Can we have a serious discussion about comics on Cinemaphile?
I think that it would be a good idea to make an exception to the rules on "pornography" when it comes to official comics which feature mature themes. More specifically, I think that board culture will simply get better if we're allowed to storytime comics with mature subject matter, including ones of sex. I'm not saying we should be able to storytime "The Mayor" or anything like that. An example would be a European comic that features these themes.
What do you think?
My opinion boils down tho this: if we expect the board to be mature, then we should allow mature content. Not lewd, mind you, just mature.

have you tried storytiming or you just making shit up? Mods don't check what's inside of comics

You don't know what the hell a mod does. They do whatever the frick they want and you can't say shit or they ban you.

yeah but I never got banned for storytiming

Never gonna happen. One time someone was storytiming Blacksad, a European detective comic where everyone is an anthro and during the storytime some mod got rid of the pages where visible nipple was shown despite nothing Furfaffinity-tier happening

Enjoy your political charged twitter screencap bait threads instead OP

So the mods are too immature to handle a bit of nipple just because it's on an anthropomorphic character. That's just dumb. I kinda remember that happening, too.

sounds like bullshit, because hall monitors will also ban you for even saying something political in response to someone else's political commentary

if a hall monitor banned images of a comic that isn't even specifically sexual, they're a shitbag.

I'm surprised they didn't outright remove the thread for having anthropomorphic animals in it, got randomly banned once for posting Leggy Lamb fanart.

        They tend to do that.
Also, the mods just don't let people have fun. Instead of playful or coy interactions, we have to play a shitty game of satire where people might lose out on the meaning of what we're saying. Look at pic for example. I made this edit. Guess how the original image looks.

It apparently doesn't matter if yo follow the rules or post something that's entirely with the realm of "appropriate." I mean, the comic's ultimately a joke comic, but the mods get scared or angry and just delete it. It's actually ridiculous.

It's unfortunate that we have tons of threads full of salivating coomers posting highly-lewd content and actual pornography with little actual relevance to the board, but we're hesitant about posting non-sexual comics with minimal, tasteful nudity.
If the comics side wants to have its half of the board, we need stronger autism and we need to stop being so careful. Stop being so sensitive and start posting good shit. Stop replying to bait and start bumping comic-related threads instead.

I think you're right. Plus, mods don't watch storytime threads like hawks (unless they involve anthro characters).
There's this European comic I want to storytime but it seems hard to do so because it has nudity. I don't even know the name of it yet, but I definitely want to storytime it. The art's nice (like every other European comic, honestly).

    Blue Board

More specifically, you cannot have any place on the internet which has anything that included mature themes without restricting it to adults-only. This is because a child might be randomly clicking around and see the implication of a nipple, turning to a complete life of crime as a result. Nobody wants to take liability of a screaming Karen b***hing over showing porn to minors, so they keep that shit locked down and scrubbed. And it's going to stay that way. You can storytime over on

    [...]

    instead.

Of course, kids could just want a Call of Duty trailer about people's heads exploding or click "I am over 18" to see said breasts, but that would clearly never happen.

Are there any other good sites to discuss or read on Cinemaphilemics?

Just keep making comic threads. Spoiler sensitive content.
The problem isn't just moderation and the morons, it's also the non-morons that refuse to post for one reason or another.

      I wish.

Personally, I have nothing against what's going in those threads. They've got their tastes and I've got my own. I feel like their existence wouldn't be so necessary if the board as a culture matured.

The other day, we had a discussion about Mickey Mouse and it was so dead. And someone asked why on Cinemaphile would a discussion about Mickey be so dead.

What the frick are you going to discuss about Mickey Mouse, outside it entering into public domain?

Dunno, but you'd expect discussions about disney to be more lively than just "Disney is dying, again, for the 100th time this year."

They would have a better time on /aco/ since their shit constantly gets deleted. It doesn't make sense.

    What is The Mayor btw?

It's a sex comic about a white mayor having sexual encounters with black chicks.

All this would do is push Cinemaphile further into being /aco/-lite more then it already is. You already can't discuss female characters on this board without it devolving into a coom thread or someone spamming barely sfw art. You seriously think people on here would actually discuss the comic in question and not just talk about how horny they are instead?

I thought about that and I feel like the opposite would happen. If we're allowed to discuss more mature Cinemaphile, then people will feel less a need to discuss something that borders childish and sexual.

    Why would we expect that?

Doesn't matter, This isn't Cinemaphile where mature comics are appreciated, capeshit don't have nudity and that's the only thing Cinemaphile cares about.
