As expected.
Chuds loose again.
In all seriousness as some one who b***hed about the witcher and MCU shenanigans the show isnt very woke.
I kept waiting to hate Annette but it never happend.
>Chuds loose again.
lose?
Annette is going to be Richter's love slave.
>when Richter gives away the family whip because he used it way too much for x-rated fun
Richter is going to get a harem ending with Annette, Maria and, once they save her, Tera
>I kept waiting to hate Annette but it never happend
Same, but only because strong black womyn nowadays are usually obnoxiously OP and she's the exact opposite. Apparently top-tier voodoo gods can't even push a piece of metal through a hole
I had a feeling that this was going to end in failure for the heroes, but I wasn't expecting it to fail completely. It was all literally just a setup to show that Erzebeth had the action to back up her talk and that she's going to have to be a problem for them to overcome. Now if she goes the way of Dracula and does the job in S2 is another story.
I think she is cute and doesn't look like a man at all
She had like one bad scene.
Mostly I was annoyed by the pacing, they didn't have enough scenes between her and Richter.
Backstory ep could've been handled in conversations.
Annette was such a nothing character, a lot of the story dedicated to her was pointless and she just came off as obnoxious
she and Maria were the worst characters but I really don't see how you can get attached to anyone in this show in general
You must be fricking kidding. You ever play the PS game?
>I kept waiting to hate Annette but it never happend.
Same, I would go even further and say that castlevania is the one show that does race swapping in a way that I can stomach, because they dont just take an existing character, paint them black and ship it to the public for good goy points, they actually build a whole new character and narrative around them being black and maintain only some stuff from the original to justify them having the same name at all
the only thing left to be called annete is to get pregnant, nothing else really.
If she's using magic, she should be the bad ending annette. Not that netfix gives a frick.
There's jack shit justifying the same name. It's a complete OC, that they gave a completely different backstory to.
She's too cute
What will it take for people to give her a chance?
She would need to stop being an annoying b***h.
She looks more caring and concerning
She needs to be killing vamp bastards better like Isaac
maybe if she cared about others instead of just brushing it off and not saying "well, but he was not a slave, so is not as bad"
>she cared about others
She does though? She had a breakdown over her friend dying, was dead set over rescuing him, was constantly protecting Maria and her mother and even admitted that she was worried for Richter despite being angry with him pussying out
>well, but he was not a slave, so is not as bad
Pretty sure she never said anything like that
>Pretty sure she never said anything like that
thats because when I get to angry I start having alusinations and made up a completly different story in my head
>"well, but he was not a slave, so is not as bad"
>Pretty sure she never said anything like that
When you go into a segway about CAN'T LET MUH PAST DEFINE ME after a guy panics in the face of his mother's killer, it comes across a bit like making it about you or comparing tragedy dick-lengths.
She was called out for that when she summoned those spirits later on.
She didnt talk shit about him having an emotional reaction to Olrox, she talked shit about him abandoning them. Even after that, when he returned she admitted that she was still worried for him
Cast a spell on her so that she turns nto pic-related
Human Fluttershy?
Bad route ending that includes the hatian genocide as the reason she gets corrupted. Trident and ho outfit from the games.
She attempts to destroy Richter's Pelvis and triple team him with vampre succubuses in EROTIC SEXUAL VIOLENCE. And it's very explicit that Richter's opinion doesn't matter here. Locking Maria in a cuckshed is a bonus but not a requirement.
She needs to survive, possibly for the sequel. Possibly preganant..
Her smile? Amazing.
Her hair? Beautiful.
Her lips? Delicate.
Her powers? Mighty.
kind off probably, I will give you that she is not Teela from the Netflix Motu. where she b***hes and is angry from start to finish.
But just looking at her reminds me of modern media pushes to frick stuff up.
and yes will say frick because they love to do the same in the show.
Secondaries having opinions is one of the moments where free speech should not be a thing
I don't understand why so many of them plague Castlevania. Not even just the Netflix-secondaries, but also zoomers that somehow think that Curse and Harmony are good games.
Curse is a good game, and every game should have pet system.
By no metric is Curse a good game other than aesthetics and OST. Chaos Legion destroyed it as a summoner action game 3 years prior. DMC destroys it in action AND somehow platforming + level design. The PS2 vanias are very phoned considering games that came out years before are just better in every aspect. At least LoI tried with platforming a bit. CoD has no excuse for how boring everything is.
Curse has some of the best bosses in the entire franchise (Isaac, Trevor, and St. Germain)
>best bosses in the franchise
>with this shit AI
The Cornell fight from LoS is better than all of those combined
What's with the weird stuttering in the cutscenes, is this an xbox thing or a video capture thing?
not sure, I've only ever played it on a real PS2 - could be an emulation artifact
What's wrong with Harmony?
music and graphics were shit on GBA
t. Revenge Armour
But seriously, I'll defend HoD. It's the weakest of the three GBA games and maybe arguably even the weakest of IGA's mainline games, but it's still an enjoyable time. I still remember unlocking Maxim Mode as a kid and being excited that I could see what the monster that gets crushed looks like - only to be sad that it was dead anyway. Wasn't that a fricked up visual for what's not otherwise even a very violent game?
Also I don't really think many zoomers are playing these games. If you looked to people who are properly into Castlevania, I'd bet the overwhelming majority of them are in their early 30s minimum.
The Corpse Legion was pretty horrifying
>If you looked to people who are properly into Castlevania, I'd bet the overwhelming majority of them are in their early 30s minimum
That tracks, I assume the series is relatively niche. At best on the casual side, you'll have people who played SoTN and maybe Aria because they commonly show up on lists of great Metroidvanias, which they only even know about via Hollow Knight
Or their 40s
Well he said minimum to be fair. Also fricking hell, I know that image is a shop, but James is looking pretty rough these days.
Probably should just shave it off, the top and front at least. Maybe keep the sides and the back.
JUST
rent free
>I kept waiting to hate Annette
She's pretty cool, the only scene where I didn't like her is the one where she mocks Richter's PTSD like a Jordan Peterson fangirl.
My fav character is the opera singer turned monster and this show pacing is terrible.
Overall I'm happy that Nocturne 2 is coming because of Alucard kino.
Honestly, while it was brutal that she mocked Richter, it made sense that she would struggle to empathise with him.
Her response to adversity was rage and that’s what helped her get to where she is, whereas Richter tried this and was still powerless to save his mum.
This. I do think she was wrong but it made sense and she didnt even do anything damaging over that, she just called him a b***h when he wasnt even around and stormed off. I dont get why people here shit on her so much over the small moments where she gets angry when Maria is WAY more unstable
>I kept waiting to hate annette but it never happened
>"You never felt REAL suffering"
Are you deaf, stupid, or just a fricking lefty schizo?
That's the least b***hy a love interest Cinemaphile character has been in years.
That anon is clearly extremely b***hy, he probably just feels overly territorial.
Yeah, but compared to the likes of Amber and Teela? Quite quaint.
Eugh
>more trash animation
why is korean animation so bad? I thought they were a reasonably rich country
are all korean animators in a Parasite-style situation?
>why is korean animation so bad?
The quality of Korean animation is directly proportional to how much you pay them. If you cheap out on your budget, you're going to get cheap animation.
I thought nocturne had a budget of 30 million
nepotism is expensive.
And do you think they spent that 30 mil on the animation or diversity training?
WTF
>What if I slow the frames down to try and make it look bad yeah!
Pathetic
Literally the PC engine pixelated cutscenes look better.
