X-Men in general. The entire IP cannot move away from "media literacy: the franchise" unless it's a video game.

The Avengers fandom don't have a notorious reputation of being whiners, sex-obsessed weirdoes, fujos, or "men" with a fixation on soap opera drama that would put middle-aged women to shame.

As for the OP, probably Batman's. They're the only fandom that would actively set out to make Batwank media.

I have never seen a more miserable, vituperative batch of virgins than when I click on a Spider-Man thread.
They hate each other, they hate Spider-Man, they hate Marvel (and rightly so on all points), but they keep on buying, ragewatching, and shilling for free online. Gotta have my Spidey!

I’m buying ultimate and typically whatever minis that JMD or Peter David are working on. I stopped buying amazing after Spencer and now just spend all day lamenting what could’ve been. I just wish spiderverse let petes death in it be the start of the emotional climax of the movie rather than the limp wristed beginning of the story. Imagine miles actually having a connection to peter than being forced to watch him die stopping a villains plan leaving miles to have to deal with the villain alone.

As a Spidey fan the issue that I see with the fanbase is that they can't fricking agree on ANYTHING. Everyone has their own mental image/headcanon of the web head.

The big 3 (Batman, Superman, Spider-Man) all have this issue. If anything, there seems to be a more common consensus on who Spider-Man is and is supposed to be.

            Anonymous

Spider-man benefitted from his early years consistently showing growth and the passage of time as you see him go from high school, college, and then post college. Because Spider-man came later, his formative comic years could be better planned than Batman/Superman who are more developed by their later reinterpretations by various writers than their early runs. But then again all that stuff happened before anyone reading this thread was born, so if you only read Spider-man stories that came out in the last 25 years, you'll have a different take on him.

Why should I like goblincels, milesgays, and paulgays? They hate Spider-man, Spider-Man fans don't hate him. I don't buy comics from Marvel, and I'm not shilling anything from Marvel.

Where are you getting the idea that the Goblinbros hate Spider-Man? Most of us are open about also being Peter/MJ shippers who want the book to be better.

literally one of you spammed the sins past comic every thread like a year ago, and one of you is a Hispanic from /dbs/ who spammed Peter getting cucked by Goblin.

If they're goblincels, then why is it that they don't know the first damn thing about goblin lore?

They're old senile boomers, and throughout this whole run, they tried to keep turning Peter into Green Goblin. Zeb Wells is almost in his 50s and he's still childless.

            >Peter/MJ shippers who want the book to be better.
            >The shipping of Peter and MJ is the core of what makes the entirety of the series

I dont get this, Spider-Man is supposed to be the main lead and the pull of the story, why would marrying one prostitute make everything better in terms of making stories about said main lead. Peter's fricking fun without a love interest and more popular alone and teamed up with characters. It's why we got a spider verse movie without mj and only his non talking daughter, Peter and his role carries the movie by himself alongside Miles and Gwen.

Spider-Man is supposed to exist in a reasonably grounded setting for a superhero, and mostly within the New York area. Spiderverse has been a cancer on the character, as have Miles and Gwen. Gwen was only ever good for dying and having Norman's babies

                >Spider-Man is supposed to exist in a reasonably grounded setting for a superhero, and mostly within the New York area.

This has never been the case, grounded to an extent his civilian stories happened there but hes been through crazy over the top adventures and even been constantly a tly through unrealistic situations added to his life like aliens, clones, Magic, super spy shit and even Cosmic adventures as a regular part of his solo arcs.

                Anonymous

Anon, the symbiotes and clones got popular enough to get normalized as part of the Spider-Man mythos, but stuff like magic, cosmic or spy adventures tend to happen sparingly enough to make them unusual and special when they do happen. Normalizing travel to other dimensions and teaming up with AU versions of himself as a core part of what modern day Spider-Man is all about has just been an insane creative decision.

The fans of these b***hes are bad even by X-gay standards. Stormgays b***hed at Ewing for Storm getting help to beat Vulcan and genesis feeling that she should have solo'd everyone in a fricking team book. Emmagays are just obnoxious and they have weird thing of wanting Emma to be a massive b***h like in hellfire days, doing all the shit most x-men would have too much moral fiber to do and they don't want her to be called out on. She's like the female Dr. Doom.

Cyclops chuds deserve to be annoying and/or fragile, Cyclops has been getting cucked ever since Claremont threw a hissyfit about the protagonist of the X-Men franchise not retiring forever, then add the jean/logan thing, the movies, the animated series or content post evolution, fricking avengers vs xmen and rightclops era and finish it off with him getting keked in krakoa.
Cyclops is one of those times where the persecution complex was real, threadly reminder Rightclops was complete accidental
Beau de Mayo is based since he not only whitewashed him but actually has been giving him a well deserved showcase.

Writers were constantly trying to portray Scott as getting progressively more and more into villainy after House of M, but they were so incompetent that all they did was succeed at making him look like the only person in any given room with working braincells. Just take Cyclops and Wolverine's "debate" at the end of Schism as an example, it's supposed to be an argument of both sides are right and wrong in their owns ways but the only thing you really get from it is that Wolverine is a fricking moron, then stretch that out for 9 years and you get where Scott's current fanbase comes from
