>*Superman has his two besties over to the Kent farm for family dinner* >Cap: I'll tell you, Clark, nothing beats a farm grown, home cooked meal from loving parents. Don't you agree, Bruce? >*Batman just glares*
>Cap keeps making comments about having great parents and things like that. >Batman is too angry and Superman is too unsure of how to bring up the fact that Bruce's parents died right in front of him
>Superman asks about Cap's parents >Cap mentions that never got to know his father before he died and that he watched his mother slowly waste away from disease before he was thrown out of his childhood home due to being poor as dirt >Superman is mortified >Batman makes a mental note to never mention his origin around Cap, ever
And then Cap would jump right into asking about desert without realizing just how uncomfortable he made the entire evening.
Boom, perfect comic book.

I don't know what the premise for them hanging out would be but it wouldn't be that hard.
Weirdly enough Captain America feels like he could seamlessly blend into the DC universe the more I think about it.
They're both general friendly people. I can't imagine why they wouldn't get along swimmingly. Maybe some gag about them thinking each other was a bit cornball but otherwise they'd be pals. Now Iron Man and Batman, however, would HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE each other.
They only met in JLA/Avengers, which is a great crossover but Busiek made them both act like dicks in an attempt to contrast the two universes. This is explained as the two of them being too "attuned" to their own realities and being put on edge by Krona's frickery. They get over it and apologize in the end but it's probably the worst part of the story.
Bruce and Stark would have fun interactions. Especially during high society meet ups, with dates, like Selina and whoever Stark brings (Janet/Emma/Nat/etc)
Yes.

Fp, only post
They would be such good friends that Batman would get jealous.
Nah.

It's that golden age charm.
Frick all capeshit.
Enjoy your vacation?
Nah, Superman would think Cap was incompetent and Cap would call Superman a facist.
Cap and Supes get on each others nerves but Clark and Steve are buds.

Have they ever had a crossover before though?

A shame