Nope, I'm glad Castlevania has been upgraded and you've been thrown away
Yeah, most fights turned into stuttery slideshows. The first fight Orlox and mam Belmont with the dynamic camera work was actually pretty impressive in terms of animation, though. Shame it was the only one.
You know nothing about animation you dumb mongrel moron
wwere is the one of the fight he was talking about?
>we want the 2 frames per second crowd
The sad part is everything is still very well drawn, it's just the way it's animated. First two seasons still had the best animation quality. The rest of the series took a nosedive.
it's because most of Season 1 and 2's animation was outsourced
they got guys like Spencer Wan to do the action stuff
it's funny how a studio that makes action shows can't even do that without help
Animated on 2s, what no that shit is animated on 3s or 4s(which is 1 drawing every 3-4 frames and in animation there is only 24 frames per second). That is why it looks so choppy. this could have been alleviated by getting an inbetweener for this animator.
That is what happens when you hire you buddy from college and not the best your budget can hire.
You know, I had a great time playing Rondo of Blood as a teenager but I really did think at the time "this would be better if it was set during the French Revolution and was written by a Englishman".
Now, the question is, will they touch on the one time Castlevania did actually take something from the French Revolution and use Mothra Antoinette?
>Mothra Antoinette
You guys laugh but that boss fight scared the shit out of me as a kid
Bloodlines is fricking wild
For me, it's the bloody Latona Fountain spawning red skeletons.
Is happening bros
Alucard you sick frick she's only 16
Uoooh
>muh gay sex
>muh raceswapping
>muh religion
Every Castlevania thread until we fricking die.
That's right. And more ideas for shitty episodes coming our way. Have no fear, we've got stories years like Annette becomes a robot
Just watched Nocturne, it was good fun. I wish Richter getting his magic required more effort on his part though instead of just getting lucky and going super saiyan right when he needed it
he's still shit at it though
season 2 will be the Juste-Richter training montage to get his 2nd power up
and Juste will probably die (wearing his red outfit) in Richter's arms and then Richter will get his 3rd power up
oh and I'm sure morning star will come up at some point, Trevor dropped it in the fight with Death so it might be in some weird dimension, I forget where exactly he fights death in season 4.
He's just fighting Death on a castle that got warped around but is in the real world, he got sucked in the infinite corridor whatever thing of Saint Germain to stay alive though
Which means Alucard's probably gonna hand it to him "when the time is right".
>I wish Richter getting his magic required more effort on his part though instead of just getting lucky and going super saiyan right when he needed it
This is westerners trying to do their impression of anime and not doing it very well, it's to be expected.
Remember how Alucard and Sypha just frick off while Trevor fights death in the previous series? ANY anime worth its salt would show them failing to help Trevor, getting wrecked by Death, or powerlessly screaming because they can't reach him while he fights to add the drama.
But no just have them run away because they're too far lol
Sage
god this series is boring
the only people who like this are losers who aren't mature enough to like regular TV, are too normie to appreciate non-American or non-Japanese animation, and think anime is "too weird" for them
>in short, the people who try to insist ATLA and RWBY are anime
I don't even dislike Netflixvania, but I see people in these threads saying that "people wouldn't care about a faithful adaption of the series" and that "tonally schizo Japshit would put off audiences", but I really disagree. People LOVED those games and the world, goofy as it was, I don't see why a series that stuck to those principles couldn't be a hit if it was done well.
>mature enough to like regular TV
I chuckled at this. Good one.
I just rewatched the last two episode of season 4 and I forgot how good we had it. Alucard getting raped aside (nothing the fujos weren't writing about for decades anyways), we got two great heterosexual couples with happy endings. And Isaac, while completely different from CoD, was unfathomably based and probably the best ginger swap ever done. vampire politics was a time waster overall though, and I'm slightly saddened by Hector's treatment. But in retrospect he kind of deserves it for starring in the worst 3D castlevania ever made.
all this to say, Nocturne is speed-running at losing whatever goodwill the first series had built up.
>(nothing the fujos weren't writing about for decades anyways)
I think the difference was that Fujos had a "look, don't touch" relationship with gay shit -- they want bait as fuel to make their doujins and fanfics to flick the bean, but make it actually canon and they'll riot.
>Make it canon and with a wrong ship, and they'll riot
ftfy. Doesn't help the guy he fricked was a literal who OC.
>the worst 3D castlevania
I thought that was 64, not Curse of Darkness.
>But in retrospect he kind of deserves it for starring in the worst 3D castlevania ever made.
Frick off, CoD was fun.
as someone that literally pre-ordered CoD and played it day 1 and was obsessed with it - it is the worst, by far
64 games actually had platforming so no
I really didnt care for isaac weird "Im actually redeeming them" plot line, particularly because he doesnt seem to comprehend why people would not trust him bringing a pack of demons into their town, or how he directs them to kill anyone left alive after he killed the wizard controlling legion.
I'm going to be brutally honest: I just like that he tore down Carmilla's plans and out-oppresion-olympicsed her. Beyond that, his character is better than CoD/manga Isaac so it's a net win.
>Isaac
Seriously, why do people like this character so much? He sucked. His backstory made no sense, his motivation and behaviour made no sense and the conversations he had on season 3 were boring and surface level. The only good thing about his storyline was Granfaloon which was good on it's own, no thanks to Isaac, and just like the entire season 3 it was a completely unrelated scene, even more disconnected because it literally came in the last minute of the season to give him something to do
>Seriously, why do people like this character so much?
they don't want to look racist, simple as
if he looked like the ginger twinkus he was in the games people would shit on him and call him a hypocrite and a coward
I had frickall emotional investment in any of the Castlevania story or characters post S2, and it was satisfying to watch some autist groid march himself across the continent just to ruin someone else's schemes
People liked his story because he progressed as a character and his change from wanting to destroy the world to wanting to build it up wasn't all of the sudden and contrived and it built up from small moments like the merchant giving him the mirror and the ship captains conversation. His progression to letting go of whats happened to him in the past made him the perfect antithesis to Carmilla. The fact you think Granfaloon was unrelated to isaac speaks volumes on your ability to actually understand whats happening in a story.
I'm more pissed that Hector didn't get that. Why the frick did they make that switch?
nta but at the end of Season 3 when he's on his way to Carmilla's place, he's still okay with murdering people who so much as slight him (the "You're all so fricking rude" scene) and in Season 4 his change of heart is sudden because he doesn't have any real organic progression to that viewpoint outside of that conversation he has with Fly Eyes
And even then that scene fricking sucked. It comes off as a very hackneyed attempt at giving the villains nuance because up until that point Dracula was the only villain with any real depth
but he was long dead so they needed to act like even the demons and vampires who up until this point were indiscriminately murdering people are just misunderstood and are capable of being good.
And then something something Isaac quotes the Quran (and apparently according to irl muslims he got it wrong which is very haram) and he flees, sorry I mean, "secludes himself" in that reconstructed village the demons rebuilt
It's just very convenient writing that does come out of nowhere. So what if he had one (1) scene with Granfaloon that says otherwise? He still sucked
tl;dr Isaac was a dogshit character like everyone else
These people don't care about execution. This is why Season 2 had a lot of characters spelling out how you should feel. Several different characters saying "Dracula wants to die because his wife is dead.".
Optimistically, you could attribute Issac's change in character between S3 and S4 to the time he spent reflecting and waiting for the big mirror to b e ready
But it really just feels like some kind of abrupt writing change driven by feedback or something since Hector and Lenore's characterizations are rewritten to be more positive too
Brah, his change of heart occurred, because he saw what became of the sorcerer king.
