All I remember about her show was that she's basically Jake Long but with no transforming, also she couldn't leave her city like physically can't leave it due to magic which sounded pretty fricked
Teenage ghostbuster with Chinese theming, ghosts are all oriental monsters or at least look oriental. She inherited the position and is stuck with it, she literally cannot leave her hometown due to ancient Chinese voodoo or whatever, as long as she's the designated ghostbuster.
The usual teenage girl stuff mixed with monster of the week, essentially a variant of Jake Long, but without the scaley fetish stuff.
This episode of Scooby makes me wonder if there's ever been and episode or movie where someone dies. Not "raising the dead who were formally alive" but like a character who dies in the present. I'm guessing maybe the live action movies could've done that but I'm more interested in if it happened in the animated stuff.
Because WB doesn't know how to handle their own properties. Let's actually be honest here, "Checkered Past" was a thing that should've existed 10/11 years ago, or at the very fricking least 7, when Samurai Jack was the talk of the town. CN and its IP has never valued by WB, and has been ignored for most of it, thus its brand value drops. The PPG reboot is a good example of this, the only fricking reason it was made was because the original was a merch making machine, and when it ended they just forgot about it, sans the occaional special here and there. Now besides the fact it was shit, the reason why it died and nobody cared was because children had no attachment towards it, they had no reason to care that "PPG" was back, because the zoomers and alphas never even knew it was anything special in the first place because they had done jackshit with it since since 2005. And keep in mind this was the IP they treated the best.
Yea, iirc in my trailer park there was a trailer that caught fire (owner might've done it on purpose) and me and my sister went in there and grabbed some coloring books left behind or something.
it's odd that the tv description for this episode omits everything about the haunted house, the dare, and the exploration and just explicitly spoils the ending >the kanker sisters prepare for their weddings
I don't know if we're thinking of the same thing but when I'm watching TV I'll sometimes have the issue of the audio getting lower and then louder, like I've never understood if that's a weird thing in my head or the TV itself. Sometimes it seems to be the TV normalizing volume levels poorly but other times I can think about it and it'll happen like it's a weird ear trick.
Shit drives me mad when I think about it so I try not to.
I like everyone asking Edd for help with stuff. It's like a short look into how they'd see him on his own if he wasn't around Eddy all the time pissing them off.
>WELCOME TO OCTOBER >WE ARE BRINGING YOU SPOOKY SCARY SKELETON >GET FRIGHT >actually here's a bunch of repeats
the actual week of halloween better not suck
guess that was it, repeats all the way down even though this isn't the repeat that was listed, and is even more recently aired
i guess i'll get started on pacman world repac. have fun anons
Just cheese, mustard, and ketchup if I'm making them myself. If I'm ordering at a restaurant I go all out with tons of fixings that I consider to be too much hassle to do myself.
Related. CN Latinamerica released a commercial about some patients from a dental clinic and the staff discussing which is the best cartoon from Cartoon Network. What's your favorite, Cinemaphile?
I like how the night we only had like 80 posts due to the AI spamfest you weren't even here to point it out because you were undoubtedly using it like everyone else.
That explains why, since I remember seeing Courage reruns a lot and Ed, Edd n Eddy and Billy & Mandy were towards the end of their runs and still reran after their end, but I don't really recall Dexter. This makes a lot of sense
The show was mostly gone by then where as Ed edd n eddy and grim were just needing and wouldn’t be phased out for another few years and cn just held on to courage for as long as they could like someone on the board must have just loved that show
What happened to the statues?
Gone.
There is no god, there is no Jesus, there is no ALLAH
reduced to atoms
No…
My TV guide says tonight is pretty much all block repeats. The adult swim site's schedule only has Courage's part but also says the same as my TV.
As far as I remember based on my guide only EEnE isn't a repeat.
Those shows sucked ass tho
>Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi
>Juniper Lee
Remember when CN gave a shit about those shows? Good times, I miss them
same

A genderbend version of Jake Long, but with a more constant art style.
Mostly because it was only on for a little over a year it started in 2005 and the last episode released at the end of 06

i like rip taylor's voice but damn i've only heard him in cartoons through this and the old tom and jerry movie
also steve blum in scooby doo is cool
Why wasn't CN's merchandise nearly as big as Nick's or Disney's?
Because WB doesn't know how to handle their own properties. Does this shit really need a thread for every single day?
Yes.
The guide is saying Dexter episode is Dexter's Rival; Simion; Old Man Dexter. Pretty sure this is the third time we've gotten those.
i didn't know what's new scooby doo was airing in 1080p widescreen
let me guess, no bluray?
