I haven't watched Cow & Chicken in a very long time and I remember sometimes rotating between watching it or changing the channel when it came on because I could never decide if I liked the show or not, so they better be airing a good episode or my mind will remain unchanged.
It was part of the "le wacky animal duo" cartoons" that the 90s was bombarbed with. Two animals, one being a short, egotistical butthole while the other is a fat/tall moron who is has a kind heart.

Why did 7-minute cartoons die out? Dexter, Cow and Chicken and Johnny Bravo had that 3 segments format, but then later shows like PPG, Eds and Courage had 11 minute episodes.

Here's why Cow and Chicken didn't last long according to Maxwell Atoms. Nothing special, though Feiss was screwed over by CN.
As for Weasel, it has 78 7-minute episodes in total, which is roughly 26 half-hours. Season "5" has 9 half-hours so it could reach 26 in total, making it easier to air the show seperate from C&C.
Going from C & C to open season. Man, at least we got that among us gif from it.
To be fair, I can't see kids being interested in this for any longer than 52 half-hour sessions
You know, this is one thing I missed about Cartoon Network, during the holidays. It was the only time when CN would actually rerun their old content.
Sucks just like I remember. Standards really were low back then. The early 2000s were when we actually got the good stuff before the massive decline that's killing everything today, but nobody seems to be ready for this conversation yet.

That's one of the big flaws of Weasel imo. They over rely on Tom Kenny and Dee Baker. Almost every background character is voiced by them.
The voice cast is really, really small. Candi Milo pretty much voices every female.

They do something right though. Baboon likes making butt jokes, but he's not obessed with it, to the point that there are several episodes without him doing it.
