Peggy grows on you, she does not act of malice and she has her moments. I used to despise her fricking character, over time though I softened. I think Buck Strickland was the biggest piece of shit on that show and did not deserve Hank Hill selling his shitty propane and propane accessories.
I never bought Hank's loyalty to Strickland, I understand him being proud of his job but there's no way someone like Hank would look up to a scum bag like Strickland.
Buck took Hank under his wing and gave Hank direction. I like to think Buck was a better person when Hank started with Strickland but gradually became a scumbag who took advantage of Hank.
Did you see the episode showing how Hank ended up working for Strickland? Explains a lot about his loyalty, plus in Hank’s day you could reasonably expect to spend your whole career with one company. The only other propane in town is Thatherton and Hank hates him.

I know this isnt a Buffy thread but can we talk for a second on how that whole arc made no sense. Giles is a watcher his entire job is to babysit the slayer and make sure she has everything necessary to do her job so that she can focus on the whole killing monsters bit. Not to mention even if she did have get money on her own theres a thousand different better ways than getting a job at a fricking fast food restaurant.
It's obscenely unrealistic, but there are very few characters in that show that are legitimately terrible irredeemable people. >Pennsatucky's white nationalist former friends >the black woman who came in, took over the blacks, and instigated the race issues and the riot >Luscheck (lol)
Even the bulldyke rapist got redeemed. It got ridiculously tiring after season 3 when every episode showed how another prisoner was only in prison because they were unfairly screwed over in some way.