He saw a guy who got enthralled by power and became an insane dictator at the expense of all those people and it sat poorly with Isaac. It was kind of like ‘this could very well have been the outcome of Dracula’s plan, and idk if I care for it.’
I think that was the catalysing moment for him and made him reconsider that he had a right to decide the fate of others and also contributed to his desire to dethrone carmilla.
Well then, Isaac must be really fricking stupid to not have realised that after Dracula had slaughtered innocent townsfolk only for him to do the same while parading his demon army around the land. It took a nameless wizard literally throwing corpses at him to realise that? Really?
The difference between these is that Isaac was largely removed from a lot of the violence perpetuated by Dracula and the wizard example is what happens when dictatorships come to fruition.
Also Dracula is charming and Isaac couldn’t exactly see the forest for the trees.
Final point is that Isaac hated people and felt vindicated in Dracula’s plan. When he came upon the wizard he felt differently, because he had had positive encounters with people and because Dracula saved his life (and remarked Isaac had a soul and maybe that was worth more than Dracula’s plans) which demonstrated to him that maybe humanity was worth saving after all.
Basically Isaac’s friendship made Dracula reevaluated his hatred of people and his choice to save Isaac kicked off Isaac eventually coming to the same realisation that maybe people aren’t all bad.
>his choice to save Isaac kicked off Isaac eventually coming to the same realisation that maybe people aren’t all bad
nta but that still doesn't excuse Isaac slaughtering a whole village because he was "rude" to him and this was after he would have had his """realization"""
he's not some moronic child that doesn't know any better, he's a grown adult that constantly makes speeches justifying his viewpoint, that talk with the captain was absolutely full of that
If anything his "realization" upon seeing Granfaloon feels even more hackneyed because he hasn't said or done a single thing up to that point that indicates he's having second thoughts if his first reaction to "rude" villagers is to kill them
>The fact you think Granfaloon was unrelated to isaac speaks volumes on your ability to actually understand whats happening in a story.
Yeah? Please enlighten me then, it's been years since I've watched it and at the point of the season I'm pretty sure I had my eyes rolled into the back of my skull to pay too much attention
All they had to do to make Isaac's character complete was have him become Death. That was literally it.
Destroyer of worlds?
>and I'm slightly saddened by Hector's treatment.
Yeah the real crime about Hector is that it didn't happen to me amirite
But he lost his dom mommie waifu
>the poc characters are mostly demons/vampires
heh
I'm also now reminded that every DMC game except 5 (and arguably still 5) has more platforming than CoD. And way better level designs
Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness are both mediocre DMC clones that really are only liked because of the music and art direction. I mean they're far from the worst action games of the period, but at their core they're not much better than shit like Chaos Legion and that game with Gackt - they're not even in the same galaxy as the top action games of the time like DMC3 and Ninja Gaiden Black.
>Chaos Legion
Goddamn that takes me back.
>FLY SO HIGH, FLY SO HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH
If we're talking forgotten mediocre PS2 action games, does anyone else remember this? It was a batshit anime retelling of the Wizard of Oz. Crap game, but Yamane did the soundtrack and it rips!
?si=o3OcDtuSDY011TR7
I was in high school when Chaos Legion dropped but I thought it was the coolest shit ever just based off of watching public access television and the clips they showed of the game. I wonder if I'd be able to play it today, though I know it wasn't the best game out there. I'll always remember the theme song, though.
I know if I had a gun to my head I'd take playing that over Drakengard.
I think its worth at least one playthrough. A bit repetitive tbh.
Drakengard or Chaos Legion? Because it's definitely Drak. Years later I realized I managed to get through it while fighting for the multiple endings because I had my radio.
Chaos Legion at least had that extra mode with Aria? Without looking it up I feel like her name was Aria. But gameplay with her was trash and I never finished it after.
Legion, it's a bit grindy and Sieg only has access to one weapon and a few combo strings, not as much mixup potential as DMC.
Oh if we're comparing Chaos Legion to DMC then yeah of course, but the star attraction was always in the various summons you could do with Seig and not necessarily fighting with him, but even then if I recall correctly there wasn't much you could do beyond positioning some of the summons? It's been years since I've played and I don't recall having to grind as much for Chaos Legion as I did Drakengard. I'm also slowly coming to the realization of recalling that I may have used a gameshark as well so that also might have had something to do with my experience, too.
chaos legion was basically curse with a worse script (not that it matters) and WAY, WAY better combat for the same idea (summoner knight dude). On level design/corridor sim its a wash so overall Chaos Legion is a better game, and it came out like 3 years earlier or so. AND had a PC version. Based Capcom completely murdering Konami at making 3D castlevania-ish games.
bro I loved this shit it was so out there
I wish we had more WTF games like this these days
>we knew this was happening but they announced this so early to damage control how the show is doing horrible in viewership and the shittalking actually gained traction and support
>can only show unfinished storyboards
>"in production" means it'll be another 2 years until it's actually out
lmfao they're desperate to win people back so quickly, the twitter post for it reeks of "Please watch it!" cope
They should've waited instead of doing this, it just comes off as damage control to recoup their losses and the fact this shit cost them 30 million dollarydoos so far
This just tells me this shit is truly dead after this next season comes out, no one really gives a frick about this show outside of twitter weirdos and it'll go the same path Ghostubsters and TLJ did
>no Dracula
Nobody actually cares about the show. Not even the posers. Hatewatching isn't an actual thing. No show got saved by people angrily watching it.
He is what people who read TV Tropes thinks is a good character.
Dracula will show up in the season 2 cliffhanger to save Alucard like pic rel
Apologize
oh boy, better bring demons to save me from this evil doers, god will thank me
Why not just make the night creatures but employ them primarily for self-defense instead of entering into a skewed pact with vampires?
NTA but the writing is kind of fricked in that way but he feels like he's doing the right thing, considering that he makes night creatures from the corpses they bring him. Chances are he joined with the vampires and asked them to frick up the revolutionaries so he could make night creatures from their corpses. They agreed as long as he pledged to use said night creatures for them when the time came to do so.
I almost forgot about the need for corpses but it's the Reign of Terror, surely they can't be too hard to get ahold of?
Unless by some twisted morality, the priest only wanted the corpses of revolutionaries
More than likely the latter. Remember that to him, the revolutionaries are actively fighting against God so they're already fricked in the lord's eyes. He said it himself: "God moves through me." Anything he turns into night creatures are bound to servitude as a demon of hell which is probably not what he wants for just any old joe. But then again this is also me speaking for the writers and giving them too much credit, most likely.
At least the demons believe in god.
I do like they made him ambiguous morally compared to outright dick priests in the early seasons. Does he love his daughter and girlfriend? Sure. But he's also chicken shit scared of dying or admitting his wrongs. So he reasons letting them suffer should also mean they get a free pass to heaven or whatever shit he tells himself.
>ambiguous morally
He's basically an outright dick priest save for his love of his family. Shit, he's arguably worse due to employing the powers of hell and consorting with vampires
If there was any chance of redemption, it was lost when he tried to kill Maria
Compared to the priest getting killed for being pedos and the money laundering, he's a "saint". At worst he's totally a race traitor simp.
>ambiguous morally
how the frick is this moron priest a devil forgemaster anyways
Why not? Who's knows more about the work of the devil then the people who practiced and archived the texts of the Christian faith, hell and all.
usually cool occult-adjacent shit is treated as apocryphal though like the nag hammadi texts, enoch, etc
Dude had sex with a witch woman nomad, he's definitely someone who goes off book, especially if he's desperate
The machine from hell is like Devil Forgemastery for Dummies and all it takes is any moron with the aptitude to pull a lever or something
Rating the Seasons
S2>S4>Nocturne S1> S1> S3
Not too bad but 3 really was frick all and Alucard getting butt betrayed was a jumping the shark cherry on top
based S4 appreciator
the season where they remembered the series is supposed to be about Trevor (and Belmonts in general) and finally gave him a few wins
I did really like St. Germain and the infinite corridor.
