>cast an actor who's supposed to play an actor who's one of the best actors in the world
>the actor they cast to play an actor who's one of the best actors in the world turns out not to be a very good actor
What did they mean by this?
>cast an actor who's supposed to play an actor who's one of the best actors in the world
>the actor they cast to play an actor who's one of the best actors in the world turns out not to be a very good actor
What did they mean by this?
>vinny chase
>great actor
he’s a prettyboy with charisma, he’s a terrible actor
What charisma?
It’s his entire character
He's none of those. He's Queen's Boulevard.
>one of the best actors in the world
Wasn't it a major plot for a season that he wasn't a great actor? Even when Vince asked Ari he wouldn't call him a great actor and said maybe one day he could be or something.
This. He wasn't supposed to be a good actor, but a movie star, even though Adrian Grenier doesn't look or act like that either.
I think in the show he fit the cliche movie star role well. Good looking guy who everyone falls over for. The last handful of seasons of the show it felt like it ran out of material though, outside of the Ari stuff maybe but for sure every other character was used up, and there is only so much with that role you can do. That season he had to spend the entire season acting next to a pornstar was a bit rough when they tried to give him some more depth as she was really bad at acting.
Yes. The point was that moviestars dont need to be good actors, just good looking and charismatic. Women want to frick them and men want to be them and that’s enough to draw in audiences
>What did they mean by this?
Maybe that theory that Entourage is just an elaborate prank on it's cast is true
You either never watched the show or are completely moronic. Entourage was a comedy. It was a satire of Hollywood. All the cast knew exactly what they were doing. Idk how it got some reputation from soiboys that it was serious and that they didn’t understand it was a joke.
I know it's supposed to be a guy's fantasy but they really couldn't write women for shit on that show. Or maybe that was deliberate to insinuate that every woman in LA is a vapid c**t.
This show was complete kino, why can't HBO make anything good nowadays.
The idol was kino that filtered midwits
>Aquaman
>Medellin = Narcos
>Smokejumpers = Only the Brave
>The Great Gatsby
>Ferrari
The dudes who played Turtle and E couldn't act either but it fit their characters.
Turtle is one of the worst character written for a show.
I hated him even more when they made him millionaire for some reason in the sequel.
And he got to frick meadow soprano irl. Not fair!
It's an accurate in a sense that he plays the leach of the entourage - and ever entourage has a leach.
E has been part of Leo Dicaprios real life entourage for like 30 years so he basically just played himself, lmao
Yes, but those two were also actors prior to this show.
They didn't cast random people who can't act, they casted *actors* who were shitty at it.
I'm well aware. Kevin Connolly directed that fricking awful Gotti movie from a few years back. (pic not related, that's the good Gotti movie).
The one with fat John Travolta?
>A song by the artist Pitbull is playing in the background during one of the scenes. Not possible since the movie took place in 1985.
How does a director not catch this? lmao
It's like in Wolf of Wall Street, when Jonah said DiCaprio called the pilot the n word. I'm the 90s, you would say Black person, not n word. I expected more from scorsese
E's actor I think was okay. I don't really know how else that role was meant to be played as it was supposed to be just some guy from NYC kind of working as the lead's manager. He couldn't really go over the top with it when you have Drama and Ari filling those kind of roles. The acting got worse when he became "established" and they stopped writing him doing manager stuff and he just hanged out in an office away from everyone and would just react to what the rest of the cast had going on while on the phone.
>I love the judaic meta theory!!1!!!
gentiles in 2023 are complete fricked beyond repair
It's kind of a shame there isn't a show like this on now with the way Hollywood is. So much of the industry changed now compared to when the show ended, with social media, youtube, streaming, and the crazy amount of capeshit. They could make a whole season out of the Hollywood writers and actors strike going on too.
Be careful what you wish for, brother...
I'd be fine with a new season. The last 2 seasons of the show were so bad that I don't care what they do now.
lol that's all I could think when I saw Josh Hartnett in Operation Fortune
He was good in Oppenheimer (though anybody could have played that part - probably would have been Modine if he was younger).
Tbf, everybody was shit in Op Fortune (except maybe Hugh but he had good control on his overacting)
Drama was the best character.
he was until they flanderized him in the later seasons and movie
YEAH YEAH
That Avion tequila thing in season 6 was apparently a real tequila brand that was created by the friend of the show runner. So it made sense now that they shilled the tequila so much and made sure to say its name every chance they had. The show runner probably had a stake in the company. The only good thing about that storyline was that Alex was really hot.
It's based on Mark and Donnie Wahlbergs and their frens move to Hollywood and who better to play Donnie than Matt Dillon's moron brother?
He only pretends to be moronic. He was actually good in Platoon which was probably his only other real role.
He was also in The Blob
>cracked.com was right
Is that an std on his mouth
Apparentely Drama and the creator of the show got a podcast where they discuss each episode. Anyone seen it? Is it worth checking out?
lmao, why is every loser doing this. Nobody's cared about entourage in 15 years. What next? the blind black guy and the dumb girl receptionist from Becker doing a episode by episode podcast?
The cruelest part is also that his character was far richer than the actor playing the role.
Imagine filming a TV show in a huge mansion, and then having to drive back to your regular house.
