Cartoons romance

Is there a specific reason why most American cartoons can't create good or just decent romance plots?

Anime and books can't either. Most people suck at writing romance. This is why so many people stick to shipping but you rarely see fanart of actual canon pairings save for a few exceptions.

One of the issues is that romance cannot be written without personal preferences, so if yours are different from those of the writers the romance is already doomed to be shit for you. It's better to just have a bunch of vastly different characters and write good friendships and chemistries with them that fans can imagine to be or lead to romantic relationships if they want.

Only good because Ian Sinclair voices the narrator in the dub.
It's not a good show or character writing otherwise.

Well first of all I said there are some very few exceptions. Secondly it confirms the latter thing I said about preferences, since I realised after episode 1 that this series wasn't for me.

All writers now are cynical cucks, romance is dead and progressive ideology killed it.

99% of cartoons are aimed towards children so the main focus is usually will this (man)child get the courage to ask the girl out. The resolution is either they get the girl or don't but that doesn't leave any room for actual romance plots.

Progs don't understand romance because everything they experience is based on lust and not love.

He's talking about making huge sacrifices for someone else out of love, like donating a kidney to a family member or a spouse.
He's wasting his breath though, since the guy he responded to doesn't even believe in familial love, likely because he was never worthy of it.

The topic of the thread is romantic love, moving goalposts now?

American cartoons are made by and for gays, who don't believe in love.

I think most children's cartoon writers just think if you pair two kids together it's puppy love and super adorable and nostalgic. If anything, trying to sell a romance with two children should be treated as 10 times more difficult, considering you have to sell the idea these children actually love eachother before they've even hit puberty.

Also, most "calarts" writers are influenced by shipping fanfic, not actual romance stories which exist to sell you a romance. They're influenced by media made by and read by people who already want to see two characters paired together.
