No, but it’s a good sequel in that it mostly keeps the tone of the original and fulfills the plot of the first. Rocky kinda acts more moronic in 2 which makes the film overall a bit more silly. but it makes sense plotwise because he has brain damage from his first fight.
Carl looks better fighting in 2 while Stallone himself actually sucks ass with the choreography. Apollo is moving fast like an actual boxer while rocky just slowly moves towards him while taking literally like 50 punches over and over with exaggerated movements.
