Hypothetically speaking, what would the success of Checkered Past bring? More shows on the block? Half hearted reboots? Full hearted reboots?
Also, I have a second question I like asking people: Imagine they brought Dexter's Lab back for more episodes, and they tried their hardest to make it written like the classic episodes, but with modern issues (AI, smartphones, social media, ect), do you think it could be a good revival?
>Please just use your heart in making something new so that we can call it shit and keep watching old stuff
Unfortunately, its easier to dig your hands in a pre-existing toy box when it comes to creating media. That said, I don't think we should turn our noses up at good media even if its just a reboot/revival.
Genndy definitively does not want any more Dexter made, especially due to Christine Cavanaugh's passing.
Maxwell Atoms DOES want to make a Billy and Mandy movie but apparently there's bad blood between him and Michael Ouwelleen so I'm shocked it's actually airing on Checkered Past.
Dilworth's apparently insane so dunno if anyone wants to work with him on a Courage reboot.
The Eds could come back, I guess, but I don't see that being Adult Swim material. Maybe a new Antonnucci show?
When Clarence's creator was hospitalized for the mental breakdown where he was groping co-workers, someone on Cartoon Brew commented that there was another CN creator who made a show not at the main studio who was severely bipolar and everyone felt bad for. From the timeline it was either Eds or Courage and people generally assumed Courage given how much shorter it lasted.
>Dilworth's apparently insane so dunno if anyone wants to work with him on a Courage reboot.
My favorite ones are always insane. I think you have to be crazy to make 2D cartoons, so it checks out.
The entire selling point of Checkered Past is that Adult Swim can air shows that have already been paid for to an audience that will react online with "yup, don't make em like this anymore".
Unfortunately that's exactly what it is, and honestly I don't really want to see anything remade after the disastrous reboot of Clone High. >Courage the Cowardly Dog! With his new neighbor, Token Black Girl! (also the Indian Doctor, Gypsy Chihuahua, and Chinese guy are all racist so they won't be around)
>Cow and Chicken, but it’ll never happen.
Why are they so hellbent on ignoring it? It can't be because of the content considering that Billy & Mandy got away with worse, and PPG has Him as an antagonist, so Red Guy isn't the problem.
I want them to keep airing Billy and Mandy until there's enough support to justify the Destroy Us All movie getting made.

Why can't we just reboot it and not make it shit? Like, why can't we hire people, tell them "Study this, write it like it was in the 90s. No politics", and let them go?
Because they'll get mainstream press from hack journalists claiming CN is an oppressive environment that doesn't allow polyamorous families in Ben 10 or whatever the frick
But why can't we just fricking ignore them? Who cares about journalists writing their autofelating articles? Seriously, I'm trying to make 3D cartoons, and I'm fully prepaired to tell people to just frick off if they don't like it. Why can't more established people do this?

No idea, but I'm only a little bit optimistic that i'll be successful. That sounds horrible, but I'm typically never optimistic about Cartoon Network endeavors, so you know. Checkered Past is doing pretty good in my eyes.
What's the point of watching a television nostalgia block with rarely aired shows if you're just ultimately watching the shows on a computer screen anyway.
It was this image alone that first started it all
And then I got weird looks when I did the "YAAAAYY!!!" & "BOOOOOO!!!" when something amazing happened & it promptly went away.
Is there a single My Adventures With Superman promo in which Superman doesn't come off like a gay? I know they can only do so much with the source material, but goddamn if this ain't a Pride special.
>Tfw mooned some kid and my mom blamed the show for my actions and said I can't watch it since I was under the TV-7 Rating >Second I hit 7 I told my mom i'm old enough to watch the show and she reluctantly agreed
That's true, blame mom's for trying to cancel everything. Now their kids can't handle shit but for the opposite reason kek

Or hypothetical have their 15 year old still take swim classes with the little kids. When he ranks on his swim teams, because god forbid he watches cartoons during the off seasons.

Or making them play educational video games that a child could beat.
How do you think moms like that come into being?

Idk but hope they aren't a teacher and ruin cartoons not just for yo, but the whole school. Because you've never been bullied until kids of all ages want to beat your ass at all times.

Are they more or less annoying than the karens of today?

Probably better because they have more pull and ability to get things and people cancelled now. Actors and shows get cancelled at all the time now also people actually listen to them, back then people saw them as the prudish annoying house wife.

