I picked up TF2 again a couple months ago and have no idea what everyone is b***hing about. What servers are you playing on? I play on Skial servers and never come across bots.
the casual matchmaking is (was? recent patches may have changed things) full of bots and completely unplayable. community servers are safe, but have the downside of being limited by time of day. Im a late hour person and cant find anything with decent ping past 1 am
the bots are mad. mic spamming, constantly clogging up votekick by votekicking real players, changing their name to mirror real players to attempt to cause real players to get kicked, and they're all auto aim snipers who one shot you the moment you come into view. if they gain majority vote on a server it is impossible to reclaim
