The boat scene in Godzilla Minus 1 reminded of RE boss battles. How hard was it for Hollywood to do something like that for RE? Not that the first 5 RE movies were not enoyable.

I haven't been able to beat the RE4 Remake despite months of effort. It kind of sucks and its Professional difficulty is a chore at best while Normal is piss easy.
But you are out of your mind if you think it's worse than the RE3 Remake, and 2 is better than 4.
3 at least had Carlos and the best boss battles of these crappy remakes, 2 was my biggest gaming disappointment and 4 was so lazy and ugly to look at I couldn't get past the first hour
A superhuman female is not necessarily going to be that much stronger than a strong but not superhuman male. You do realise that there is a genuinely fricking monstrous difference in strength between men and women, yes?
I just assumed that if you were going to go through the effort of turning someone into a superhuman that you would at least make them stronger than a guy in decent shape

Leon and Chris in-universe are basically Captain America-tier combatants. Leon's feats in 4, 6, and the CGI movies have him tanking ridiculous amounts of damage. His back alone has survived more than most Zombie protagonists have been through.
What's even funnier is that in that scene he's recovering from a Virus that was killing him prior to administration of the antidote

Yeah now that you mention it I do remember Leon easily kicking the shit out of zombie hordes with his feet. Is there any explanation for why they the protags are so ridiculously powerful or is it just "action movie physics"?

you could ass-pull that Leon and Jill have residual powers leftover from their respective infections; Leon from Las Plagas, Jill from T-Virus. Chris got his ass beat in Code Veronica and canonically became a roidtroony to fight his super-human nemesis.
Claire and Rebecca haven't really done anything too OP. And Ethan is like 90% mold so he gets a pass.