True it's funny how they are on both sides of the aisles. Some hate too provacative stuff others feel shows should have more provacative or stuff to validate them. In the end they are the same sides of insufferable and like the bleach enemas will do everything to harm their kids either mentally, socially, or physically.
really? I hate sarah way more she's way more aggressive and most of the time in the wrong. Dee Dee pisses me off too but at least she cares about dexter but she never gets her comeuppance. Really I was watching drake and josh recently and realized what was with the late 90s to now with bratty sisters not getting punished or being invincible. Always sucks when a character is untouchable in a series
Yeah it fricking sucks because I loved boo haw haw. And I just want to own all the series on dvd, it's why I bought the courage and adventure time box sets. When I heard there was an EENE box set I got excited before watching a video on it.
Menus are also soulless but that's to be expected.
>Menus are also soulless >Tfw well never have the 2000's DVD menu's >Shit is going on in the background >You could fall asleep with the menu on and wake up in the middle of the night to the characters talking
Not related to CN but more warner home video but I loved how movie dvds would have animated menus and shit (thir13en ghosts having sliding glass doors and scenes from the film and ghost ship having a shot over the ruined antionio graza) it was the coolest shit to me.
How old are the EEnE kids supposed to be?
Most of them seem around 8-10, but Rolf and Ed both seem like teenagers and Jimmy seems too young to have such invasive headgear.
Middle School in the US can vary, some places start at 6th grade, others at 7th, but in either case 12 would be the youngest age for somebody in middle school.
Kids are all tweenagers, except Jimmy and Sarah, who are a couple years younger than the rest of them. I belief the other Cul-de-sac kids are all in the same class as the Eds, so are roughly of age, probably like 13.
Wasn't Rolf supposed to be "vague foreigner" the creator said he was supposed to be Eastern European but he always came off as pastoral South American to me
I think he is definitely intended to be European. He even comes from "The Old Country."
However, his accent and background are so vague that he could conceivably be from any country outside the US, even Canada.
>"Hey so we're gonna turn this building into a parking lot, how do we make up for this shit?" >"Just make Adult Swim start in the afternoon, that'll shut those manchildren up!"
>What the frick was Torinnucci thinking?
Lore wise, Edd shouldn't have beaten Captain Ginyu. Plot wise, it was important for Ginyu to learn that swapping your mind with a moron doesn't give you moron strength. Its your mind your swapping, so you just put a moron into the body of a buff purple alien. Critical misplay.
>Dexter
Makes sense since it was their first original cartoon cartoon >Ed Edd n Eddy
Was the longest running CN show until TTG >Billy and Mandy
Was popular in the 00s >Courage
I got nothing
Courage is one fo the most popular CN shows overseas alongside Cow & Chicken for some reason, Johnny Bravo is the most popular CN show in India to the point they made a shitty ass poorly animated Johnny Bravo movie for that country
The guy in charge of Adult Swim just likes Courage and Dexter the most if his latest interview is anything to go by: >"Cartoon Network's earliest cartoons like Courage The Cowardly and Dexter's Lab appeal to both adults and kids, the newer CN shows do not"
Its staggering how Ed, Edd n Eddy just blows every show on this block in terms of animation, music and voicework. Everything about the show is so memorable.
actually sounds about right crazy, but i feel that's a bit terrifying as imagine becoming self aware then being sent back to npc awareness. It'd frick with you for ever
Manholes aren't just holes in the ground, they're part of the sewer system. In many places they're not that deep, but it can vary depending on how deeply the sewer is buried, since they are intended as access points for maintenance.
There's just more to talk about the Eds because it was a tour de force of art, animation and sound design whereas B&M was really inconsistent and kind of boring early on and isn't as visually interesting.
>TFW this made you match up the CN characters who were going to be on a dancing date for the night >TFW this was many people's first exposure to character shipping
>hateful fart cartoon got 4 million views in its heyday >Adventure Time hit 3 million a handful of times >nothing will ever do this well again on cable or streaming
>Adventure Time hit 3 million a handful of times >nothing will ever do this well again on cable or streaming
That's why the Hateful Fart Cartoon ruined the network. Demoralized the viewers from its presence.
It's still weird to me that there was a pilot for a CN based on my shitty hometown. It came in last place in the cartoon cartoon contest and got beat out by KND, but it's funny to think that this could've been on TV.
KND winning that remains the biggest horseshit in the network's history
Literally any of the pilots would have been better and that destroyed CN forever
I think that anon was referring to anti gamer gaters , and I'd actually believe it
Fricking twats were so high on their own shit for the longest time that it became like an opioid to them
>Remember back in the day when the worst thing in a cartoon was that Fred was annoying?
No because frick you. Fredburger is the only israelite I like, and that's because he's adorable.
It reminds me of adult cartoons where they can't take their plot too seriously so they interject some mindless disconnected comedy every few minutes, like the Thanksgiving episode of Family Guy about Kevin going AWOL. Obviously less of an issue though since both parts of this episode are comedy.
They were right, I did need to take a pee break. I also needed to put rogaine on my scalp because im a balding 24 year old.
I didn't think it'd come to this as a kid.
Courage never got bad but it feels like they did everything they could have in the first season and the later seasons couldn't live up to it also Eustace VA dying took a lot of soul from it
I get it now, all of those people answering "yes" to anons asking more than one question were referencing Fred Fredburger. No one realizes how much of an impact he made on themselves.
He wasn't given it. He took it. He walked up and said "Yes", and snatched the power. He didn't even run out, he walked to the elevator, and told me he didn't know how to work it, so I pushed the buttons for him.
A lot of comic relief characters are like this. You can't just make Uncle Ruckus the star of the show and expect him to be as funny as he was when he was a supporting character.
>YOU DONT UNDERSTAND MILLIE, THIS GOETIALS ARE BENT ON DOMINATING HELL >AND THEY WILL DESTROY US ALL TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN! >DESTROY US ALL! >DESTROY US ALL! >DESTROY >US >ALL
I wonder if they made 2 versions before getting the go-ahead and both just ended up in rotation, because if they didn't get a go-ahead they'd have been fricked from day 1 and taken care of it already.
Is it? I thought it was like when people distance themselves from others out of anger or annoyance. Like when a kid breaks a vase, and the mother says to the father "You really should talk to that son of yours" instead of "You should talk to our son".
Katz had such a fire theme
Man, do cartoons even have OSTs anymore? Seems like they have some barely audible background music that was done by an intern
Why would they? These days a character would just look that shit up on their phone. Hell Courage already does that in a way cause of his reliance on the computer in the attic
Fricking furries already bought them all. Seriously, look at the replies on Hefty's initial tweet, it's 90% furgays, and they've been sold out ever since.
They should really have this block start an hour later and be three hours long but man it’s great seeing these back on the air.
Also why did Cartoon Network stop sourcing work out to these studios/animators? I was always surprised they never did another series with the people who made Ed Edd N Eddy.
Too expensive and Danny was way too much of a perfectionist and stubborn to use digital aspects so they never bother to commission another show from them
the price. back in the 00s it was not mandatory to have health care and other shit for everyone. when you add up all the benefits per hour some americans are getting like 100-150usd an hour. and traditional animation even as barebones are this takes fricking forever
I can relate. If someone ever breaks into my house and tries to murder me I probably couldnt even tell the cops because im too scared of saying the wrong thing
idk why but both the hero and villian trying to save the heroine is hilarious. Also wish the fox showed up more he had a funny dynamic with courage. He's basically the reverse Cat's more comical and less intimidating but still a threat
Katz and the Fox should've teamed up and tried to frick each other over. Would've fixed the "too similar to Katz" problem for never being used again if they're actually used together.
Another different styled episodes would work, too. Katz having the slow and horrific episodes and Fox having more wild and cartoony/adventurous episodes. I think that would have been fine for children, and the two characters wouldn't step on each others toes.
Basally, like Daffy and Bugs. They can be similar (they liked to annoy their foe), but they felt and looked different.
that'd actually be fun, a suave cunning sociopath and a cajun impulsive silly villian. Having them work together to stop courage then end up fighting to the finish and accidently letting courage the time to escape and beat them
i thought until now that liverspots were actually on the liver
There aren't that many Luanne episodes tonight to help you out.
outside of her breasts what does she have going on? her small eyes are signs of FAS. you know for damn sure there was no way in hell that her mom did not stay sober for 9 months
No, not that, I mean Post revival Toonami. Toonami went from weekday afternoons, to Saturady nights then canceled then brought back on even later saturday nights
Even though I was there I still think it's crazy that there was a time where Adult Swim didn't even air one day of the week

Thank you checkerboard chads, I love having positivity and actual discussion for once
More or less. If you want to see what a modern day nerd clique would be like, just look on Discord servers. Lots and lots of furries now too. My sister got involved in a nerd clique around 2017 and she's been furrying it up and I feel my soul die every day. She even has a tail. This is the real reason I'm nostalgic for the time period(s) Checkered Past is showing, I didn't have to worry about this shit back then, it was more niche. I didn't know it existed.
Were those 40 anons actually watching the block in any way that mattered or shitposting and/or whining about being too moronic to know how to use a VLC stream?
>Another episode where Bobby tries to branch out and the Hank freaks out and the people Bobby is involved with are revealed to not be good people to validate Hank and for Bobby to go back as some fat loser.
KotH kinda sucked in this regard.

The funny kind or the sad kind?
Sad kind.

My favorite ones are always insane. I think you have to be crazy to make 2D cartoons, so it checks out.
If all this leads to the billy and mandy movie then it would all be worth it
Cartoon Cartoons
I'm pretty sure a few episodes of Dexter already deal with rogue AIs, but seeing Dexter try his own spin on smartphones could be good for a laugh
The entire selling point of Checkered Past is that Adult Swim can air shows that have already been paid for to an audience that will react online with "yup, don't make em like this anymore".
That's true, but I'd like it if the block could be a little more than the equivalent of twitter circle jerking.

They might not want Foster's associated with AS since it's about to be rebooted for preschoolers
>it's about to be rebooted for preschoolers
It's what
Robot Jones with the original microsoft voices. An impossible dream.
Cow and Chicken, but it’ll never happen.
They didn’t. It got blacked out today.
It's blacked out in some bumps, but not others.
>Cow and Chicken, but it’ll never happen.

