it is a place not of sight or sound, but of mind.
he explains it at the start and end of every episode you fricking doofus
What he say?
You fricking peat-gavel
It’s the paranormal world where the events of the series take place.
*only two episodes do not include paranormal or sci fi themes- the communist defector trapped in the room by the two hitmen, the man who removes his voice box to win the bet. Some people include the slot machine episode but I don’t because the ending implies the slot machine ghost was alive and was haunting him.
The slot machine episode sucked.
Filtered beyond imagination. I've noticed MAGAtards are particularly vulnerable to that episode. I think it's because it hits way too close to home with regards to their repressed homosexual tendencies. The character in that episode acts so morally superior, but as soon as he touches one of those machines he falls harder and faster than the most degenerate scumbag gambler. MAGAtards are the same way. You get a dick near their mouth and a week later they'll be attending a piss orgy.
Never thought I’d see such an accurate comparison between the twilight zone episode about a haunted slot machine and repressed gays in Drumpfs America.
Please stop shitting up this thread with your Trump obsession, dipshits. It's not healthy.
>Please stop shitting up this thread with your Trump obsession, dipshits. It's not healthy.
we don't post selfies here
>Try's to own a conservative

moron
Frick you stupid libtard fricking b***h. I'm not fricking gay. I get bombarded by YouTube ads trying to show me gay shit. I get bombarded by the media trying to show me troony shit. Amazon tries to sell me dildos and assplugs. There's no getting away from it. Back in the day the only gay shit I did was a joke. That's all gay shit was...A JOKE. Now if I jumped in the shower with a buddy naked to scare him suddenly I'd be gay. Men can't even fool around and be men anymore without some idiot thinking it's homoerotic. I am absolutely positive I'm straight and if you put a dick near my mouth in a non-joking way you could cancel your upcoming dick removal surgery.
I hope this is bait and you're not actually this moronic.
Rent free.
Rob Serling's smelly bunghole
It's a tv show hosted by a guy that was really mentally fricked up by what he saw during ww2
The mind of israeli chain smoker
There's an episode where the Christian Bible has some passages read by a righteous character, so for a israelite he was pretty based.
>so for a israelite he was pretty based.
Heil Hitler
even Hitler didn't hate every israelite, friend
yes we know hitler was actually israeli and xis real name was schekelgrubber
Rod Serling is an elder god and the Twilight Zone is the dimension he takes people to so that he can frick with them.
Canonically, Rod Serling is the creation of “Gregory West” because West destroyed Serling at the end of his episode by tossing the tape in the fire.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_World_of_His_Own
This implies the entire show is within Gregory West’s head.
That's one of the best ones.
It’s also the closest the show gets to explaining some kind of overarching lore to the show even if it was a brief joke segment.
>Leaving Mr. Gregory West—still shy, quiet, very happy... and apparently in complete control of The Twilight Zone.
Wait it's not all in the same universe?
No, it is but Mr west is the one in control of it, not Rod.
It's one of the ones that really sticks in my mind, same as the one with the pilots that go back in time and see dinosaurs.
I prefer the ww1 british forward time traveling pilot
Or the wagon train guy who goes to the 60s to get antibiotics for his kid.
Or the Us army guys who walk into Custers Last stand
They did that exact plot a hundred times.
The one and only time the meta meme worked.
Is Rod currently in the twilight zone? I hope it’s someplace nice
Do any of the reboots have good episodes or should I just skip all of them?
>Do any of the reboots have good episodes
name one reboot of anything that ever had good episodes
Star Trek TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT
Outer Limits
Twin Peaks the return (not sure if that count)
Doctor Who
>new series in same universe
>sucked
>new season
>new season
None of those count because the only reboot in them was trash you fricking moron.
>Outer limits
>trash
Gay
battlestar galactica
Best gender swap in history. It's acceptable as long as they do it right.
I dropped BG like 5 episodes in because she was incredibly annoying.
I can see that but she gets what is coming to her.
It is really preposterous, but if you enjoy that extremely campy and corny sci-fi with a political bent then it is really quite the series.
Wouldn't recommend you push through it if you really don't like it.
>missed out on one of the best shows ever
homosexual
Dirk Benedict was furious about it.
I saw the sequel to “it’s a good life” and thought it okay. It is on YouTube.
1980's Twilight Zone is pretty great
The reaction to it was very similar to how the Jordan Peele show was received. I've heard rants about about bad it was since I was a kid.
Genuinely, the Twilight Zone works because Rod Serling is so brilliant. If you want more Teilight Zone, go watch Night Gallery
Fun fact: the original ending for Planet Of The Apes had Charlton Heston go back to earth on his rocket, only to see that humans are working to increase ape intelligence using scientific experimentation. It was Rod Sterling’s draft of the script which changed the ending, so that the planet is earth, and he sees the Statue of Liberty on the beach

Not that anon, but that is genuinely impressive.
Also glad he had a good relationship with his daughter.
>tfw your dad will never jokingly sing tone-deaf folk covers with the lyrics changed to anti-nuclear talking points at you
Twilight zone is when some israelite gets on his soapbox and tells you what to think.
