As far as the quality goes Chamalet's movies have been absolutely atrocious. He's the easiest A lister to avoid for me now, I know exactly what a film will be like.
    >Dune
Horrible, one of the most visually repugnant films I've seen.
    >Wonka
Looks a match to that. I was interested in seeing it until all of the dreadful promo material
    >Call Me By Your Name
Passable but dull and unevocative, I wouldn't urge anyone not to watch it but certainly won't be recommending.
    >The French Dispatch
Easily Wes' worst to date, and Chamalet's segment by a margin the most exhausting dull of the lot.
    >Don't Look Up
Honestly in the bottom 10 movies I've seen, ranging from cringeworthy to thoroughly irritating for the entire duration, and again a visual atrocity at times.

I've considered seeing Little Women and Bones and All but I'm terrified of his stink being in them

I have no idea what yhe point of this post is, or who you are talking about, but I don't think that an actor having a distinctly bad body of work that I'll entirely avoid going forward is a positive accomplishment. That's normally reserved for a director.

Wonka was good. Very heartfelt interpretation of the 1971 film as a prequel. I was surprised because I thought it'd be slop but has a really good cast and just overall made me feel good.

Not sure if it's better than the original but easily better than the weird Depp one.

exactly the same but smoking it gives you a more intense high that doesn't last as long and makes those with addictive personalities more likely to binge it. For that it's considered worse. Can't imagine Leo smoking crack. He seems like the type that might do a bump or two occasionally.

Isn't most of the damage just down to lack of sleep though.

                Anonymous

Lack of sleep leads to the decline in physical looks and a lot of other important bodily functions that sleep is necessary for. But they also fry their dopamine receptors over time, making them feel super depressed when they're off the drug. The longer they use, the lower their baseline dopamine and serotonin levels become. So if they started out at a baseline of 100, they might be pushed down to a baseline of 50 after a couple of years of hard use and never get back up. So they can never again feel true happiness like they used to and they're forced to use SSRIs just to not be suicidally depressed 24/7

Both come from the same substance, but it's very different both in effect and addiction potential. The crack high is much, much more intense, but even shorter than coke, so users keep re-dosing over and over again to achieve the effects.

Most people count meth, heroin and crack as hard drugs. Coke, alcohol, benzos are medium. And the rest are basically different degrees of soft drugs

That's right. Nobody would ever see him as anything other than Spiderman after that so he didnt get any good roles. One big payday instead of dozens of big paydays for 30+ years like Leo. Short sighted

            Anonymous

Use your brain anon. That's guaranteed big money for 3 blockbusters (even if SM3 sucked) and then 20 years later a fourth. A lot of actors won't ever even have 1 big role. It was obviously the right decision.

Being real here I don't see Tobey having much of a career at all if he didn't do Spiderman. He never seemed to have great charisma and looks a bit goblin-like, though I find him likable and he was perfectly cast as Peter Parker. It was unquestionably the right move to go for the role for any actor even if they would've had a good career because it's an extremely competitive and volatile industry.

His record is public. The guys publishing his works distanced themselves from him because the guy running his website had made private statements to others that he (the website guy) enjoyed watching child porn. James stood by him which even the Atomwaffen guys became annoyed at. Recently in the last couple months James has distanced himself from that website guy and thus the guys selling his books have restarted their relationship with him.

This is all public knowledge. If you're going to make up a lie try and make it more believable. James Mason actually had sex with one of his friends wives, who was 50+ years old, he cheated with her, that's the most dirt on the man in his entire life kek. Atomwaffen bros got annoyed about that. I'd very much like to see the source for that as it strikes me as bullshit. Coke is far more dopaminergic that opiates. Given the phenomenological correlate of dopamine isn't euphoria it's reward and drive to repeat. You get trapped in a very repetitive cycle of wanting more and feeling like you should have more. Coke is without rival in that regard from my experience.

Sure when you're on meth you keep redosing but when you stop i never found any call to get back to it. Whereas with coke i kept having thoughts of how fun and good it would be to do it again for a good few months after.

Ok first one i've found and it shows opiates don't have a substantial dopamingergic effect compared to stimulants.

Cherrypicking a self-admitted OPINION ARTICLE locked behind a paywall is pretty funny

                >The percentage of laboratory animals that show addictive-like behaviors, or of people that become addicted to a drug after repeated exposure, varies as a function of the drug, being higher for drugs like heroin or methamphetamine and lower for drugs like alcohol or cannabis. For example, only between 15 and 20% of rats chronically exposed to cocaine will continue to compulsively prefer cocaine over other rewarding options (52), whereas the percentage of heroin-preferring rats can go as high as 50% under similar experimental conditions

It's not locked behind a paywall you moron, just use pubsci if you don't have any academic access. Also the study quite literally has quantitative biochemical measurements.

Why are you so blatantly disingenuous lmao

Everybody knows that heroin and to a lesser degree alcohol being physically addictive and cocaine being psychologically addictive. Also the rat thing is also for rats that live together with other rats in a nice environment. When they live isolated in a small cage, they get addicted easier, which proves the point... Most people becoming addicts use it as self medication for traumatic experiences, even if they're not fully aware of it.
