Confirmed for not watching it, because you only watch capeshit. Top Gun isn't a typical sequel. The dogfights in the original movie were visually terrible, the purpose of the sequel is to give the same type of story with much better looking and sounding dogfights. It basically replaces the original by how much better it is.
