Anyone else thinking Boskov getting hurt is too much? Hector is the only who controls him, he can't do anything.
I guess it's supposed to be slapstick and nothing else but yeah, he's usually more or less innocent. I think the humor would work better if the brain was getting pummeled while Boskov just sits around unharmed doing something dumb.
It's a metaphor for edgy shows being "out" in the 2000s, if the last line didn't tip you off.
