I agree. I don’t think his stories have to be devoid of sex but I’ve never been a fan of him being in long term romantic relationships.
Batman and relationships unironically work better with friendship than romance, like stories of him with becoming or meeting old friends work but romantic shit never does even with other female characters it works better that way like I like him and zatanna or wonder woman friendships but never in romance way once goes to that feels force.
I don't hate the Zatanna pairing, but it's entirely a Dini thing no other writer cared for, and you can see why, she's vastly OP compared with him and would upstage him. If she wanted to she could beat his entire rogues gallery at once and make him look redundant in his own book. This is why street-level or low-powered heroes with their own solo books generally don't date heroines who are more powerful than them.