Usa another OP pic, this is getting old.
better than the generic netflix advertising press-kit material for the show
honestly I think the OP helps drive away marketers
>honestly I think the OP helps drive away marketers
What?
the shills that transparently try to hype/defend the show since day 1 with press-kit media? like that other OP that starts threads with official posters with closeups of Richter instead of what the show is actually about (boring kween girlbosses)? they probably cower under their desks and reach out to Netflix's internal psych counseling division when they see
being blatantly disrespectful to their kween
and they fricking deserve it
You sound like a schizo dude. It seems more likely that someone just googled "castlevania nocturne" and saved the first image to use which is the posters
And why would they be scared of a character death scene they chose to make in their own show?
then I guess we've got no problems with OP's pic as the face of nocturne threads here - glad that's settled
netflix is so shameless
this shit is the its cut the season in half tier they always do
This shit sucks the animation is wonky and the designs are terrible for a main cast.
In s1-4 atleast trevor was fun wtf is this richter twink?
And whats up with the audio it sounds terrible? Or is it just my torrent, also this black woman is just annoying hope she leaves soon shes not a good character at all.
Actually all of the main characters lack a personality and it feels like we were just dropped right half way into a story or am I missing something.
Let's go, and you guys were worried.
see
The music in this show sucks ass. The staff want you to know what big fans of the games they supposedly are, so why don't they get Michuru Yamane involved? She does television work in Japan and given she works on a lot of indie games, it's not like she demands a king's ransom. It'd improve one of the show's weakest areas and would be a worthwhile boon to try bring over grumpy older fans of the source material.
Japs don't care enough about the show did give it much thought
Also whoever at Netflix and Powerhouse don't want to spend the money anyway
>put Carmilla in but don't actually make her a lesbian or give her Laura
>but instead make a pair of OC lezzo vampires who aren't even important to the story
???
I can see that
Mesoamerican history nerd here, does Olrox have anything meaningfully interesting going on with his Mesoamerican theming or is it just "he turns into a big snake"
Like does Aztec history play a role in his backstory or does he have archeological pieces hanging out in his living quarters or anything?
no one cares latinx you racists lost
>Latino/x/whatever
>Prehispanic history and archeology
You need to think about what words mean, anon. Also, i said I was a history nerd, not somebody clamoring for #representation
If people want that, that's their pergoative, but I just want to know if I can autistically infodump about it and break down the historical influences, or if it's too shallow to bother
In the games he is the vampire from Nosferatu count orlock.
Nothing meaningful, him being Aztec is only an excuse to make him dark-skinned and have him turn into a snake.
If they didn't call him aztec, he would look like just a random native-american dude
A shame.
Obligatory reminder to watch Onyx Equinox if people want Mesoamerican stuff handled well in an animated format
That show is terrible and you should feel terrible for recommending it. It was also canceled after one season and resolved nothing. A literal waste of time.
Those are some pretty cute young girls.
Watch Rokka no Yuusha
And may the Goddess of Fate choose well the 6 sacred heroes
I loved it. Shame that it never got a second season. I swear to god, one of the girls looked like anime Meg from Family Guy.
Yes the Saint of Blood heh, she's even treated like meg
Rolonia, I think.
To be fair Olrox hasnt done much this season, we will absolutely get a flashback for him and in turn get more mesoamerican stuff
Hopefully his background will show his lover getting killed by Julia so we can see her in action again.
gay
Black person
vampire
>Mesoamerican history nerd here,
then you should check out that new isekai historical anime that just came out
Which?
bumping, i'm curious what you were talking about
I don't think it was terrible, even disregarding the Mesoamerican stuff. Clearly held back by a limited budget and other production issues, yeah, but i'd say on it's own merits it's still a 7/10, C+ or B-.
And then the Mesoamerican elements are more often then not exceptionally well done. Not just visually authentic, but even thematically used in ways that ties into their actual historic symbolism, to the point where Izel's character arc mirrors themes in Aztec/Nahuatl poetry and stuff like that.
I've wanted to watch Rokka no Yuusha but I got spoiled on the blond hair girl being the last warrior or whatever and never ended up watching it. Apparently the Mesoamerican stuff only lasts the first few episodes too, but what I've seen of those elements seems decently done, clothing aside.
That's not the spoiler at all so you aren't spoiled
You sure? the way I heard it presented was that it was like the big twist of the whole series of the identity of the last brave
I'm sure. The twist is who the traitor is. The identity of all the braves is more convoluted and not fully addressed in the anime.
Not as of yet.
He discusses how he watched his people get merc’d by the Spanish and is a victim of colonial dispossession, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we get more of his backstory in coming seasons.
I would be suprised if they even mention how the Aztecs were an empire.
Extra points if they mix all the human sacrifice with feeding him and all the Aztec vampires around.
Making him Aztec was just an excuse to shove more black people in the show. He is a boss that has his first phase as a pale white nosferatu in a suit of armor and phase 2 is he turns into a big lizard not an Aztec flying serpent.
>Aztec
>black
How am I supposed to take critics for the show seriously when thats their fricking level
>Belmonts get access to speaker magic because Sypha joined the family
>Belmonts will gain access to African Deity magic when Anette joins the family
Does this count as Eugenics? Their bloodline grows stronger through selective breeding?
In-universe Juste is meant to be a particularly powerful magic user, which is why he uses spellbooks in HoD
Yeah that seems to be what the writers are going for. It is accurate to the games, in that the Belmonts are getting more powerful with each new generation. However the games implied it was mostly because of their increasingly advanced training regiments and not selective breeding. Julius came after the Belmonts have done nothing but train for 200 years.
those west african genetics are great for athletic performance and muscle building too, especially due to lower myostatin
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9690375/
it means julius will die of a heart attack though
Reminds me of that Naruto meme.
When Julius shows up in the adaptation, he'll have speaker magic, voodoo, summons, and (inexplicably) the power to climb walls
https://twitter.com/kloysius/status/1710343246105190479
the fricker who ruined Olrox
His voice carries him.
You mean upgraded Olrox
The purple nosferatu is superior
That is the purple Nosferatu, you can actually see him instead of being a blur.
There was a Castlevania novel by the writer of Baccano, Durarara and Fate/strange Fake that gave Olrox some interesting characterisation.
It's pretty funny how the knockoff Dracula pisses off Death by trying to claim Dracula's property.
Not looking like Max Schreck = automatically a downgrade
I honestly quite liked him.
I’ve not played any of the games though, so that probably colours my view somewhat.
Dude was powerful, complex and I like the voice actor.
This really makes me worried they are just gonna side line Richter straight away. In an already busy cast Alucard is gonna get a load of screen time cause he's the favourite. Doesn't really seem like they'll take anything from Rondo, so its pretty up in the air in Richter will have his hero moment. I'd say they just jump to him feeling worthless so getting possessed but that might even get skipped.
Pumping and dumping Maria Renard!
That is not Maria, that is just a walking hopeless c**t.
Damn, I forgot how STACKED Rondo of Blood Maria was.
Why didn't they keep her stacked in sotn?
That was a crime.
What would she do if I dumped her for OG Maria?
She's 12.