Why can't we just reboot it and not make it shit? Like, why can't we hire people, tell them "Study this, write it like it was in the 90s. No politics", and let them go?
Because life's unfair. Now go fight a bat so we can watch TV.

But why can't we just fricking ignore them? Who cares about journalists writing their autofelating articles? Seriously, I'm trying to make 3D cartoons, and I'm fully prepaired to tell people to just frick off if they don't like it. Why can't more established people do this?

or, y'know, the Dexter revival under Savino from the early 2000s
SWAT Kats
2 Stupid Dogs
Camp Lazlo or Flapjack
I like the world of Flapjack. I thought the concept of "sailing to find a candy island" would make for a fun game.
I could see it, too bad we'll probably not even see a full series box set for it. Same with chowder (correct me if I'm wrong)
It's time to apologize
Frick Cartoon Planet. Those morons lost the plot completely when they started showing Annoying Orange

time traveling here to see why my wife mandy's show was so popular. we met ten years after the events in her show
So how long do you think this Checkered Past thing is going to last?
They love repeating animation in these bumpers
it'll end before 2024 does.
Indefinitely. Cartoon Network has no use for these timeslots and [as] can't show their usual programming this early.
2 years, they'll eventually thrown in vintage AS to try and lengthen it
What Checkered Past needs is an original cartoon made by people with real history with Cartoon Network. Either that, or a new cartoon that feels like classic cartoons.
So, an EEnE revival, or a new cartoon like EEnE would be its best option IMO.
>an original cartoon made by people with real history with Cartoon Network
Like Butch Hartman!
>Like Butch Hartman!
AAAAUGH
What do you mean? He storyboarded this very episode!
You know I'm the "I self inserted as Dexter when I was a child" anon, right? If anything reading that sentence is only driving me further to suicide.
That would defeat the purpose of the block.
I don't think a revival would since it would be more episodes of a show from the past. I think a brand new cartoon would, but if done well, no one would care since it would feel like it doesn't. If the audience goes "Wow, this show is JUST like a show from the 90s!" then it wouldn't matter that its not. And anyone who cares that its not would be called a purist and a homosexual.
Seth MacFarlane toons are perfect for this block since he's a CN veteran with historic connections
I think I'd actually trust McFarlane more than Butch Hartman. Seth doesn't seem full of himself like Hartman, but maybe I haven't seen enough of Seth making an ass of himself.
Seth is funny when he's not trying to be political. He's also unironically one of the best voice actors in the industry.
They'd have to let him go all-in on his love of 80's pop culture, though. If they try to force him to make something "current" it'll be dreck.
AS wouldn't be able to afford him. He's worth too much now.
They are airing his show American Dad right now, it would be a perfect fit for Checkered Past as it has connection and is from the same era
>Either that, or a new cartoon that feels like classic cartoons.
3 Dog Band, right here!
Yes, but unironically. That could work perfectly if we get writers who aren't homosexuals ideologues who think they have to spread THE MESSAGE instead of making a cartoon.
No idea, but I'm only a little bit optimistic that i'll be successful. That sounds horrible, but I'm typically never optimistic about Cartoon Network endeavors, so you know. Checkered Past is doing pretty good in my eyes.
Also, I like the bumpers.
Dial n for _
Post your watchstations.
What's the point of watching a television nostalgia block with rarely aired shows if you're just ultimately watching the shows on a computer screen anyway.
For the Cinemaphile threads.
I need to dig up one of the old crt televisions and put this block on one day
Why is Dexter dancing in the Columbine cafeteria
It was the 90's.
Who would win?
mojo jojo
Ant tier image
It was this image alone that first started it all
And then I got weird looks when I did the "YAAAAYY!!!" & "BOOOOOO!!!" when something amazing happened & it promptly went away.
Why don't they make shows like this anymore?
Millennials have to funnel depressing cartoons about the power of queer love to them
Like what was the fricking point of Steven Universe?
amazing sound design
>COOKIES OM NOM NOM OM NOM NOM
Who fricking eats like that you dirty prostitute
cookie monster eats like that
or seth
with these spikey [father's golf shoes] anything is possible!
I fricking hate Dee Dee so much, my god, just looking at her face raises my blood pressure.
based, though i feel in this ep she was at her best actually caring for her brother. In most of the other eps she really fricks him
i hate ants
Did you know they're mostly female?
all i know is they don't respect laws against home invasions
>dee dee just leaves
what a c**t
Why didn't the shrink ray make Dexter moronic like in yesterday's episode?
Chris savino stole that joke
I know ants are related to bees, but are the workers female, too?
Yes, ants are almost 100% female. Males only hatch from unfertilized eggs.
What’s up with the aspect ratio on these episodes? Can’t tell if they’re stretched or cropped but either way it looks like shit.
They stopped doing the split screen credits at this point?
Ants are gay.
Sonic Adventure 2 energy from that outro pic.
That sentence only makes me like the outro more.
DEEDEE NO
Is there a single My Adventures With Superman promo in which Superman doesn't come off like a gay? I know they can only do so much with the source material, but goddamn if this ain't a Pride special.
No, he's pretty homosexual 24/7.
i wish they had kept it a cartoon network show, it's so jarring seeing it among the [as] lineup
>Is there a single My Adventures With Superman promo in which Superman doesn't come off like a gay?
What's tomorrow's schedule?
>Dexter's a cookie
>Ed in a monster suit
>Alien invaders in Endsville
>Cat and Rabbit lesbians
My parents prohibited me from watching EEnE as a kid.
Major L, my parent's watched it with me and my siblings.
Agreed, my parents don't mind it too.
On their death beds just dump an entire bag of jawbreakers & demand they pay you quarters for them.
>Tfw mooned some kid and my mom blamed the show for my actions and said I can't watch it since I was under the TV-7 Rating
>Second I hit 7 I told my mom i'm old enough to watch the show and she reluctantly agreed
God 90s soccer moms were fricking insufferable.
90s soccer moms raised internet schizos and twitter tards
God this generation is full of pussies.
That's true, blame mom's for trying to cancel everything. Now their kids can't handle shit but for the opposite reason kek
Like they were the kind of moms who had their kids wearing life preservers to the pool well into their teens.
These same b***hes who don't vaccinate their kids, think autism can be cured with a bleach enema, and all that other bullshit.
True it's funny how they are on both sides of the aisles. Some hate too provacative stuff others feel shows should have more provacative or stuff to validate them. In the end they are the same sides of insufferable and like the bleach enemas will do everything to harm their kids either mentally, socially, or physically.
Your parents suck and have the blood of fun kids cartoons on their hands
Hi
Sup Zoe
>you now remember when this episode cameo'd on "The Kid".
Well Cinemaphile? Snack me!
Well, I tried my hardest. Look, you should know better than to ask for food on Cinemaphile.
I never really appreciated how fluid EEnE’s animation was for its time until I got older…no wonder it’s part of why it’s so popular!
Hard to believe Toulouse Lautrec got a reference in two different cartoons of the same decade.
>Fingerpaint me to death?
>It's a Sarah being a bratty c**t episode.
Pass.
For some reason, Sara doesn't boil my blood like Dee Dee does.
Dexter is more sympathetic than the Eds.
>Dexter is more sympathetic than Eddy.
FTFY
Always sucks when a character is untouchable in a series
you must pass on like half the series lol, but yeah she sucks when she unjustifiable fricks with the eds
That's every episode
>That episode where Ed had a pebble in his shoe
>"I LIVE HERE TOO ED!"
>"THEN MOVE!"
Even Sarah backed the frick off after that
That lines still goes hard after all these years. That shit hit me like they hit Nagasaki when I was a child.
Scene was shocking when you first saw it. That was the first time you saw Ed tell her to frick off.
Best Ep! lowkey proves that she knows if Ed wasn't a sweetheart he'd obliterate her little ass.
no lie weird how sarah was just allowed to tell Ed, and his friends they couldn't eat the food and lock them out.
Also not like the eds were actively oppin this ep they were really just grabbing some snacks.
