If one of his jokes falls flat you should mutter "fricking Black folk" just loud enough for him to hear it.

He is until he gets way too emotional about shit.

Also be on the lookout if he mentions his "muslim faith". That should be your cue to heckle him for being "muslim" that openly smokes and drinks.

Sam Hyde can go ten minutes and say NOTHING and still have his moronic gimp read $100 superchats about how his stream is "kino".

he sucks. Bill Cosby was the only black comic worth watching. If I want a lecture, I'll go to MIT's YouTube channel.

Bill Cosby raped white women for decades and you're going to defend him?

all women should be raped, especially white ones

He's really leaned into his "whitey bad" material ever since the summer of love, but we pretend he's based because he dunks on trannies

Chappelles Show is timeless but his standup has become absolutely insufferable. Too many people telling him how great he is went to his head a long time ago

I predict I’m gonna bing Chappelle Show the day of and be disappointed. No idea though

I've seen him live. It's pretty good but he does go on about his accomplishments and trials and tribulations too much. When I saw him he was doing shit about OJ Simpson still, and it was like a hefty 15 minutes of it, and I'm sure you'll be subject to that same kind of shit.

His standup sucks and he hasn’t been funny in 15 years.

His standup is theatrical now, he just gesticulates and uses inflections of his voice to instruct the audience when to laugh. They aren’t laughing because his material is actually funny, they are laughing because it’s Dave Chappelle pantomiming that they should

I saw him at Radio City like 5 years ago and he was pretty good, for shows I've seen it's Louis>Dave>Norm I would say, want to see Atell one of these days

I actually saw Louis back in 2020 before lockdowns and it was top-notch. I have similar expectations for Chappelle honestly

My mom got us tickets to see John Mulaney in December. It’s a few hours drive away in a neighboring state. I’ve never been a stand-up comedy show but I listen to tons of it so I’m excited.

What are the odds that he mostly just does jokes from his latest special? I’ve heard that often times that’s what stand-up comics do instead of new stuff and I’d be kinda disappointed if he just does a bunch of stuff we’ve already heard.

If he has a recent special I would expect him to do that, it'll still hit better live

The issue is when comedians try new material at live shows, they usually bomb and land with one or two really good jokes you’ve never heard before

No I’m a 25 year old straight white guy. John was one of the first comedians I got into via Pandora somehow back when I was 19. I used to listen to him, Louis CK, Brian Regan, and Jim Gaffigan all the time on Pandora. I don’t think Jim is very funny nowadays, and I don’t like John as much as I did back then, but I still think he’s alright. My favorite comedian now is probably Louis CK

My dad really doesn’t like John Mulaney

I don’t like John but I do like the other comics you mentioned. Check out Joe List, in my opinion he is the best comic working today besides Louie

I don’t know much about Joe List other than he’s on that podcast with Mark Normand(I like Mark a lot) and that he and Louie made a movie together. On his appearance on JRE with Louis CK he mentioned how he felt like he was one of the worst guest Rogan had ever had on and then rogan and Louis both dog piled him for even brining it up. Was really awkward

His voice is shot for some reason, probably the heavy smoking. His material is very race oriented now. His old stuff was making fun of whites and blacks, now it's more like whining about Emmett Till and slavery.

He was a lot funnier in the Chappelle Show days, in my opinion. He's not outright terrible in current day, but he's definitely nosedived.