>thinking about things differently is... LE BAD!
this is why you will die a virgin
>brings up sex out of nowhere
You watch a lot of porn, don't you?
Yes. But I also have a lot of sex with women. So seethe harder, homosexual.
The Masks and The Howling Man will forever stick with me. My dad told me about them when I was a kid but didn't actually see them until I was a teenager. It felt like I was watching lost footage of something I'd imagined in my head for years.
While Black Mirror can be hit or miss, I'm glad it has more success for being its own thing rather than trying to steal the name of thing I remember.
Watching it for the first time. So many of these episodes are boring. Why was this so beloved?
Filtered
18+ website, zoom zoom
reminds me when my middle school teacher brought in the twilight zone and everyone in my class loved it.
(i'm 22 so this was about 2016 e.g I was in middle school 6 years ago. LOL!)
Most of them are slow burns, I thought zoomers loved that shit.
there's a whole schpiel at the beginning of every episode.
Es ist “spiel”, schwanzschwulen.
that's how I schpell it
What's the name of the one with the WW2 soldiers and the pistol that whoever is carrying it dies? I remember that one being very underrated and I can't find it.
One of my favorite shows I thoroughly enjoyed it I couldn't really get into the new one so much but it's pretty good
Yeah I stopped at season 2 and I'm back on it
i always thought of it as a kind of chaos zone looking to disrupt the normal world. i haven't watched it in a while, but there always seemed to be one agent of chaos violating the normal world. paranormaling it up and making things interesting.
I'm starting to think it's just a universe(s) like ours except everything is possible and only a few people know that
No, read what I wrote earlier in the episode. It’s a writer who talks into a tape recorder and everything he says magically just happens. The entire series is him making all that stuff happen by thinking up ideas in that recorder. This is the canon explanation of the show’s continuity and how each episode connects to one another.
Oh really? I gotta rewatch that episode
It’s my head canon that Rod Serling and thus the entire show is Gregory West’s personal creation he willed into existence with his tape recorder.
Im not sure that's the case. The recorder can only exist in the twilight zone, how can an object from the twilight zone create the twilight zone? I'll watch it again, but I still think my theory has some weight
Anyone else watching?
Yes, it’s the ant sized people build a shrine to the narcissistic spaceman episode on right now.
Heroes and icons?
Rod Serling was at D Day. He was a paratrooper.
> Over the next year of paratrooper training, Serling and others began boxing to vent aggression. He competed as a flyweight and had 17 bouts, rising to the second round of the division finals before being knocked out.
So that’s where he got his ideas from
Being totally knocked out feels like you lived through a Twilight Zone episode and forgot it when you came to.
Yep, switched over from DECADES to H&I
Here’s what’s playing.
Yeah, I watched it yesterday and today. Kino.
Yep, but I'm skipping the ham-fisted Dachau episode playing right now.
Loved the Over the Rim one. Also the one where the guy's dream is real.
You’re on the west coast and are a few hours behind. We’re on the Little people episode.
Not sure if I ever saw that one, looking forward.
The 1980s series was legitimately scary at times, some anons need to check that one out if they can.
The megalomaniac astronaut makes contact with microscopic sized people and becomes their God.
How the hell did the ant sized people build that massive statue?
The one where rod sterling kills a hooker, puts her in the trunk and drives his car off a pier before calling his lawyer.
It amazes me how they managed to make seemingly dumb plots touching in a meaningful way
>the street salesman who tries to cheat death
>kick the can
>walking distance
>>the street salesman who tries to cheat death
>>kick the can
distance
It's because they were done with sincerity which means having and showing real emotions which most people in the entertainment industry don't have and why everything is sarcastic, cynical and nihilistic!!!FACT!!!
I just want a retro black & white TZ show set in the era that the original was made that copies the style and aesthetics that the original show had. Sure CGI would be used but don't over do it by having fancy Blade Runner environments or H.R. Giger style aliens. Draw from pulp Sci-fi/Horror movies/comics and keep things visually simple while there's plenty of great short stories that could be adapted!!!FACT!!!
Also, for me it's...
Nothing In The Dark
The Lonely
Nick of Time
!!!FACT!!!
>the lonely
Basado
Was wondering when you’d show up buddy.
Would your new TZ have a host?
>trying to advertise the 4th of july marathon
>not realizing paramount mandated that syfy show the peele series this year
what is even the point
rod serling was a smug israelite libtard who had total contempt for the white american public and considered himself morally superior thereto. the twilight zone was just his personal propaganda outlet and a way for him to wag his finger at gentiles while delivering sophomoric moral sermons
Idk he seemed like a nice guy to me
What do we think of The Outer Limits?
I quit after the first episode, biggest load of shit I’ve ever seen
It’s funny, I actually love that episode.
The Galaxy Being, right? The atmosphere and effects are great and the plot is fantastic. Maybe I just love radio and broadcast, but it had me hooked.
I just couldn’t take it seriously. On paper it’s something I should like but I just couldn’t enjoy it
>sell your soul to someone who's obviously Satan
>it works out for a couple minutes until you're stuck in your own personal hell forever
How many times did that happen in the Twilight Zone?
>that one episode where the sharply dressed man talking to the old lady was actually good