They aged her up to 16 in Nocturne so she can swear and be paired with Alucard. But I'll humour you. Out of 10
This was uncomfortable enough when Buffy did it, I don't think it'd fly today.
Speaking of Buffy, didn't she frick a Japanese chick in the comics?
I don't know, and this is a less natural segue than you seem to think it is
Not him, but I think her name was Satsu. I just googled it.
If there's anything Netflixvania excels at, it's uncomfortable.
Out of 10!
Imagine getting Maria to fall in love with you then choosing to go to sleep to end your cursed bloodline.
Game Alucard: The blood in my veins is cursed-
Netflix Maria: You bloody wanker, get that knob in me minge!
How would the original game canon characters react to their Netflix counterparts?
Game Hector would no way gay Lenore and she'd get even wetter for him.
Game Maria would talk SO much smack, to EVERYONE, and be a proper frenemy to netflix maria.
Game Annette would fly off and EROTIC VIOLENCE Netflix Richter and not bother talking to netflix annette at fricking all.
Game Richter would go instantly into a training montage with Netflix richter, teaching him how to flying uppercut his problems, and the importance of not letting marie antionette or medusa heads knock you off balance.
Game alucard would have a deep discussion with netflix alucard consisting of lots of elipses, about the importance of refusing THOTS in all forms.
What about Game hector and Netflix issac?
Gotta start somewhere bro.
Do I have a bat soul to fly away with?
>Do I have a bat soul to fly away with?
Yes, but she'll chase you.
Then it's a chase sequence, vertical castle of cagliriosto style in a fricking clock tower in proper game castlevania tradition.
Imagine how angry and horny she'd be after.
Ironically enough, Richter did indeed use uppercut in the climax against that one armed moth b***h. I just found it strange that it was angled in a way like they felt like they were being too obvious with it or something.
I liked it! Of course I've never played a Castlevania game, but have a cursory knowledge of what it's about. Vampires and vampire hunters with whips. So I'm the target audience, yay!
Animation was definitely wonky at times, like they really should not have had so many profile shots of people talking. Their eyes and mouths looked weird. The painted backgrounds were top notch and the Night Creature designs were fabulous. Why did Erszebet transform into that lion thing though?
>Of course I've never played a Castlevania game
Netflixvania target audience
The adult Netflixvania audience probably grew up on Twilight.
>it's good if you don't know anything about the series
you don't say
>I liked it! Of course I've never played a Castlevania game, but have a cursory knowledge of what it's about. Vampires and vampire hunters with whips. So I'm the target audience, yay!
This reads like bait.
I wouldn't be surprised if showrunners or shills are here trying to gain favor
Like how Cinemaphile has a relationship one guy over at Studio Trigger?
>gain favor
This show doesn't sound or resembles Castlevania in any form its just an OC setting with the Castlevania name on it, the director and writers didn't even try to hide it their hate for the games in this season.
I envy that skull, so close to Maria's big bazongas.
>Why did Erszebet transform into that lion thing though?
Turns out she wasn't full of shit and the egyptian gods are real.
How that is reconciled with the simultaneous existence of voodoo gods and the Abrahamic one is another story entirely
Lords of Shadow actually had an explanation for that, Old Gods like Pan swore fealty to the Christian God.
>How that is reconciled with the simultaneous existence of voodoo gods and the Abrahamic one
Based on what Annette said my guess is that all gods are real in some way and that they made the ethnicities that worship them(Aztecs were made by the aztec gods, Egyptians were made by the egyptian gods and so on)
That "we are all descended from gods" was weird. Dunno if she was referring to just blacks as some sort of kangz cope, or humanity as a whole
The latter would imply all hereditary supernatural powers come from having godly lineage
>Dunno if she was referring to just blacks
That would be racist as frick and wouldnt make sense since she was talking to Richter and Maria. I belive she meant all of mankind
>The latter would imply all hereditary supernatural powers come from having godly lineage
And I would be fine with that. They will probably explain all that next season, given how the main antagonist is a "god"
>show makes me want to try the game it's based on
>scrub out on Dracula X Chronicles, even on Maria mode
Classicvanias, not even once
Man, I've had DXC since 2007 and I still haven't finished it, I'm on the final boss, too. I finished Bloodlines, though.
you're missing out anon, Classicvanias are kino
Use state machines for your first run.
These fricking milf jugs
Will Erzsebet put her in sexy outfits?
Gonna be so much skin showing.
I'm gonna love it.
At least post the original Tera.
At least post the original Tera.
Maria Renard has fallen in love with you and is forcing you to marry her. How do you escape?
Hide in her vegana.
Tell her that the blood in my veins is cursed and it's best for the world if I disappear, now and forever.
>wanker
That is not Maria, this is Maria.
?t=48
Rondo of blood CD is not on the collection right? just Dracula X?
I know, I'd marry game Maria and pump and dump Netflix Maria.
What game was that creatura in?
Bloodlines, and she was uglier.
Bloodlines happens in the late 1800, this show doesn't make any sense chronologically.
Bloodlines takes place in the early 1900s and she just has the same name as the character. Netflixvania's a different continuity that gives frickall about the original.
Bloodlines manual but she never appeared in the game. Also she wasn't black nor a vampire.
I still remember when Lisa was an atheist in Netflixvania only to go to Hell. She must've felt so stupid when she found out God and Satan existed.
Weird that Dracula never told her that
Especially since she was screaming about how Satan wasn't real when the church guys captured her.
>Richter.. It's me, your ancestor..
>You must frick Anette Richter..
>Think of the advantages to the Belmont bloodline Richter!
>Imagine how well our descendants could hunt vampires, with skin as dark as the shadows!
>Do it.. For the Belmont bloodline..
>Julius is now Jamal Belmont.
I prefer Jules
soma imma beat yo honky ass
There was a Castlevania thread on Cinemaphile before where people were posting about Alucard going on Chris Redfield on Soma and demanding that he breed with Mina. Good times.
>SOMA, YOU MUST PRESERVE THE TEPES BLOODLINE
>But you already did that with your own son? And we don't even share the same blood now!
>what about you and Yoko? You two could hook up.
I'm hoping neither Soma's nor Simon's games get adapted. Especially by any western studios.
Simon's safe, as for Soma, they expressed interest in adapting him.
I'd rather have a more faithful adaptation by a jap studio with the catch being the artstyle is based on Dawn of Sorrow than the buffalo diarrhea shit we will get if it ever happens.
That's something I'd love to be honest, an Aria of Sorrow anime by a jap studio would honestly be so cool.
Honestly the DOS art style isn't that bad. Sure it's a bit generic but nothing like the character portraits for POR.
I think it would look better in animation, the OP was pretty decent and I would kill to see it in HD. What studio would you want to do a Soma anime, though?
IDK, studio trigger or maybe
Could I use out-of-bounds tricks to warp to a completely different room in Dracula's castle?
I'd like Ufotable or Bones.
>Could I use out-of-bounds tricks to warp to a completely different room in Dracula's castle?
If it's the one from SotN, it'll be like a funny Benny Hill chase sequence with random locations.
I was thinking of Aria of Sorrow. Would turn into an SA-X situation of hiding, running, and warping away from that flat b***h.
But Bathory's Hungarian, how did she get an Egyptian god's power? Is this a Diego Brando situation where she got someone else's godly power?
That would be hilarious.
>But Bathory's Hungarian, how did she get an Egyptian god's power
Iirc they said she drank the blood of the goddess, so maybe there was someone like Annette but egyptian and she drank their blood, or Sekhmet is actually a demon and its using Bathory as its avatar, since one of the vampires tell the priest that some demons used to be gods and I hope there is a pay off for that line
>since one of the vampires tell the priest that some demons used to be gods
we SMT now
Imagine Maria's frustration.
