          It's more
          >fat guy is shallow and immature so he keeps his head down because he's insecure about his obvious flaws
          >Sheds his perceived flaws so now he feels untouchable so he goes full c**t

Exactly. Him being a dick was less about the exercise thing, and more that he was given a reason to feel better than other people and took it all the way to the furthest extent possible.

The actual point of the episode is that Brian is a self destructive butthole who always takes things too far. Being fit didn't make him that way.

  14. 7 months ago

They do this so they have an excuse to keep the status quo. At least in the Simpsons when Homer became kinda fit they didnt reset it at the end of the mountain episode

  15. 7 months ago

I wouldn't say Brian looks fit there, just anorexic.

  16. 7 months ago

Brian looks fricking anorexic in this photo. I know this episode but he never looked healthy like this. He looked like a starving dog that needs to be taken by ASPCA.

I feel Seth has less of an issue with exercise and more of someone becoming narcissistic and arrogant because they look better, not the fact that they look better.

How much influence does Seth have on Family Guy these days? I get the feeling that he's just collecting his paycheck and voicing his characters. Who knows? Maybe deep down he doesn't even like his own show anymore.

        >How much influence does Seth have on Family Guy these days?
Actually not that much. He wrote episodes early on but I'm pretty sure he only voices the characters now.

I just want him to make a Family Guy movie. If fricking Bob's Burgers can get a theatrical movie, then why can't Family Guy. I seriously don't get how they greenlit a Bob's Burgers movie before a Family Guy one.

I don't know who he handed the writing off to, but whoever's in charge seem bitter as frick. Like they're stuck permanently seething with an inferiority complex. Almost like they took late-season Quagmire and let him do everything.

Legit question, why do people blame Seth for specific jokes like these, when he's barely a part in the writing? As some said, this isn't even a Seth thing, it's how some people actually act.

I remember an earlier thread with an anon getting mad at the show making fun of Arby's, when it's not even specific to Family Guy.

Funny you mention that, that moron has screamed bloody murder over what Family Guy has said/done and how Seth McFarlane is to blame every time. I wouldn't be surprised if that's where the narrative came from originally.

I remember he used to look at the opening credits of Spongebob episodes he hated to find the writers, leading to his moron fandom to harass the writers for just doing their jobs. I get not liking an episode but bothering one underpaid writer for it? I used to watch his reviews all the time but it wasn't healthy for my media consumption.