You didn't know any kids with a family like that? Where the youngest can get away with anything.
>Eddy, I think my leg's asleep
>Your head's asleep, Ed
lmbo
>No holiday specials
>No big picture show
>Calling it "The complete series"
What the frick were they on when they made this?
HRT
I believe it
>No holiday specials
I can understand no Movie
but leaving out the specials seems beyond stupid
Yeah it fricking sucks because I loved boo haw haw. And I just want to own all the series on dvd, it's why I bought the courage and adventure time box sets. When I heard there was an EENE box set I got excited before watching a video on it.
Menus are also soulless but that's to be expected.
>Menus are also soulless
>Tfw well never have the 2000's DVD menu's
>Shit is going on in the background
>You could fall asleep with the menu on and wake up in the middle of the night to the characters talking
Not related to CN but more warner home video but I loved how movie dvds would have animated menus and shit (thir13en ghosts having sliding glass doors and scenes from the film and ghost ship having a shot over the ruined antionio graza) it was the coolest shit to me.
These are the episodes of EEnE I like the most.
>we could just go to our house, Eddy
>what, and ruin the plot?
hahaha
How old are the EEnE kids supposed to be?
Most of them seem around 8-10, but Rolf and Ed both seem like teenagers and Jimmy seems too young to have such invasive headgear.
The later seasons show them in middle school, so probably around 12 to 13.
Is it middle school? I guess that makes sense.
It's been so long since I saw those episodes that I thought it was elementary school.
In the cheerleading episode, Sarah namedrops the school as "Peach Creek Junior High".
Middle School in the US can vary, some places start at 6th grade, others at 7th, but in either case 12 would be the youngest age for somebody in middle school.
>12 would be the youngest age for somebody in middle school.
6th graders are usually 11 though.
Kids are all tweenagers, except Jimmy and Sarah, who are a couple years younger than the rest of them. I belief the other Cul-de-sac kids are all in the same class as the Eds, so are roughly of age, probably like 13.
Its fun watching these shows and catching stuff I didn't get as a kid. That Brando reference would've flown right over my head.
God how can it be this hard to make a quality show in this day and age?
Pretty hard, the current social climate coupled with other issues in the entertainment industry breeds and even rewards creative sterility.
More corners got cut, animation looks worse, and the people making them have no shred of creativity or talent. It's not possible anymore.
>Can simply go to Eddy's or Double D's house, but that'll end the story to quickly.
>Roff's voice wouldn't fly today
I hate our current hellscape
I think it's just eastern european accent
Wasn't Rolf supposed to be "vague foreigner" the creator said he was supposed to be Eastern European but he always came off as pastoral South American to me
I think he is definitely intended to be European. He even comes from "The Old Country."
However, his accent and background are so vague that he could conceivably be from any country outside the US, even Canada.
Rolf isn't black or asian, so it's okay.
>We had to DEVOUR THE CUCUMBER!
Ed Edd n Eddy takes place in the 70s
I always thought this show takes place in the 90's.
Is Ed watching historical footage of Rolf's grandma murdering people?
This show must have been a pain to animate since the characters are constantly moving
It was made back when cartoonists weren't pussies and actually got into animation (the industry) for animation (the medium).
I don't think they ever used digital either. It must have been one of the last cartoons that was all hand-drawn.
I believe the last seasons were digital
It was also the last show animated on cels up until 2004
It's how Antonucci demanded it.
I still can't believe the insane amount of luck he had, literally no one can touch his show without his permission
Going from interviews, he had a vision and absolutely needed it to be fulfilled without compromise.
Now imagine 90s Disney animation, where the inkers weren't allowed to have frames like E,EnE.
Courage never scared me and never will.
Courage and Goosebumps had me laying in bed with the covers pulled over my face from the age of 5 until the age of 17.
That little violin b***h in Courage can fricking blow me. Fricking butthole episode.
The only episodes that scared me was the RETURN THE SLAB one and the "You're not perfect" scene.
>"Hey so we're gonna turn this building into a parking lot, how do we make up for this shit?"
>"Just make Adult Swim start in the afternoon, that'll shut those manchildren up!"
This would imply they considered what manchildren say online in the first place.
In reality - they can sell AS ad time at higher rates than CN ad time since kids don't watch cable.
CN killed itself with endless TTG and Gumball reruns for a decade and no one cares it's dead
>How can my feet smell if they don't have a nose
I think about this line constantly
Hello light
Is this the episodes where the power-level of the Eds get out of control?
Nah, that started at the Namek saga. Shame, too. Power Levels were a really neat concept, and they just threw it away.
>When Edd just started beating the living shit outta the Ginyu force
What the frick was Torinnucci thinking?
>What the frick was Torinnucci thinking?
Lore wise, Edd shouldn't have beaten Captain Ginyu. Plot wise, it was important for Ginyu to learn that swapping your mind with a moron doesn't give you moron strength. Its your mind your swapping, so you just put a moron into the body of a buff purple alien. Critical misplay.
Hello light
>It's THAT episode.
>Dexter
Makes sense since it was their first original cartoon cartoon
>Ed Edd n Eddy
Was the longest running CN show until TTG
>Billy and Mandy
Was popular in the 00s
>Courage
I got nothing
No PPG, Johnny and Cow and Chicken is weird
Courage is one fo the most popular CN shows overseas alongside Cow & Chicken for some reason, Johnny Bravo is the most popular CN show in India to the point they made a shitty ass poorly animated Johnny Bravo movie for that country
The guy in charge of Adult Swim just likes Courage and Dexter the most if his latest interview is anything to go by:
>"Cartoon Network's earliest cartoons like Courage The Cowardly and Dexter's Lab appeal to both adults and kids, the newer CN shows do not"
YES MY FAVORITE EENE EPISODE
Oh it's the weird meta episode
Life has many doors, Ed boys!
>nobody has done a 3-headed version yet
Be the change you want to see.
Ew
Oh and it's nice making a pg 13 joke
To me, this was the most creative and interesting episode in the entire show.
Y'know, to this day I still wish I had a lava lamp.
I had one for years, you sort of forget it's there.
I had one as a kid, they got uncomfortably hot. Like burn your house down hot.
how else would they make lava?
I have one, but the bulb is dead.
you can just buy one you know
The end credits to Goosebumps always reminded me of lava lamps.
If this is the peak of this show then this garbage sucks ass lmao
PG-13!
>That's my mom's, Eddy
>And?
Eddy isn't a milf guy.
frilly things!
Its staggering how Ed, Edd n Eddy just blows every show on this block in terms of animation, music and voicework. Everything about the show is so memorable.
The Eds getting educated theme song
Watching EE&E again for the first time in like a decade makes me remember that despite loving clips and quotes I don't really like the show itself
>Ed, Edd, and Eddy have fully harnessed the Toonforce.
>Did ya see anything?
I like that despite the fact they hate the Kankers he was still interested in female nudity.
He had porn mags in his room
The second they take Jimmy's outline honestly as a kid my mind was blown.
I personally loved it when Eddy was able to separate from his run cycle and give it to Sarah.
HE SAID THE THING! ROLF SAID THE THING!
This episode was the first time I ever noticed that animated characters have black outlines.
Same honestly
Me too. It had to be explained to me that characters have outlines so that color can be placed on them. I even asked "so do outlines have outlines"?
Who can defeat the Eds when they activate their meta reality warping powers?
Now Eddy's thinking with portals!
Did you guys know this show takes place in purgatory
:O
>Did ya see anything
They literally frick you all the time Eddy
>They literally frick you all the time Eddy
They literally kiss him all the time. I think if Eddy was actually getting a crumb of vegana, we'd know.
Eddy's favorite game
>Eddy in 2023 has started a WEG using shitty AI art
Imagine a modern reboot where Eddy is getting into shit like Crypto and telemarketing
Now you're thinking with portals
you guys think the actual quote should’ve been used during the scene itself?
