There's a french movie in particular but in general any film where the twist involves large amounts of what we've seen not having been real in any way with no set up
Like if there's discrepincies and something is "off" ok, at least they tried, but the movie I remember had literally the first 80% be a delusional affair by a crazy lady then the "twist" was that she was crazy and none of it had happened and she'd actually just beaten some random guy she met once before into a coma for no reason
The indictment scene in murder by death needs to be mandatory viewing for anyone making a twist movie
It's a french movie about a crazy lady who thinks she's having an affair with her doctor and ends with her making a painting if him with her meds
I don't remember anything else the sex scenes weren't very good
Still makes me mad whenever I scroll through streaming services looking for a crime show to watch. It makes me unreasonably mad, because they did the exact same shit in season two and I fell for it again. Taught me to not watch follow up seasons of shows I don't like. Can't fathom how people on here can watch the current True Detetive slop for example.
split, mostly because it came out of fricking nowhere right at the very end and made absolutely no sense if you hadn't already seen the first film (and there was no indication it was supposed to be a sequel)
Tomorrow War made me increasingly angry as the stupid plot was revealed.
Every new reveal was dumber than the last.
The plot of this movie is a triumph of Stupid.
Yeah it was a shocking twist but not in a good way, because there were no clues or hints, and then just implies that his character was acting stupid for the whole film
pic related was trying hard to be like The Prestige, but came up short in every way
Then the so-called "twist" reveal happened at the end and I was just confused because what really happened was what I had already assumed had happened. I thought the audience was supposed to have known it through subtle clues, but then the movie acts like it's supposed to blow my mind.
I agree, when I watched it in the theater I felt bad for Paul Giamatti having to do the guffaws and stuff in his “At Long Last I Realize My Mind Was The Illusionist All Along” bit.
There was a terrible thriller with Halle Berry and Bruce Willis where the twist is she's the killer despite it going against everything we've seen earlier, including the way she behaved.
Fricking awful. Halle's smoking hot and a half-decent actress but she can't pick a role to save her life. Bruce has just been in doing it for the cash mode for over two decades.

High Tension? Is that the movie your thinking of?

Was she a redhead? I'm trying to recall the name.
sounds like a bobby ewing in the shower
signs, the twist was I thought I was watching a good movie but it was actually a terrible one
Star Trek into Darkness is probably the only one that genuinely made me mad.
>Luke, I am your father
>Noooooooo!
Bravo Lucas
>Luke
>Noooo you made me frick my la heckin daughterino nooo!
>This is so terrible ahhh! now I have to brainwash myself so I can continue fricking her!!!!

Wait, I really liked all the Bron seasons and can’t quite remember what trust you’re up in arms about.
This is one of the most moronic movies ever made
That was the least moronic Shamalamadingdong tweest. Let that sink in.

inb4 remember me which has a twist so good (don't look it up) i almost shouted in surprise at the cinema when it happened (i'm white)

Indiana Jones, the first one.
I want to watch a movie but it was already spoiled, how can i forget about it?
frick this movie
Splice - First two thirds were good. Last third was dumb, and the final scene had me raging.
This too. Love that it's basically the brother's script from the movie Adaptation.
This gets often overlooked because everything else was shit and no one cared about him, but man this was bad.
I didn’t watch it and I don’t know anyone that did.
Now You See Me
The fact that Mark Ruffalo was in on it the whole time felt very forced
I was shocked at that plot twist, and never saw it coming. But it still made no fricking sense

To be fair the Illusionist came out months before the Prestige.
that was the twist
>was trying hard to be like The Prestige
By releasing 3 months earlier?

I saw that shit, it was unintentionally hilarious

Contact. The alien being her 'dad'
Blame Sagan
