify Homer, Hank and Peter, but I'd bet money the percentage that recognizes Stan or Roger is significantly lower
It's amazing because American Dad is better than Family Guy.
we could've had a macfarlene-style 007 parody game
Aw now I really want that! Goldeneye but in Langley Falls.
Sorry you say somethin
>Seth MacFarlane
his funniest show is American Dad and it only started getting funny after he stopped writing for it
I know one thing we can all agree on: Justin Roiland's a fricking loser.
Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro >>>>> Justin Roiland
