No Sinner was ever redeemed until Adam paid the price for their sins in his death.
There was no real redemption system before Adam’s death. Only after he died, could they be forgiven for their sins. Making Sir Pentious the first sinner in heaven.
That’s why Vivziepop did her job to reveal and hint towards the truth of Adam’s character and have him die in Season 1, so Charlie’s redemption system can work in S2 and S3, with the truth being revealed in season 2, for Adam to reunite with Lute again.

Calling it now, the deal Alastor made with lilth is something to do with her being allowed back in yo Eden, and he's trying to get something on Charlie in order to work a way out of his deal with lilith, I base this off the end shot of lilith on the beach, no mention of heaven made just "here", and Alastor manipulation to try get Charlie to make a vague deal, he hasn't worked out a solid path yet but he's trying to stack his deck when the time comes.
It makes sense thematically, lilith wants back what was denied her, Alastor is losing it over being trapped in the conditions of his deal what ever it was hence the vague generalised deal of a "favor" with Charlie

If I have ONE major gripe is that...yes they were on a tight episode schedule, It's not the "time skips" that bother me, those are perfectly fine. But there were things and scenes they should've dragged out a bit more. Yes Pentious being gibbed by Adam in like 5 frames was funny, but it would've had more weight if we'd seen Pentiou's expression as he's being vaporized or him throwing one of his eggboys out of the ship before it is hit "saving them" a bit more in certain scenes would've gone a long way.

This show has some of the worst pacing I've ever seen. They really should have just banked on getting a second season. I feel like I skipped 75% of the show the way these musical numbers between characters pop up or reprises of shit that happened like thirty minutes ago.
HH is a show where the antagonists (Adam and Lute) are the true main characters and are the true heroes trying to save the sinners, while Charlie and co. are messing with a system that only Adam and Lute understand (sin can only be redeemed by sacrifices) and flimsily try to do it by works, since Heaven themselves thinks that’s how a sinner can be redeemed.
So if you only looked at Adam and Lute, and ignored the distractions, you would understand how the redemption system actually works and see them make the true progresses in the story of S1.
So Viv’s best characters and storyline is literally hidden in episodes 1, 6, and 8, only in the Adam and Lute scenes, since everything else literally doesn’t fricking work.
I thought it was framed as intentional in that Lucifer and Lilith conspired to tempt Eve to sin; Lucifer himself gloats to Adam about introducing sin to Eve as if it were something to be proud of in this episode. Maybe I need to rewatch the first episode.

It's the issue of having only 8 episodes and no real build up other than a fast sped up one.
Husk gets focus in one and a half episodes (5 counts as HALF an episode because at most it's just him being bottom b***hed down at by Alastor). Even Angel Dust gets tossed to the side after episode 4. No really. Count how much actual screen time and more development he gets after. Episode 6 is just him not only toned down but even his scene with Val wasn't as tense as you want it to be. It's just him getting threatened with doing more work. Especially after the dude made a big display about how he doesn't take even less than the crying b***h stuff from his workers.
If this was spread out by 12 episodes you'd have more room to flex.

Like as not his act of genuine sacrifice allowed him to rematerialize in heaven rather than hell. It was implied in episode 2 that normally when a sinner is ripped to pieces they will pull themselves back together over a matter of time but since Pentious was vaporized by Adams light he had to completely respawn and his sacrifice granted him entry to heaven. If the writers care to expand upon this hopefully Adam can respawn in hell but that's copium from me.
Why did they split up this duo already in season 1? So weird, it's like the director wanted to up the stakes but these two were barely in the show in the first place for it to have any impact, let alone register as something that happened.
Desperately needs like 3x the episode count and villains that don't overshadow the main cast as brutally. Show would unironically be better if Adam and lute were less likeable.

Considering Overlords can do actual demon magic....AND are cruel, violent psychos....it's really hard to imagine no Angels had been killed before this. Adam is the only one who can kick most of Hell's ass.
To be fair, the exterminations haven't been going on for very long, but yeah there's really no in-universe explanation as to why they've been so successful with the exterminations. Lucifer or someone had to have started a massive fear/panic of it in order to freak sinners out enough to make them either hide or not fight back each time.
Eh could make sense with overlords not wanting to risk it. Plus angelic weapons seem to hard counter overlord hax like what happened to Alastor as Adam just one punched his shield and shut off his powers after landing a hit.

