Characters that deserved better
Its hard for me to answer this question OP because all the characters I like are Antagonists and I cant like them for Protagonist reasons because that would defeat the point on why I like them.
I mean theres definitely some villains who deserved better I'd say, like doctor doom, he's still never been done right at all in any live action, honestly I don't think he COULD be written well and have his comic self translated onto the big screen without more than 1 movie

DC just abandoned this little dude to the realm of "oh yeah i guess he's in the background doing X or Y". Did Dark Knights even happen in the current universe? Is his origin even sensible anymore? I really liked his comic and thought it was a lot better version of a Blue Beetle/Spider-man type character. Shame we'll likely never get another solo with him again.

I've come to believe that someone in editorial actually hates her and kept her out of books Inhuman or not. Considering we have shit like Brevoort apparently blocking Wanda and Vision getting back together Petty bullshit is not out of the ordinary for comics. A lot of old fans are still salty with how her relationships with Johnny and quicksilver were handled.

i mean crystal with quicksilver makes more sense, also Johnny should be with a skrull woman, that way she can transform into any race of woman at any giving time and give Johnny the variety of wants but without cheating

People forget that Ike wasn't the only one Influencing the comics. Ike was pushing for Inhumans and Feige was pushing for women and diversity. As such Black Bolt gets sideline for first half of the push so the Medusa could be the prominent Inhuman and they apparently couldn't think of a better way.
Unironically Crystal's stuff was worse since if nothing else BB and Medusa said to not be together when started with Johnny and gorgon. They had Crystal outright leave Johhnny for quicksilver. Then had her cheat on quicksilver because Englehart was trying to turn quicksilver into a villain. That was blamed on Maximus but then writers forgot and stated blaming Crystal again Then there was thing with Black Knight because they hoping drama could boost the sales of a the Avengers since it didn't have the usual team. The biggest casuality of Medusa's shit is that her and Black Bolt can't get back together without Black Bolt looking bad. He at least needs to get another romance under his belt in the meantime