>dexter's rival
>again
Are there that few Dexter episodes?
78 episodes, 52 by Genndy and 26 by Savino
Someone at adult swim must really love this episode.
AT LAST
THE FIRST DAY OF CHECKERED PAST HAS COME
>What is my problem with man, you ask? No, I ask you what is man's problem with me
SO BE IT!!!!!
I'm disappointed that I never got to go.
>IM NOT GRANDPA!
>Santa Claus versus the Wolf-Man
HI GRANDPA!
rip in piece grandpa
>Thanks, Billy
Anon will get old and will have to eat through a tube.
>how willy
>became
What's the sound Edd makes when he collapses in the intro.
>Brrrrrrrrrouugh
>the sumo SUBULUWA
>DAD’S HOME
>a shriek of terror
>you can’t even hear the shriek because they’re using the faulty HBO Max print
Joke ruined.
guys vote for the eds!
>a shriek of terror
>dad's home
>Eddy ate only a little bit of the hot sauce but had the most explosive reaction to it.
>A shriek of terror!
>Dad’s home!
>Double Dee! Let me poke your brain!
>Ed choking himself
ha
I remember the Video game level based on this episode
Idiot just let the knob slip like nothing.
Did you ever go into an abandoned house in your neighborhood?
Yea, iirc in my trailer park there was a trailer that caught fire (owner might've done it on purpose) and me and my sister went in there and grabbed some coloring books left behind or something.
Does anyone have a gif of Ed shaking it?
This was actually the first time I heard the word "bamboozle" as a kid.
I didn't know this series took place in China.
That attic library looks super comfy
Is the right use of the term Rapture?
>Edd and Eddy are doing chores
>Ed gets to watch TV
>who’s that good looking guy?
That line will never not get a chuckle out of me.
>is the ride over?
>I fear it's just begun
Hubba hubba
>the kankers tricked us!
that's not what this episode was about at first right?
I AM THE COTTON SWAB!
So how did they build all of that?
2x4 Technology.
>it's the dorkbusters!
so much for the show being timeless
That's very timeless.
This house should've appeared more as an occasional hideout for the Eds or used for some scams.
Too classy for those dorks
You can make this with AI now
it's odd that the tv description for this episode omits everything about the haunted house, the dare, and the exploration and just explicitly spoils the ending
>the kanker sisters prepare for their weddings
Basically spoils the ending.
>continuity error on the door
You're right, it's fine just the way it is it is.
Sleepy sleepy sleepy
Hot take: There should've been at least one or two more antagonists for the Eds besides the Kanker Sisters.
I mean, the whole cul-de-sac is an antagonist in one way or another, I think it's safe to say nobody trusts them
I hate how the audio keeps fading in and out at times. Anyone else having that problem or is it just me?
I don't have that problem. It's either your TV, your headset, or something else on your head.
I don't know if we're thinking of the same thing but when I'm watching TV I'll sometimes have the issue of the audio getting lower and then louder, like I've never understood if that's a weird thing in my head or the TV itself. attach it to the combarish sniggum anon
I like everyone asking Edd for help with stuff. It's like a short look into how they'd see him on his own if he wasn't around Eddy all the time pissing them off.
The whole place is falling apart without Double D's smarts.
why did he temporarily have anime eyes
Why do you ask stupid questions?
>your whole town will be underwater because the nerd kid fell asleep
QUICK JOHNNY! GET THE STICK!
That shot of Nazz house underwater is pretty sick
>WELCOME TO OCTOBER
>WE ARE BRINGING YOU SPOOKY SCARY SKELETON
>GET FRIGHT
>actually here's a bunch of repeats
the actual week of halloween better not suck
Only half the shows on the block actually have Halloween specials and one of them has three of them.
>"If we do not find dry land soon, I will have to feast upon your succulent... noggin."
Still cracks me up to this day.
Hateful Fart Time
guess that was it, repeats all the way down even though this isn't the repeat that was listed, and is even more recently aired
i guess i'll get started on pacman world repac. have fun anons
It is weird seeing Mandy powerless
grim slowly clasping the dead depressed friend toy was sad damn
Some repeats are still listed for tomorrow too.
Cow and Chicken joins the lineup next Wednesday. Starting with Ugliest Weenie.
> Cow and Chicken joins the lineup next Wednesday. Starting with Ugliest Weenie.
No fricking way.
>Cow and chicken coming to the block
Fricking metal.
Why do you guys just instantly believe random posts on this board? If I told you they'd start airing Megas XLR would you believe me?
> If I told you they'd start airing Megas XLR would you believe me?