OMG PORTAL 2 REFERENCE
>Good thing you're housebroken
Everything that comes out of Eddy's mouth is gold
>SCRUB MY FEET
Always wondered what was going on in this ep
The Eds took a batch of LSD and they're tripping balls.
I know that's what it has to be, but was their an in canon explanation for how they went to that warped reality
I think they legit achieved self-awareness of their universe and shit just got out of hand
actually sounds about right crazy, but i feel that's a bit terrifying as imagine becoming self aware then being sent back to npc awareness. It'd frick with you for ever
>the bantz between Ed and Double D in this episode
Man I can see how the fujos latched onto them
How can you not see dorks, Kevin? They're right in your frickin eye!
That ending with the hole always confused me as a kid.
Johnny camping alone with Nazz
BLACKED
What kind of manhole has all that a part of it?
Manholes aren't just holes in the ground, they're part of the sewer system. In many places they're not that deep, but it can vary depending on how deeply the sewer is buried, since they are intended as access points for maintenance.
There it is.
Poor Jimmy
>Can we all just get along?
Always hear Jimmy's voice with that phrase.
How does it feel the modern zoomer generation and all the shit you hate about them is because of these shows?
It just means the people who watched them were unable to grasp what made them great.
>We're in the repeating bumper era already
It's so fricking over
>Thread gets the most activity during the Eds and slows down during Billy and Mandy
/co/mblr is not partial to hateful fart cartoons
You sound like a pussy.
Cinemaphile fricking loves EEnE. It isn't a surprise.
Because B&M is legit horseshit and should be replaced with PPG
B&M is genuinely the only good cartoon out of these.
To be fair, it's the first Fred Fredburger episode.
There's just more to talk about the Eds because it was a tour de force of art, animation and sound design whereas B&M was really inconsistent and kind of boring early on and isn't as visually interesting.
>same fricking "donate to our tax writeoffs to FEED KIDS" twice an ad break
The hungry children should just feed off Zaslav's bloated corpse
Ok gays it's now time to choose your favorite Summer Resort episode
is it possible for them to air obscure pilots like prickles on this block?
Yes
Beg for them to do so, maybe they can have a friday night of solely pilots
For me, it's prickles
>TFW this made you match up the CN characters who were going to be on a dancing date for the night
>TFW this was many people's first exposure to character shipping
>1 in 7 kids lives in hunger
The just eat something, homie.
Tonight's memes so far:
Dexter's mom being hot for ruggedness/street walking scene with the crossovers
many doors yes
okay what is that plush on the entertainment center in the bumper? some blue M&M?
Oh no
>Keeper of the reaper
Oh boy
Are you ready for Freddy?
This was before they ran him into the ground and he was still really funny
Y E S
ENTER the worst character in Billy & Mandy!
>tfw still remember watching this episode at a friends out
Time for the hateful fart cartoon
You'll be okay, babe.
AW YEAH THE FIRST EPISODE OF REAL BILLY AND MANDY
>ruins your show
>also ruins your network
Also ruined comedy for about 5 years.
>NO NOSE NO NOSE
Was he supposed to be annoying on purpose before he was taken seriously as a breakout character by the network?
Yes. That's why he just had one episode and was used sparingly afterwards. I liked the setup he had in Underfist, though.
You think Maxwell has made dozens of drawing of this frick getting gruesomely tortured?
Was this an attempt of having a fricking Jar-Jar Binks in the Cartoon Cartoons world?
HEY WHAT FLAVOR IS THE BROWN ONE?
>Love this episode
>Hate Fred
Such a conflicting feeling
>fredfredburger episode
>I DO!
FRED FREDBURGER
I always related to fred because he's an oblivious loud autist and his nose looks like my dick
>Oh well, you're the judge.
>...
>What do you mean I'm the judge?!
>hateful fart cartoon got 4 million views in its heyday
>Adventure Time hit 3 million a handful of times
>nothing will ever do this well again on cable or streaming
Michael Ouwelleen on suicide watch
>Adventure Time hit 3 million a handful of times
>nothing will ever do this well again on cable or streaming
That's why the Hateful Fart Cartoon ruined the network. Demoralized the viewers from its presence.
How many views do you think Billy & Mandy would get if it premiered today?
I always liked how fred said "Who's house IS that" when we all could see it, and then "Who's house WAS that?" when it was offscreen.
There's these little quirks in the dialogue I like in that exact way too. It's a lot more funny when it feels natural like that.
Anon, I don't think you understand how boring utica is.
We get excited about a shitty beer and base our entire personality around it.
But Super Nintendo Chalmers is from there.
Still better than CalArts Time and Woken Universe and all that other zoomer shit.
Who the frick does Steven Universe even appeal to?
Twitter
I'm pretty sure Musk doesn't do Woke stuff.
Anti-#GG'ers
What?
Anti gamer gaters? Anti Black folk? I don't know, but I do know that Steven Universe is six million times worse than Fred Fredburger ever will be.
I think that anon was referring to anti gamer gaters , and I'd actually believe it
Fricking twats were so high on their own shit for the longest time that it became like an opioid to them
Yup. Even the worst episodes of this is better than the "best" of those shows.
THATS THE FINGER SHAKE SOUND I LIKE
I remember I had a autistic kid in my class that acted like Fred
>Cuz if he looked like you, he'd be PRETTY!
>He better look like me, because if he look like you, HE'D BE PRETTY!?
I LIKE MUSIC THAT GOES LIKE THIS...
Reminds me that this block should play those old music videos. They did for that 30th Anniversary stream
I'M NOT COMIN' IN, ANYMORE!
Can't believe they're airing the first FredFredburger episode, Eris has a cameo on this one, too bad is her shit design
Fredfredkino
Reminder that this was going to be a thing
I would've ripped my eyes and ears out watching this.
This would've been the funniest thing I ever saw as a kid and something I'd never want to ever think about again as an adult.
>we never find the time in our schedules to get it made
Translation: we would rather chop off our hands than make it happen
Kid me would've gone crazy for it.
Remember back in the day when the worst thing in a cartoon was that Fred was annoying?
Maybe that's what they meant by a more innocent time...
>Remember back in the day when the worst thing in a cartoon was that Fred was annoying?
No because frick you. Fredburger is the only israelite I like, and that's because he's adorable.
No one predicted the quality would go that deep in the gutter. It was inconceivable.
Unironically, who do you think Grim should have been with if Billy actually moved?
Mandy was the one who tricked Grim in the first place.
Billy because mandy would use him for Evil without Billy subtly keeping her in line.
Mandy with sole custody of Grim would destroy the world, so the answer depends on how funny that would be.
Honestly, the deal was that Grim be best friends to both of them. Since he can't, because of the move, the original deal is null and void.
Billy, he treats Grim sort of nicely while Mandy uses him as a maid
Its refreshing hearing Horvitz voicing someone who isn't a gay red midget.
Has he ever voiced a character with the voice he uses for Billy?
Dr. Tabasco Sr.
IT'S "CHIPOTLE"!!!
All his characters have the same voice.
>If they ever brought B&M back Erwin's VA will have to be replaced
>VA regrets the role nowadays anyways
Good decision not bringing it back
Most of the voice actors are dead, including Nergal, Boogey and Toadblatt.
>>If they ever brought B&M back Erwin's VA will have to be replaced
>>VA regrets the role nowadays anyways
homosexual, but I could do with Erwin not ending every sentence with "yo" personally.
>but I could do with Erwin not ending every sentence with "yo" personally.
Nah, that won't be the same character
>it's real
This fricking industry gets what it deserves
https://twitter.com/vanmarshall/status/1269525260702896128
I completely forgot how much screentime Fred Fredburger took up in this episode.
It reminds me of adult cartoons where they can't take their plot too seriously so they interject some mindless disconnected comedy every few minutes, like the Thanksgiving episode of Family Guy about Kevin going AWOL. Obviously less of an issue though since both parts of this episode are comedy.
>Don't worry, they won't hurt you
>... unless they decide to hurt you
Fred is great, frick you.
He's great in small doses. He became popular for a reason.
Definitely not as funny as I thought he was when I was a kid, though.

WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME??????
Scooby doo?
Has Maxwell Atoms ever drawn any Fredburger X Helluva Boss art? Seems like a perfect opportunity.
No, gross.
I wanna see Fredburger x Loona art.
Still gross.
>yesterday we got Freaky Fred
>today we got Fred Fredburger
Which Fred will we get tomorrow?
Fred Flintstone
That's also a Billy & Mandy episode.
that's Jake Steele
Didn't Dexter's lab made a reference it too?
I think all of the classic CN shows had occasional H-B references
They did, yeah.
They only stopped doing it when the executives decided they might actually want to do something with those characters.
George Jetson was in the beard episode.
>When you pull of a full meter Yabba Dabba Doo and win the match
Nothing feels quite like this
Is that an actual game? What does the meter do? Do you just yabba dabba do and win?
The frEd episode of Ed Edd n Eddy where this loser tries to hang out with the Eds, and he gets on their nerves.
>Episode is titled: "Ed, Edd FrED N Eddy.
oh yeah remember when eddy beat fred's b***h ass
You ARE taking the pee break, right Cinemaphile?
I'm a cute girl, I dont pee.
>cute girls don’t pee
I feel like I just found out Santa isn’t real
I unironically just did.
They were right, I did need to take a pee break. I also needed to put rogaine on my scalp because im a balding 24 year old.
I didn't think it'd come to this as a kid.
Now do you have to go poopoo?
>billy bumper didnt have an echoed billy voice saying
>BORED! BORED! BORED! BORED!
We should get the lineup that includes the CN Invaded episodes.
Alright everyone
Pick one
Monkey heads or Grim?
Which one wants a banana?
Monkey heads because I'd throw them on mandy, take grim and run out. And I'd tell Grim to do some underworld shit to get us out of there.
GIMMEE A BANANA
>I WANT YOU TO BE DEAD
>I WANT YOU TO BE DEAD
>monkey heads are a "tasty snack"
Has Billy and Mandy always been TV-PG?
It was Y7 back in the day along with Ed and Courage. (I think Dexter might've been G?)
I think Dexter got booted up to G, I remember it being Y7 when it was first around
No, that's just for [as]
Dexter was TV-G, Billy and Mandy was TV-Y7-FV.
Courage and EEnE were TV-Y7.
Though they changed the rating of Courage to TV-Y7-FV later on.
>Billy only hatched the egg
Cracked me up
courage > eee > dexter > b&m
there, i said it
does classic b&m get a boost?
Correct list. Everyone agree.
Courage never got bad but it feels like they did everything they could have in the first season and the later seasons couldn't live up to it also Eustace VA dying took a lot of soul from it
I remember feeling like they went in with more gross out gags in the later seasons and I wasn’t a fan of that.
Also Courage not talking. His one-liners were great
I disagree. I actually think the later seasons were more lighthearted.
>Ahnold
RIP Wiggy Jiggy Jed
All the VAs are killing it this episode
Agreed. B&M always had god-tier line deliveries.
yes
why the frick is scooby doo here
Mandy insulted him.
he's a character witness
Judge?
>Fricking Scooby
Fred is a good Dixie boy
Frick Mandy for life for making fun of Scooby.
JUDGE
Evil Con Carne on Checkered Past, everyone
at least it's best girl
We saw Scar yesterday.
to be fair he basically turned into a supporting character on B&M later on
jinkies
>that fricking horvitz honk
Good shit
This episode is fricking madness, why can't I remember this from my past?
Eris mentioned
Frick off Birchy
>Grim is the stain in my underwear
>Somehow I knew you were going to go there
It was nice to see Eris on TV again. I hope they show the episode where Billy's bouncin' on her and her boobs are swayin' back and forth.
I wish I was grimchair
I waited for this comment. I knew I'd see it.
Remember the deleted scene where Mandy’s parents made out in front of everyone?
Not at all
They show it in a later episode where Billy, Mandy and Erwin watch it on a cinema
>That guy that voted twice
I HAVE TO MAKE..
POOPOO
Fred is the original "yes" man when it comes to a choice.
That judge just wants to get the FRICK out of there. Also the octo-bird typing is cute.
>Yes
>THE NACHOS MADE MY POO POO REALLY STINKY
In retrospect, this show is as stupid as my parents thought it was
Grim & Evil era episodes didn't rely on grossout and were more horror focused, which is why they are the best.
Egoraptor humor.
It's probably dumber
I get it now, all of those people answering "yes" to anons asking more than one question were referencing Fred Fredburger. No one realizes how much of an impact he made on themselves.
Yes
>Yes
>Bump limit before Courage even airs
Record
The power of Fred
Keeper of the Reaper is a really good episode
Oh, that's good. It means there's real interest in Checkered Past. On Cinemaphile, at least. For some reason I was afraid no one would care about it.
With how much Cinemaphile shits on modern cartoons and praises the old ones, it's to be expected.
Uh, cartoonbros, I thought we hated Fred? Why was he given so much power?
He wasn't given it. He took it. He walked up and said "Yes", and snatched the power. He didn't even run out, he walked to the elevator, and told me he didn't know how to work it, so I pushed the buttons for him.
Ed, Edd and Eddy and Grim and Mandy fricking carry this block
I feel like Fredburger is more fun when people have to interact with him. When he's just sitting around and being annoying, he's just...annoying.
Fred with that blue guy is hilarious.
who even is the blue guy? Also feel bad for him seems like fred harasses him a lot based on how they interact
He's literally just some guy who had the misfortune to be seated next to Fred for jury duty.
Fred followed him home.
A lot of comic relief characters are like this. You can't just make Uncle Ruckus the star of the show and expect him to be as funny as he was when he was a supporting character.
>YOU DONT UNDERSTAND MILLIE, THIS GOETIALS ARE BENT ON DOMINATING HELL
>AND THEY WILL DESTROY US ALL TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN!
>DESTROY US ALL!
>DESTROY US ALL!
>DESTROY
>US
>ALL
I'll take the chicken
Thread going into auto sage before Courage
I swear billy being on house arrest is hilarous
someone start another thread with the banana dilworth
We have about a hour until archive so we should be good
God I wish I were him.
I can definitely see why Fred became to popular. The last bit of the episode was hysterical.
He's those types of annoying characters that characters in-universe find annoying and they usually land better with kids.
Who is ready for some Muriel boobage?
You KNOW poop is COMING
It's time for Courage!
damn they really did black out the n64 logo
Show me pics
this is with the logo
?si=weDOafLl-PfIO5AS&t=41
the blacked out one
?si=Yst9Yjn5Fu94Aasy&t=9
I wonder if they made 2 versions before getting the go-ahead and both just ended up in rotation, because if they didn't get a go-ahead they'd have been fricked from day 1 and taken care of it already.
Somehow I knew it was a Katz ep
>Courage pilot
peak sovl
It's the pilot the one with the chicken
I had now idea this was the first episode.
