The best episodes of Cow and Chicken are the ones that are less cliche/stock (Chicken dealing with a school bully, Cow wanting to be with a cute boy from class, Cow being stuck on the roof, Chicken being addidcted to caffiene, pretending to be sick from school, school play episode, Cow dealing with a monster in her closet etc..) and are instead much more batshit crazy and over the top (Chewing Gum Seal, Sailcat, Sergerant Weenie Arms, Sailcat, Red Guy buying Cow and Chicken from a store and using them as everyday appliances, Cow's toys coming to life to find their owner "Maiden Chyna", Cow Tongue, Chicken participating in a plastic surgeon compitetion) etc..
Weasel only had 78 7-minutes episodes, which is roughly 26 half hours. A shame it didn't have more since each episode are the characters in a different job/role, so it could have go on for many years since its so versatile.
Later KoTH goes against everything the show had set up. Treating the south in earnest? Well here's Lucky, your new moron hillbilly character. Luanne's dad worked on an oil rig? No he was just always in jail. Peggy was a dumb teacher who couldn't spanish? Now she sells houses. Cotton and Peggy had this relatively nice episode about him getting a grave plot? Nah now he wants his ashes in a toilet. Also have him go out being a dick to Hank despite any prior development.
People like to say KoTH didn't really go downhill that much before it ended but it really did. The seasonal rot just took a different direction than most.