>Mix with a witch to give the belmonts ice and fire powers
>Mix with a demig god to give them eatth powers
Belmonts are playing some eugenics game
>There's jack shit justifying the same name.
Romance with Richter
>with skin as dark as the shadows!
Fricking kek
To be fair.... control over metal and earth is worth it. They already have ice, fire and lightning.
>with skin as dark as the shadows!
Your descendants will be white again anyway after a few generations.
And nippons.
>Have you seen that sweet chocolate? I know you want her after how hard you got fighting Drolta...
I would genuinely welcome a Castlevania done in the style of The Boondocks or Black Dynamite.
The Christopher Belmont comic should've been a warning to you all what western Castlevania would be.
Christopher Belmont comic just seemed like a janky edgy comic of its time. Its not good, but it could be worse
I agree. At least it didn't push shitty political agenda.
Or Paul WS Anderson's aborted movie with Milia as an OC Belmont. That leaked script was terrible - probably just as well it didn't get made since it was just a comical ripoff of Coppola's Dracula anyway.
Another case of nepotism
There was a leaked script?
Just read it. A short comic with only 4 chapters short and story is very cliche. "save girlfriend from dracula" but with some more edge.
Nothing too offensive except Illyana. What a useless character she is. Good thing this comic isn't canon or else she would have tainted the Belmont bloodline.
Anyone who believed there would not be one is a freaking moron.
Looks like it was well into production even before it was announced.
How would OG Hector deal with Lenore?
he can't platform or handle anything more complicated than boring copy-pasted hallways so he wouldn't even get to her
He wouldn't have even gotten into that situation to begin with. Carmilla would be dead after their second convo.
Such amazing vanilla and chocolate flavored vampires in this show
Orlox MUST die.
To steal such a fine woman and amazing breeding vessel from us...what a waste.
sex with Julia Belmont lads..
If Orlox weren't gay, I'm sure he would pull down Julia's pants and panties and insert his penis into her vegana.
Ideally, what should vampires be visually? Handsome middle-aged guys like Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee? Fricked up monsters like Count Orlok and Kurt Barlowe? The former covering the latter like Jerry Dandridge?
>Show great
>Low IQ racists upset and raging
Frick yeah
why is great?
because they say frick and gay sex?
Hey, you said it, not me.
they wont admit it but thats basically what they like about it
what racists?
THIS
Castlevania going strong
#NotMyRichter
It’s kind of wild how there would be significantly less people being racist online if these diversity inserts weren’t so ham fisted. I don’t remember anywhere near this much open racism online back in the early 2000s.
Tera coming to drink her daughter.
Her blood right?
yeah
but she's having her period
reminder that thing is supposed to be a full cross but it got censored cause of israeli americans
It's could also be the Greek Cross. But yeah the censorship on SCIV was mostly bullshit.
>Tera coming to drinking her daughter
I guess Alucard and Maria are going to bond/frick over both having evil vampire parents who are good deep down.
Does the vampire transformation also turn people into bawds, or was she that way the whole time deep down?
She had sex with a man of God...you know the answer
According to Game Maria, is doesn't matter what excuses you make. You're still a naughty person.
It was a mistake to give sypha flying powers. They should have kept her groundborne. My slight change should have had alucard flying up with bat soul, and having his fricking WINGS ripped off by flying sickles, and he falls to the ground, and then sypha needs to use her magic to keep him from dying on the spot with shredded arms in human form. Loads of players completely fricking gave up vs death. He should be a severe threat.
They also should have had a writer older than 12, as it feels completely wrong to have Death drop fbombs like that.
Stick to the games. Multi stage bosses. Human looking, Human + ala Resident Evil giant mommy/monsterous human/nosferatu, and then completely batshit third forms, possibly with hammer monsters or geiger, or estosteric christgay imagery.
Possibly skip a phase or two for jobbers or if your budget sucks.
LOL. You think IGA, or KCET give a frick?
it's too bad dumbfrick activists have scared off the Japanese from doing too much mesoamerican shit.
According to the pachinko games? EVERY FRICKING FLUID. NO EXCEPTIONS.
>They also should have had a writer older than 12, as it feels completely wrong to have Death drop fbombs like that.
It's much too late to spend any energy complaining on that (it doesn't make it good or whatever), but I'm engaging with the show on its own terms, and it wants to be a western anime and they want their f-bombs. Okay.
This is still pretty bad form no matter what, and it just shows they're trying to do it but they don't really know how to do it yet.
What happened in the Pachinko games?
Castlevania fans just laughed at EROTIC VIOLENCE being used as a tagline since the games themselves had barely any sexual elements at all aside from some occasional monsters boobies on a succubus or medusa
Pachinko machines famously ban blood more often than not so Konami went all in on giving every last female big bouncing boobs
SOTN Maria not included of course
Not a lot of violence in erotic violence, huh?
Vid related. It's got Annette, Richter, Maria, Victoria Florescu who is an OC to the slot machines, death dracula and Annette.
Much of the vid assets are from canceled or incompleted castlevania games.
ANNETTE WANTS MORE FUN.
Erotic violence is a long standing meme in on the game side of the community because of it.
She's the idol age DFC rep.
Castlevania's music is so good even the pachinko machines have good soundtrack.
There's some Pachinko only bangers like Trezire de Spirit we're likely never getting revisited in any capacity.
I'm gonna agree to disagree on Death's language, I actually did like him cursing like a sailor. I expected something more sophisticated but considering that Varney was always this foul mouthed little fricker, why not keep the same energy after he's revealed himself?
Turn everyone into sexy vamps
Thank AI slop for visualizing making my corruption fetish
Huh, just realized this reminded me of that one vision of a bad end future two kids in Supurbia had
I hope Julia gets more screen time. Maybe through Juste or Olrox's past.
https://files.catbox.moe/40ah1c.jpg
>Tera coming back to them in the middle of the night.
>Flirting with Richter
>Tells him she was always tempted to turn him into a man
YESSSS DESPOIL HER IMAGE
>Aunt x Nephew relations
Do it, Clive. FRICKING DO IT.
So was Alucard's redesign for the CV3 pachinko machine just his model recycled from the aborted PS360 Igarashi game?
The faces look different (to me at least)
Plus I think the 360/ps3 one had more armored leggings.
Maybe the base, but if they did he's been retextured, with extra frills. He looks very similar with the gloves.
so glad this got shut down before he ruined Alucard with another boring empty hallway simulator
this man must be kept from full 3D games at all costs
Well of fricking course IGA needs to stay the frick away from 3d. I mean look at nanobreaker compared to Bloodstained. It's as dumb as having alucard getting bisexually raped or making a Rondo of blood with a hatian genocide Annette.
Still would've been better than LoS
According to the writers, because of the closeness of the three revolutions they are pulling elements from the three revolutions together
>Olrox and his gay lover and the American revolution
>The current French Revolution
>Annette and the Haiti revolution
Meh. They are just going to whitewash the French revolution and the Haiti revolution
>According to the writers, because of the closeness of the three revolutions they are pulling elements from the three revolutions together
We pretty much saw that in the first season already
>whitewash the French revolution
What?
Olrox having any proximity to the American revolution is moronic. They should've at least made him native american instead of aztec if they wanted that
You are going to see George Washington with Olrox and you are going to like it (Though it might just be Franklin who appears)
Aztecs are Native Americans you absolute moron
By Native American I meant people indigenous to the land that would become the US, people usually use different terms for the indigenous peoples of Mexico, South America, Canada, etc
>Doesn't know Aztecs are American
>Thinks it's odd immortal creatures could exist in various time periods and places throughout history
No wonder you hate this show, your brain doesn't work even a little bit.