First episode was the big foot episode.
>Old naked lady ass this episode
This episode did things to me as a kid
I think she shows some cleavage as well. Either this one or the next. Maybe both.
They did. The water splash covered it.
Katzchads we're back
STUPID DOG! YER MAKIN ME GAY!
Nice, a Katz episode
This motherfricker raises my bloodpressure, too. He can blow me; red motherfricker.
I'd let him blow me
I knew what I was opening myself up to, but I couldn't articulate my hate without saying "he can blow me", so whatever.
I'd blow him
vegana SPIDER MOUTH
Why do cats hate dogs so much in cartoons?
Cats are buttholes
>Why do cats hate dogs so much
Everyone hates bullies
That Katz leitmotif is groovy
>Show stars a dog.
>Enemy is a cat.
Who could've seen it coming?
Katz's design was made to directly counter Courage's, and I think that's pretty neat.
>Eustaces legs
HNGGG
Katz is such a memorable character
Did they air "The Transplant" on the other days? It's one of my favorites.
>666 and 1/2
I should draw Muriel...
Muriel cleavage
big mature breasts
How did they get away?
Katz theme is so fricking good. I wish they'd release a courage soundtrack, man
>666 1/2 on the door.
How did the sow get away with this?
The Digimon dub got away with referring to 666 as the number of the beast.
Did it?
Yeah, shit went down when the clock hit 6:06:06.
The only other time I think I've seen 666 in a kids show was when it was mentioned in the OG Digimon
>Courage on leash
>Muriel boobies
>Katz overall
Ah great it's the fetish episode
PizzaPartyPodcast Nolan popping a boner over this one
fricking kek
I miss that guy. I wish he didn't leave. Apparently he was a load-bearing object and now the podcast is entirely gone.
How much of courage's plot could be solved if Courage brought a gun?
I wonder if Nowhere has castle doctrine
>Muriel cleavage
Yet Usagi got painted over. I guess they figured no one would object to saggy old lady breasts.
is murder always the easiest solution
You can actually see a lot of Muriel's boobs at times.
HNNGGGGGGG
I fricking hate these people so much.
>Playing hand ball all of a sudden
Why?
You know how villains will say something like "lets play a game" when they're about to torture the protagonist? This is a parody of that.
He says "lets play a game", and then you play wall ball.
I want that cat to do bad things to me
The music sounded awesome when it slowed down. Lots of bass.
why did cat always try to make killing courage a game?
Cats like to play with their prey.
Trying to vilify gamers.
when will people realize were the most persecuted group
handball is actually a fun sport
INDUSTRIAL DANCE BREAK TIME
I love how slow some scenes are, like how it holds on Katz being hit for awhile before he falls. I miss shit not feeling ADHD every second.
It ties into the horror and suspense theme, I think. Especially for a Psycho parody.
Muriel refers to Eustace as grandpa?
It's like a farmer thing i think, to refer to your spouse as father or mother
Is it? I thought it was like when people distance themselves from others out of anger or annoyance. Like when a kid breaks a vase, and the mother says to the father "You really should talk to that son of yours" instead of "You should talk to our son".
Nah, my dad call's his wife and mom stuff like Old Lady as a term of endearment
Anons you cannot frick the cat
Who's gonna stop me?
I wish Lazy Susan got more porn. Especially after the memory erasure fetish episode.
That's okay we have the fox now
What the frick is this "courage running in no man's land" bumper?
>just frickling screams in the trucks=
Waiting for the Shirley episode to show so this becomes 500 posts of Ms Cinemaphile arguing
Say, what day and time is Ms. Cinemaphile again?
Friday
Probably sometime during Checkered Past
The dated digital assets takes a lot out of art direction for the show. Its not aged well in the department.
I disagree. The grungy ass old photoshop textures make the show for me, it reminds me of old creepy games like manhunt
I'm pretty sure the 3D stuff looked jank even at the time.
I like it, gives it a unique look
Katz had such a fire theme
Man, do cartoons even have OSTs anymore? Seems like they have some barely audible background music that was done by an intern
Cartoons barely even have good intros anymore. Sometimes they don't even have them.
I like the fox’s theme better.
I think Cajun's better than Katz, but that's an opinion that's literally been defeated.
They have a similar character design
>WOO-DAYUH!
I wish the fox became a recurring villain like Katz was, he's fun
ikr but courage wasn't that long to begin with
Is that a Zuke keychain?
All of these bumpers are weird, but I like the Double D beatboxing one.
>it's "checkered past" because CN's old logo is a checkerboard pattern
oh duh
I like that the fox has the same "how to for dummies" sort of style as Katz. I want more cartoons with designs like that.
Why would they? These days a character would just look that shit up on their phone. Hell Courage already does that in a way cause of his reliance on the computer in the attic
Whut, anon I'm talking about the art design of characters looking like that style.
Man this is pretty cool seeing back in prime time again, I love this fricking episode.
Also really cool hearing the old adult swim robot voice again.
Is it the same voice? I remember it sounding like the Robot Jones one.
Enter the most underrated Courage character ever.
>Cajun Fox
oh HELL yes, I love this dude's voice AND his BGM, I just sorta wish he didn't look like a palette swap of Katz
To be fair they go pretty simplistic, so not much difference they could do. Also they wanted him to be taller than courage
I wish we got another episode with him. He only gets a small appearance in a later episode, and I don't think he even had a line.
It's probably because he's too similar to Katz.
He's a mixture of Quack and Katz so feels redundant
It creeped me out as a kid that his eyes were so damn big, now I just find it funny.
>Cajuns cooking humans stereotype
Ban this racist shit now
Cajuns are wh*te so it's okay.
Notice how half of the villains in Courage are just other animals instead of monsters and freaks?
oh shit it's marvin the martian
did he just walk into a fricking deli in a park to get a salami just to whip his ass?
What kind of shitty cab makes the passenger change the tire?
Muriel and Eustace sleeping soundly through 11 minutes of weird shit is an odd recurring plot device.
They're old
they are old people, grandparents can sleep through a house of loud ass kids, crying babies and teens playing video games and cursing
Its an old people joke. That's about it.
Courage and Cajun fox have sexual tension
Sounds like something a w*man would say.
>AYO DOG WATCHU WANT
We have finally returned home
Once again, eating can be fun.
Fricking furries already bought them all. Seriously, look at the replies on Hefty's initial tweet, it's 90% furgays, and they've been sold out ever since.
They are thinking new furry costume head
Why do logo fans from 2016 have this strange obsession
why were they discontinued ?
Gen A are gays
