I don't blame Brie. I think her handlers/the suits forced her into a bad mentality. They tell you "you have to be this way" "you can't do this, it's too girly" etc, & she failed to pull it off & jump through their hoops.
Strange should have taken up the Avengers mantle, & the next phase or whatever should have introduced the magic elements, like how Tony led the way to the first Avengers story & it was mostly tech based. But then they banked hard on a cute quirky girl from sitcoms to play a badass female lead with zero personality & thought it would work on sheer corporate momentum.
What they needed to do was to have Doc Spooky be the Tony & do magic stuff & let Brie be the Thor with the cosmic stuff, & then have Black Panther be the grounded Captain America type. Sure Chadwick died, but they could have let the Gorrilla dude take his place, he was cool, or maybe recast a black man again, it worked with War Machine.
But they became unfocused & deluded & tried to open too many projects without oversight & now its a mess