The only non moronic christian...
At least Mizrak has some sense.
Can it just be said that the intro to Rondo of Blood is perfect. God, this should've been the template used.
?si=8xURYOSOGiHlAwjX
why is this in german anyway? it's meant to be in hungary/romania. did the devs just love the herzog nosferatu or what?
German is not that far fetched considering the year anon.
This disappoints me since it makes me realize that the show virtually never actually ventured into horror or even remotely spooky territory. All that "psychedelic horror" shit that Ellis was going on with in regards to Season Three was a load of bunk.
Horror doesn't translate well to animation despite what Cinemaphile will tell you
I just finished watching this and it wasn't very good. I'm a fan of the games and I have played every Igavania, the 3D games I even enjoyed the LOS games and I wasn't too bothered by the changes done in the original series since I thought it still captured the spirit of the series, Alucard buttfricking aside.
But this might as well be a generic vampire series where they slapped the characters' names. It was a given that it wouldn't be a straight adaptation since Rondo has a pretty barebones plot and what we know of Richter and Maria's characters comes mainly from SOTN and Portrait of Ruin but instead of using that as a framework, they just made a bunch of shit up on their own. Richter is a whiny b***h instead of the gigachad from the games, making him a magical knight is dumb since he was supposed to be that good just from his physical skills, it also bugs me how they keep nerfing the whip.
Maria acting like your average feminist high schooler is really jarring, Annette is an insufferable b***h that the series spends way too much time fellating, Emmanuelle is the dumbest motherfricker ever, Olrox feels like they wanted to make their own Alucard just dark skinned and gay (and missing the whole point of the character). Tera and the knight dude were the best characters if only because they weren't utterly moronic (and Tera would've made for a better Anette than Anette)
Unsurprisingly, what I enjoyed the most were Juste and Alucard even if Juste got retconned into a failure, I think he didn't get butchered that badly, and it is clear the staff has a massive boner for Alucard. It makes no sense for Alucard to show up this early but him one-shotting Drolta was incredibly satisfying.
>Annette is an insufferable b***h
Elaborate?
>Written by Testament
Who?
The band?
The Gear?
Show was sooooo good, second season production is in motion already frick yeah
I mean, with this netflix shows they always pretend to release 1 season, but in reality is just half a season in disguise.
because at the moment it feels that nothing happen until the end
Reminds me of Little Witch Academia
I watched Nocturne expecting the whole thing to be resolved in 8 episodes and got blueballed by the cliffhanger
Did things really need to be dragged out this long?
stop being obvious, shill
Would Alucard dick down vampire Maria?
Depends on if she's drinking people.
Anon, she's literally going to get dicked by a white man with a whip.
>get dicked by a white man with a whip.
>racemixing
>evil racist white man slave dealer stereotype in full force
im so sick of this fricking meme, everyone in europe and the middle east got fricking enslaved if they were unlucky enough, it had nothing to do with your fricking race, im sick of propaganda, and if you're gonna give me propaganda at least dont be such a double standarded bastard and give me viewpoints from every side you fricking commies
Jesus christ, anon. Calm your fricking breasts. It's just Richter.
>racemixing
I wouldn't be surprised if they make Shanoa black, or Arab, or South Asian because Netflix hates white people and East Asian people.
you people need new talking point
Why? Netflix keeps doing it. And not just for this series. It's literally in their pitch requirements.
>Iga: What have you done with my wife?
I'd be okay with this just because I want to see IGA seethe.
>"Netflix hates white people"
>Only 5 characters arent white, and out of those five 2 are villains, 1 just appears in flashbacks and as a hologram and another is now more demon than human
In a franchise where 90% of the characters are white and zero are black
Adding blacks doesnt equate to white hate
>While all the white men are a bunch of losers
Richter is the strongest guy in the new main group by a wide margin, and Alucard one shottes the black vampire who was MUCH older than him, hell she was probably older than even Dracula himself
>Richter is the strongest guy in the new main group by a wide margin
did he acomplish anything?
>Alucard
And is up to wait and see what happen in the next season.
>did he acomplish anything?
Killed a bunch of vampires, including one of the generals
I dont think he ever drew black people
>he
Kojima's a lady, or so we think. Ever seen her and Hideo in the same place at the same time? Thought not.
>did he acomplish anything?
Not much, but more than any of the Black folks did
While all the white men are a bunch of losers
Will the Vampire survivor tv show have any better reception?
willing to sacrifice her for IGA seethe tbh
Ok libtard
I don't care about politics or woke bullshit, IGA just needs to suffer for making shit 3D games
Then the one who needs to be sacrificed should be a character from any of the 3D games, like Sara Trantoul, for example.
What was the other 3d game he made?
NTA, but there's only 2 3D Castlevania games made by Igarashi. Curse of Darkness and Lament of Innocence. There are other 3D Castlevania games, but they weren't produced By Igarashi, and both were on Nintendo 64. There was supposed to be a 3D Castlevania game on Nintendo 64 that would have featured Sonia Belmont, but it was cancelled thanks to Igarashi writing her out of canon.
He's making fun of Nanobreaker.
there is always light in darkness. african god philosphy, as generic as any other.
or is talking about her Racebending?
sweet dreams.
great he is the shy one getting pegged by her rock dick
Sex? Sex
will be offscreen sex, with annette critisising how fast he was
Whats the white version of jungle fever? Cause Annette has a whole lot of that
She has what you can call the Whitey Wanting because she saw how Richter could handle a whip.
vanilla fever
potato fever
frosty fever
snow fever
ghost fever
or in other terms, she's a whiteoholic
Racemixing? Racemixing
Richter cool moment of redemption and improvement.
Thrown into the garbage for a joke about "well I would say something cool, but why bother"
Writter was so clever
nocturne richter gives me the ick hes such a pussy
i miss trevor now THAT was a fricking man
i want to frick trevor belmont so bad
I thought polgays would be too busy jerking off over the new war to have time to shit up other places. Guess I was too optimistic
I am from Cinemaphile homosexual get better taste
>Cinemaphile
Same thing
Shilling for a dogshit show is crazy you guys have no taste
>season 2
Not surprising, but yay.
So, I still haven't watched this show and I'll keep it that way but I did watch a review with lots of cuts and it's even worse than I antecipated. There are these scenes with some homosexual OC singing in a way that would make even the most flaming homosexual cringe i'm not kididng, it gets worse tho, apparently his singing makes the demons nice LMAO you can't make this shit up!
And don't get me started on the animation, this costed 30 million? They certainly didn't spend that on animation, couldn't be voice acting either. It would be sad if wasn't so amusing
how could this Annette be called.
Because could easly call her NegrAnnette or Annegra...
But want something a little more respectful and tasteful. Isnt some African name that kind of sound like Annette that could be used instead?
Annegowo Ayenette
Nocturne!Annette or some variation/shortening of that, obviously.
>Nocturne!Annette
>Noc!ette
>Nogette
>Neggette
Annecturne
Aztec Vampire doesn't sound bad on paper, but if they're going that route they might as well just drop the Castlevania license entirely and write their own original thing.
At this point the series only resembles Castlevania on very superficial levels and most of the audience don't care about the games anyway.
>At this point the series only resembles Castlevania on very superficial levels and most of the audience don't care about the games anyway.
We know.
What is the point of this post?
