I hated both these shows as a kid.
Depends on creator, one is fun guy who makes cartoon for people to enjoy of all ages while the other one is an political nutjob who seethe on modern cartoons doing better than his work, also milking NFTs instead of his comicwork.

Catdog was horrible. Catscratch is meh so it wins by default.

I dont understand catdog hate. Loved it as a kid, maybe my fav during that time, watched it recently and it held up. Catscratch, thought it sucked as a kid, haven't rewatched.

Why wasn't Catscratch as successful as Earthworm Jim? Both had the same creator.
It wasn’t SpongeBob ratings. Plus the new head of Nick left around that time and was replaced by Cyma who cancelled everything and made SpongeBob clones and spamming Dan Schneiders shit.
The network kills anything in the same demo as Spongebob that isn't Spongebob
Nick's incompetence aside, the show itself just wasn't very good. TenNapel is a better comic artist and game designer than he is as an animator.
I don't remember shit about Catscratch
So my choices are
>Show Nick wanted to stretch way beyond it's potential to force it to be a big hit
Or
>Show nick wanted to abort immediately and waste it's potential because it wasn't as big a hit as they wanted
the cats from catscratch are far more frickable
but catdog is the better cartoon
I liked both of these shows, but CatDog was better
CatScratch was the better show but I always wanted to frick Dog and Rancid Rabbit from CatDog so I'm not sure which one to pick.