There was no real redemption system before Adam’s death. Only after he died, could they be forgiven for their sins. Making Sir Pentious the first sinner in heaven.
That’s why Vivziepop did her job to reveal and hint towards the truth of Adam’s character and have him die in Season 1, so Charlie’s redemption system can work in S2 and S3, with the truth being revealed in season 2, for Adam to reunite with Lute again.

If I have ONE major gripe is that...yes they were on a tight episode schedule, It's not the "time skips" that bother me, those are perfectly fine. But there were things and scenes they should've dragged out a bit more. Yes Pentious being gibbed by Adam in like 5 frames was funny, but it would've had more weight if we'd seen Pentiou's expression as he's being vaporized or him throwing one of his eggboys out of the ship before it is hit "saving them" a bit more in certain scenes would've gone a long way.

This show has some of the worst pacing I've ever seen. They really should have just banked on getting a second season. I feel like I skipped 75% of the show the way these musical numbers between characters pop up or reprises of shit that happened like thirty minutes ago.
HH is a show where the antagonists (Adam and Lute) are the true main characters and are the true heroes trying to save the sinners, while Charlie and co. are messing with a system that only Adam and Lute understand (sin can only be redeemed by sacrifices) and flimsily try to do it by works, since Heaven themselves thinks that’s how a sinner can be redeemed.
So if you only looked at Adam and Lute, and ignored the distractions, you would understand how the redemption system actually works and see them make the true progresses in the story of S1.
So Viv’s best characters and storyline is literally hidden in episodes 1, 6, and 8, only in the Adam and Lute scenes, since everything else literally doesn’t fricking work.

It's the issue of having only 8 episodes and no real build up other than a fast sped up one.
Husk gets focus in one and a half episodes (5 counts as HALF an episode because at most it's just him being bottom b***hed down at by Alastor). Even Angel Dust gets tossed to the side after episode 4. No really. Count how much actual screen time and more development he gets after. Episode 6 is just him not only toned down but even his scene with Val wasn't as tense as you want it to be. It's just him getting threatened with doing more work. Especially after the dude made a big display about how he doesn't take even less than the crying b***h stuff from his workers.
If this was spread out by 12 episodes you'd have more room to flex.

Like as not his act of genuine sacrifice allowed him to rematerialize in heaven rather than hell. It was implied in episode 2 that normally when a sinner is ripped to pieces they will pull themselves back together over a matter of time but since Pentious was vaporized by Adams light he had to completely respawn and his sacrifice granted him entry to heaven. If the writers care to expand upon this hopefully Adam can respawn in hell but that's copium from me.

Why does heaven give a frick about the population in hell, is the show implying that a bunch of mortals can literally challenge beings who created existence? The creation-level angels should have absolutely nothing to worry about, and it doesn't make sense for it to be a space issue because anything that could create a universe could create infinite space to store souls in. None of the sinners would even have any reason to rise up against heaven if they weren't attacking them anyway.
That has been a head scratcher from the start.

Ignoring the exterminations we would need to know that 1) being in Heaven can be harmed and 2) that being in Hell can gain access to Heaven.
Heaven itself provided the means for Hell to harm Heaven. Heaven provides targets annually, too.
As long as there is no way for Hell to gain access to Heaven that they didn't provide themselves, Heaven is secure.

To be fair, the exterminations haven't been going on for very long, but yeah there's really no in-universe explanation as to why they've been so successful with the exterminations. Lucifer or someone had to have started a massive fear/panic of it in order to freak sinners out enough to make them either hide or not fight back each time.
Yeah, even putting the Vaggie thing aside, showing Lute being buried by falling debris was really dumb in my opinion.

We just lost a huge chunk of of the narrative in general between Lucifer, Lilith, Adam and Eve with one of the main components cut off. They might address it in season 2 I doubt it'll get anymore but it's unlikely that it'll be given any proper consideration with what happened between the four and the impact it had on all of humanity/earth

Lucifer taunted Adam by saying that his first wife liked what he had to offer, and the second (with the cunnilingus V and hip-thrusting fricking motions). But the second wife Eve is who he gave the apple to, and the first wife Lilith is who he fricked.

And how much of a piece of prideful shit Lucifer is when he goes off on taking Adam’s wives away from him, showing us that Lucifer always deserved to be in Hell.