>Gen A
i kind of want to know what happened even more
Muriel floating meme
This episode always reminded me of a Tex Avery cartoon.
A pain in his what? A PAIN IN HIS WHAT??!!!
This specific episode is cartoony as frick, and I fricking love it. Like the "calling the cops, and the fox shows up" part. I wish more were like it.
ACAB
Up yours, Black person
I like them both being on the same page here about trying to keep her from falling off.
please tell me there's a ytp edit where they crash into the twin towers
Am I old if I still remember when this episode premiered on tv?
Yes, grandpa.
>oh yeah, yeah!
courage talking so much is bizarre
I kinda like him being more talkative when he's talking to other animal characters. Feels appropriate.
Execs thought so too, which is why Courage was reduced to stock yelps and gibberish after season 1.
Its the first season. He only stops talking in the last season for some reason
Is this a Sonic 2 reference?
Two sonic 2 posts in one thread? That's strange.
Lel I used to say that oil and vinegar line whenever my dad put that on his salad
Was he autistic why couldn’t he just tell them?
I can relate. If someone ever breaks into my house and tries to murder me I probably couldnt even tell the cops because im too scared of saying the wrong thing
Windows 97 wallpaper chads we're back
what winamp skins?
>remember winamp
>remember winamp skins
>remember my old inuyasha skin
>remember the first inuyasha op
we are going too far back
I still have CD-Rs with all the old Adult Swim openings & endings.
I regret not getting onto the internet fan scene sooner granted I would've been like 6
God I want to suck on their toes so badly
idk why but both the hero and villian trying to save the heroine is hilarious. Also wish the fox showed up more he had a funny dynamic with courage. He's basically the reverse Cat's more comical and less intimidating but still a threat
So long checkered past.
I was supposed to be working, but instead I spent 2 hours watching cartoons. Holy shit, its like the early 2000s again. Thank you checkered past!
We made it boys! also god I loved the end theme as a kid I used to piss my parents off autistically trying to imitate it on a Friday night
Whiteface
Katz and the Fox should've teamed up and tried to frick each other over. Would've fixed the "too similar to Katz" problem for never being used again if they're actually used together.
>Katz and the Fox should've teamed up and tried to frick each other
You can't fool me, fujoshit.
Yeah, that would've worked too.
that'd actually be fun, a suave cunning sociopath and a cajun impulsive silly villian. Having them work together to stop courage then end up fighting to the finish and accidently letting courage the time to escape and beat them
Katz and the Fox should've teamed up and tried to frick each other
you think they'll air the lesbian furry episode of Courage?
They are tomorrow.
Isn't that on tomorrow's schedule?
Not before the The Tower of Dr. Zalost
Turns off tv
So long /cp/, cya tomorrow
This block is really cool man, it’s nice seeing Cartoon Network finally doing something right.
Muriel liverspots uuuuoohhhhh
i thought until now that liverspots were actually on the liver
outside of her breasts what does she have going on? her small eyes are signs of FAS. you know for damn sure there was no way in hell that her mom did not stay sober for 9 months
Her ass looks pretty good from certain angles and she is really sweet despite being an airhead.
I guess they're technically sunspots but whatever
>700+ posts
Loregays in shambles
That's a good thing
>Or we could just get Max. That way we know whatever we watch is gonna be great!
>reality shit in promo
No sense of irony with these people
welp time for 5 hours of king of the hill and jerking off myself to sleep waiting for toonami to start
There aren't that many Luanne episodes tonight to help you out.
I wish they'd show Naked Ambition every night. I never get tired of watching Luanne's boobs bounce.
>waiting for Toonami to start
It's Wednesday anon
Didn't they used to air certain toonami shows (mostly Dragon Ball) on weekdays? Sort of like a buffer for CN and AS like they do with KoTH
I remember Toonami being an afternoon thing.
No, not that, I mean Post revival Toonami. Toonami went from weekday afternoons, to Saturady nights then canceled then brought back on even later saturday nights
It was and they also had the Midnight Run, frick I feel old.
Yup, because Adult Swim was only on weekends.
Even though I was there I still think it's crazy that there was a time where Adult Swim didn't even air one day of the week
I miss it. I always looked forward to summer vacation so I could stay up and watch it.
>You'll never go to sleep watching cartoons on the couch just to have your parent place you in your bed wake up and make you wonder how you got there ever again.
They only did this with Dragon Ball, I think.
That was 20 years ago...
thats only 3 more sleeps
These are the most enjoyable Cinemaphile threads since LOT3C threads half a decade ago
Thank you checkerboard chads, I love having positivity and actual discussion for once
>LOT3C
What shoe is that?
That Three Caballeros show
Why is KOTH sped-up????????
It is? Didn’t notice
Some scenes are. To fit in more ads.
That’s fricked up imo
Why isn't KOTH part of Checkered Past?
Ohhhhh, its this episode? I remembered this one being a later episode... guess its not
I wish I had a nerd clique to belong to that wasnt this fricking board
If it makes you feel better I have no nerd clique to belong to, I just browse boards and occasionally talk.
You have a good night anon
You too, anon
Same what
said, at least you have us
Get some sleep my dude
Most nerd cliques nowadays are full of coomers, incels, troons, or fakers, or all four combined.
Well, I'm at least two of those things
Coomer and incel?
Good guess. Except I dont really hate women, but I'm an autistic virgin so I'd be considered one by default
Now I know you probably see yourself as a "normal" sibling but I gotta ask, is she hot?
>She even has a tail.
Is she cute?
No, anon.

holy shit 700 replies
And only 65 posters.
>Are you gonna help us get our kickball off the roof?
>and maybe for a few weeks after
i didnt get it back then but damn
So I guess nerds back then were expected to be so pathetic that they don't even masterbate?
This feels like what boomers thought DnD was in the 80s.

Still a dropoff of 40 anons from the first day which is very concerning
Were those 40 anons actually watching the block in any way that mattered or shitposting and/or whining about being too moronic to know how to use a VLC stream?
They probably casual watched like normalgays
Just like the good ol' days.
Has anyone here actually tried Pooph? The commercial makes it sound like a scam.
No, but after sitting through 3 hours of cartoons, I sure do gotta take a big POOPH
CMON LET'S REACH THAT 800 NUMBER
Damn Ward’s mom is hot
sometimes i forget how old these episodes are and how old harry potter is

KotH kinda sucked in this regard.
>this is what normies think DnD players are like