You're just parroting the same thing that's been said over and over.
>Aztec Vampire doesn't sound bad on paper,
pic related I know that they aren't vampires
>but if they're going that route they might as well just drop the Castlevania license entirely and write their own original thing.
They wouldn't be doing adapting it if they could sell it on its merits.
>At this point the series only resembles Castlevania on very superficial levels and most of the audience don't care about the games anyway.
Those two can be true and it would still be a bad idea. Nobody would give a shit about it without the IPs name attached.
>Those two can be true and it would still be a bad idea. Nobody would give a shit about it without the IPs name attached.
Kind of a problem with a lot of adaptations netflix is shitting out. The people involved don't give two shits about the source material and would rather write their own original stuff, but netflix doesn't allow so they end up changing the work to their own liking or putting their oc's in it but replace the names with the names of the official characters.
Dropping the license would save a lot of money and give the writers more freedom. But that would also mean dropping Alucard and without the vampire twink everyone would lose their interest.
>Kind of a problem with a lot of adaptations netflix is shitting out. The people involved don't give two shits about the source material and would rather write their own original stuff,
>but netflix doesn't allow so they end up changing the work to their own liking or putting their oc's in it but replace the names with the names of the official characters.
Netflix would greenlight almost anything. It isn't Netflix.
>Dropping the license would save a lot of money and give the writers more freedom.
That is not how it works.
Normalgays. Nobody would have given it a chance if it was an original property.
>Normalgays
And why do you think normalgays care about it being named castlevania?
>And why do you think normalgays care about it being named castlevania?
>Castlevania like the thing in the Nintendo?
>Previous show had the same things
It was also shit.
>Anon its a french revolution with vampire not a documentary, this is alternate history bot revisionism
So is the depiction of the Tulsa riots in Watchmen 2019.
You pic proves my point though, if the main audience didnt play the games and therefore doesnt care for it then how can you assume that if it had a different name people wouldnt watch it? I dont see the connection
It means its not a problem of this show specifically, and if anything this show was less anti christian than the previous one
>You pic proves my point though, if the main audience didnt play the games and therefore doesnt care for it then how can you assume that if it had a different name people wouldnt watch it? I dont see the connection
Because anybody with a modicum of self-respect would do a simple google search. Current Thingers don't care and let social media make their opinions.
unironically you don't want these people being your main audience
when it starts being dominated by braindead twitter people your show goes the way of Witcher and Rings of Power where the people shitting on it get collectively bigger and the morons don't have the attention span to defend it and just move on to the next thing
Even if they've never played the game, the name does have a lot of brand recognition that will help draw in the audience.
>The people involved don't give two shits about the source material and would rather write their own original stuff, but netflix doesn't allow so they end up changing the work to their own liking or putting their oc's in it but replace the names with the names of the official characters.
I'll never understand this. I can't recall a time where this actually worked in their favor, if anything people almost always shit on it
All it does is broadcast that you're a fricking loser with awful ideas
>especially given how the video game fans have been shitting on it since season 2 and it still manged to be successful
Season 1 and 2 were still in that grace period where most people thought the show was at least "Good"
but Season 3 and 4 dropped in viewership and so far Nocturne has done worse in views compared to other anime on Netflix that was made on a cheaper budget
And as anecdotal as it sounds, a lot of my normie friends stopped watching after Season 2 so I can believe that was a consistent feeling to most normalgays in general
I genuinely don't think this show is as popular as they say when even pic related is making numbers on twitter and even they agree with it
>Nobody would give a shit about it without the IPs name attached.
Huge assumption, especially given how the video game fans have been shitting on it since season 2 and it still manged to be successful
Big mouth is on its seven season?
So i guess if you thought it was bad, would be wrong.
I still don't know why shit like Big Mouth or Bob's Burgers are popular these days other than the fact that they attract normies
Bob's Burgers is pretty much the alternative to Family Guy and Simpsons, especially for people sick of those shows. You're right on Big Mouth though, I refuse to believe people actually engage with it as anything other than background noise.
>Nobody would give a shit about it without the IPs name attached.
Powerhouse have shitty writers and directors.
Did Alucard frick femGrant anyway?
I finally got around to watching this last night, after someone on Discord mentioned Juste and I realized "yeah that's on me for not watching soon enough". Despite already knowing some spoilers, I went in and highly enjoyed the whole thing.
That said, might be a dumb question but do we know 100% S2 is new work? Because I've heard for a lot of Netflix animation, they order 2-3 "seasons" worth of episodes and drip them out strategically. I.e., if they wanted, they could put up the rest of the show right now. Definitely happened with Cuphead and Sonic Prime, not sure what other shows do it.
I honestly tried watching it, but it was so bad. The dialogue is terrible.
How hard is it to do a proper adaptation of Castlevania? It's just "hero man goes to place and fights monsters" it's really easy to do.
It already went wrong with season 2 by skipping the journey to Dracula's castle and sitting in the library while Dracula is busy with vampire game of thrones.
Maybe an entire season with long fight scenes every episode would be too difficult, or they didn't want to draw new backgrounds for each new location the heroes would visit during their journey?
The shortest one reminds me of Beth Ellen.
Frick Powerhouse and frick Netflix.
What is with shills trying to get people to dismiss obvious problems with the show?
>Anti-Christianity
>Raceswaping
>Historical Revisionism
These all come from the same place, for the same reasons, and end with the same results.
What part is revisionist? Saint-Domingue?
>Anti-Christianity
>Raceswaping
Previous show had the same things
>Historical Revisionism
Anon its a french revolution with vampire not a documentary, this is alternate history bot revisionism
>Previous show had the same things
And that makes it okay?
What happened to that girl Erzsebet was sucking on? She was hot. At some point we see her dancing with Erz like she's happy to be with her, then later Erz is sipping from her like a Capri Sun. Did she died?
Pssst, do you all want to see more of Annette in action?
No, desaturate every color till it's greyscale
No, because every action scene is this show ranges from bad to headache inducing sequences.
I agree. Even the video in the link has better action scenes.
when she pulls the jail door to block the nails of Drolta is kind of stupid, specially for how it drags her along the floor.
the forces have to be really really really balanced to not slide to the sides by accident.
It was kind of weird, but that fight overall was amazing.
Groompire
Is not grooming when is the legal age at that time.
Also if you are old enough to lead a revolution, you are old enough to do a bunch of other stuff
>to do a bunch of other stuff
What other stuff exactly?
Taxes.
>we want the Vice audience
How great would it have been if nothing bad happened and they resolved the vampire situation cleanly and spent the last half of the season in a charming domestic comedy?
Just imagine the sexual tension when vampire!Tera meets Richter again.
Is this shit even following the basic plot of Rondo or they are making shit up like the previous seasons?
>they are making shit up like the previous seasons
Yeah
Completely making shit up
there is a character name Richter, Maria and Annete, thats about it.
>Annete
How would Annocturnette look like in Ayami kojima style?
Why did Kojima give her such a long neck
Who knows!
Making stuff up. The only time the French Revolution was ever even alluded to in the games was in Bloodlines with the Versailles Palace level.
>Belmont's first female vampire hunter besides non-canon Sonia
>jobs hard and dies
Lmao
All was the fault of her moronic kid Richter, if he was not there distracting here She would have killed Olrox right there with out a problem
sex with her
Why would Lydie and Maxim getting bumped off turn Juste into a wreck, wouldn't it just strengthen his resolve like losing Sara did to Leon?
>resolve
The writers are cucks. They have no concept of resolve.
on the bright side, there wont be ever a new castlevania game, just collections and new shows