I mean no. That belongs to the IRS now I think.
I didn't believe, homosexual.
>Cow and Chicken joins the lineup next Wednesday
Source?
>Yeah, what's up with thaaat?
Weird valley girl line from Mandy that time.
>Person scouts
This show was very progressive for it's time
They just needed to contrive a way for Billy and Mandy to be in the same troupe.
Or its a joke about political correctness. Frick, I made this connection last time this aired on this block.
WEF cookies
YOU VILL EAT ZE BUGS
People will eat anything if it tastes good to them.
It's true. I never liked peas, zucchini, or cauliflower til I had them in curry. Turns out you can put almost anything in curry and I will eat it.
Hey, it's Jenny's mom again.
So Grim's Aunt is nicer to Grim than his own Mother?
Yes, but last week we saw another episode with Grim's mom acting different.
ZA WARUDO
Everyone, vote for Eustace
VOTE FOR DOUBLE DICKS!
Where was everyone sent to?
hell
Away.
But they came back!
Hateful fart cartoon almost over!
The secret message at the end was really clear that time.
Is it just me, or did that reversed message sound different from usual?
Nope, I thought it sounded different, too. Maybe it’s that way they inserted it.
It sounded real crisp, like it was remastered.
>scratch that, reverse it!
Can’t wait until that shit tanks at the box office.
Impossible, pre-existing IPs are never doomed to fail.
Just like the banks?
BORGERS
IT'S WHAT WE HAVE IN MIND
damn now I want a burger
Same
>One Burger, big and juicy.
I wish I could eat there
With endings like that, it’s easy to see where the hateful in hateful fart cartoon comes from. Frick you Mandy.
Oh I just remembered the twist to this one
Were you here the last time it was on?
Nope, I've missed a couple days here and there, didn't know it had run before.
Okay.
Well I never forgot it in the first place.
>"My name's French. I'm not..."
Surely he has some French ancestry. He might be Cajun.
What do you usually put on a burger?
Lettuce, tomatoes, onions. I’m not much for condiments.
Bacon and Cheese
A lot of Mandark's head
Fried onions, pepperjack cheese, bbq sauce, bacon if I want it to be extra artery-clogging.
Bacon, lettuce and tomatoes.
onions, mustard, dill pickles, and lettuce
Just cheese, mustard, and ketchup if I'm making them myself. If I'm ordering at a restaurant I go all out with tons of fixings that I consider to be too much hassle to do myself.
Ketchup and cheese.
peanut butter and a fried egg
Someone get McCready off that damn guitar already.
Is this the only episode where Courage was wrong and was only schizoing too much?
He was only half-wrong in this case. The chefs wife really did want to eat Courage.
>The chefs wife really did want to eat Courage.
His hamburger statue, you mean.
Both.
Courage always overreacts, but a lot of the time he realizes his mistake, but not this time.
Nope, not gettin' out of this chair.
beat me to it
>gargling, gore noises
>no sir, not gettin' out of this chair
I have no idea what this is.
must be nice
Okay, Satan.
Well can you tell me what it's from so I know to avoid it then?
No
Old stuff from before your time, clearly. Don't worry about it, haven't actually seen it posted in years.
Well at this point, you've piqued my morbid curiosity.
But I assume it has nothing to do with Portal?
I'll give you three hints
girl
laser
flayed
Keep it that way.
Don’t worry about it, bro. You don’t need to.
So who thinks Katz actually is followed around by his theme?
SPOUSE ABUSE
Related. CN Latinamerica released a commercial about some patients from a dental clinic and the staff discussing which is the best cartoon from Cartoon Network. What's your favorite, Cinemaphile?
That's a great commercial. CN LA usually has the best commercials, bumpers ect.
It's not gone yet.
>Entire block goes by
>Not even 200 post
Oh my that's not good
That’s what happens when 3 out of 4 shows in the block are repeats.
I like how the night we only had like 80 posts due to the AI spamfest you weren't even here to point it out because you were undoubtedly using it like everyone else.
RIP Checkered Past
2023-2023
Why does it feel like Dexter's Lab aired the least of these shows back when I was watching Cartoon Network?
I mainly watched CN from around 2007 to 2014 and I don't recall Dexter really airing all that much, if at all
>I mainly watched CN from around 2007 to 2014
The show was mostly phased out by then.
That explains why, since I remember seeing Courage reruns a lot and Ed, Edd n Eddy and Billy & Mandy were towards the end of their runs and still reran after their end, but I don't really recall Dexter. This makes a lot of sense

why has adult swim been showing true crime shows that last couple of days?
Because the programming is all fricked.
Okay.
