>can i eat your flesh? >not today, i need my flesh to hold my doodie in! >[sucking noises]
This is the worst show to have on with your eyes closed. Then again, it's not much better with them open either.
I guess this is a sequel episode, so why does Pino's dad hate him? It feels weird to watch an episode of Grim and feel like I missed a fricking anime episode. They don't flashback or anything.
That episode went in a fun direction but they should've revolved the whole episode around it, not just tacked on at the end of a random hack episode about juggling chickens that took forever and meandered.
That's just style evolution. During the Grim & Evil era, the characters looked more like Hanna-Barbera-esque and similiar to Dexter's Lab or Powerpuff Girls.
William "Billy" is one of the two title characters from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. He is voiced by Richard Steven Horvitz. He and Mandy are the owners and best friends of the Grim Reaper.
During the first four seasons, he was a simple-minded, yet charming character. But during the last two seasons, he was flanderized and a more malicious side of his personality is shown.
Amanda "Mandy" is one of the two title characters from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and is voiced by Grey DeLisle. She and her friend Billy are the owners and best friends of the Grim Reaper.
During the first four seasons, she was a cynical, yet charming character. But during the last two seasons, a more malicious side of her personality is shown.

When they air stuff like Fred Fredburger screaming about making stinky smelly poopies it really highlights how them airing these older cartoons on adult swim now is just absurd.
What was the most consistently good Cartoon Cartoon that had more than 52 episodes? Basically more episodes than Courage? I'm honestly thinking Kids Next Door. I don't recall any seasonal rot in that series and it ran for 78 episodes, a TV movie, a crossover, and a finale special
The new generation of cartoonist (who went on to do stuff like Adventure Time Regular Show and Steven Universe) came in and didn't grow up with those HB so there's literally no reason to make those references anymore
Useless Trivia: Don Watson, one of the background artists of Billy and Mandy, got his career start working on The Flintstones (both the fifth season and the movie).
Though I feel like the Gamecube or PS2 should be in there in some way too. Those systems were around when all four of these were airing new episodes. Billy and Mandy came out during the Gamecube/PS2 era. I would say Xbox, but that system was mainly known for adult oriented games, even though the system was popular with kids
>As of 12/25, Courage appears to have been removed from the lineup and replaced with Cow and Chicken. It's unknown if this is permanent or just for Christmas. The episodes will be followed by King of The Hill and 2 gastrointestinal episodes of Bob's Burgers.
It's when Mike started phoning the show in to work on Idiocracy. It started falling back into the rut that season 4 had of "Peggy just became crazy, Bobby just became gay, Hank started getting weaker and weaker until he was literally being ordered around by Dale" as Mike himself put it.
I had no idea anyone on the show ever acknowledged how awful Peggy could be, ever. I assumed that was always the point and we were supposed to love how quirky and pretentious she was no matter how awful. It's extremely satisfying to know one of the showrunners (John Altschuler) was not only aware people didn't like her but felt similarly for some seasons. >"If you don't police characters on a daily basis, you go for jokes. 'Oh, it's funny that Peggy is mean to her family at this point.' 'Oh, okay, we're tired, let's do it again.' If you do it again and again, what happened was people started hating Peggy's character and felt distant from her. The show just kind of lost its way. What we've done since seasons six and seven was just work on getting the characters back to where they started and keeping them there."
Back when people could have self-awareness when female characters could be unlikeable. Now it's a concept that literally does not exist. This reminds me of an anecdote about Disney's Hercules, where Meg was sort of formed out of her voice actress improving and morphing the character into her own style. Everyone loved it and felt like it made the character more fun, but they also would revise some things if her VA's improv/bits might've made her character come off unlikeable, wanting to balance things. Now it'd be "this character is unapologetically the VA but animated, and it's amazing. we're not going to silence her voice" shit.
Oh, anon. They do have self-awareness. They just think completely in the opposite direction now. They don't need to ad-lib, because the writers are already writing socal style from the very start.
Are we actually at day 80?
Try counting it
Frick, you beat me to it
I wonder if anyone noticed the Holly Jolly Secrets episode of AT aired earlier with extra muted colors even during the credits.
what was this girl's name again? audrey? she was cute. sucked they just forced them to break up off screen for a quick joke
>movie trailer where a gay twink quotes fallout boy and winks while a girlboss rolls her eyes
movies are literally worse now than they've ever been
What movie?
>bringing back benson's skills as a pinball player and pops wrestling
impeccable christmas special
Wait they're doing RS as well? I thought the block was only for old shows, is it just anything they had that was worth watching?
It's not part of the block, it just airs right before it starts.
Why do I keep seeing this?
because adult swim is offline until 5PM
I never really liked the beach.
>2006 episodes
This is when Grim Adventures became shit.
>it sure beats the ghetto
Is that crab also Jamaican?
I appreciate the Mandy gags at the start of every episode. Some of them might suck, but it's a nice effort.
Pinociociocio
Nice cameo
This reminds me of how lenstar would him of his old characters
Pinnochio’s a footgay
>can i eat your flesh?
>not today, i need my flesh to hold my doodie in!
>[sucking noises]
This is the worst show to have on with your eyes closed. Then again, it's not much better with them open either.

>gross out shit
Frick off avatarhomosexual
Would you?

>grim does something supernatural and neat
this episode is automatically at least better than many others
>gross out puking
No wonder people disliked season 5 and 6
I guess this is a sequel episode, so why does Pino's dad hate him? It feels weird to watch an episode of Grim and feel like I missed a fricking anime episode. They don't flashback or anything.
I don't think his dad was in the previous episode with Pinocchio. Maybe he was mentioned though.
Wasn't Pinocchio a part of a storybook that Grim was reading? Why is he real now?
He's not real, he's still made of wood.
>Jenniferlopezio
Rent free in my head for years.
>Brett Varon
One of the best Billy and Mandy writers.

Nice twist

S K E L E T O N D A N C E
>ugh, there goes my whole design ethic
That episode went in a fun direction but they should've revolved the whole episode around it, not just tacked on at the end of a random hack episode about juggling chickens that took forever and meandered.
Why do shows in the later seasons tend to have a more realistic looking still to the minor characters?
That's just style evolution. During the Grim & Evil era, the characters looked more like Hanna-Barbera-esque and similiar to Dexter's Lab or Powerpuff Girls.
Still reminds me of that south park where characters used to look simple but the later seasons have jarringly detailed characters
Same energy
That trucker in the bottom left kinda reminds me of this style
See you guys in an hour.
They should have aired Big Picture Show tonight
The blue guy looks like hitler
HEADS UP BOYS
STFU fred

Where did everyone go?
Fred Fredburger is billy and mandy is what Jeffy is into sml
Courage is the only cartoon that didn't went into seasonal rot among these four shows
Fred fredburger = Jeffy
>caring about that shit in 2023
now that's true autism
Does anyone have the image of maxwell atoms addressing to the decline of billy and mandy?
He was too busy with Big Boogey Adventure and Underfist, thats why the show became worse.
Just show me the image pls
cute!
Surely there were worse episodes than Heartburn.
You just watched it 18 minutes ago.
Psst!
Why did they add fred fredburger?
Hateful fart cartoon
>character is literally uh oh stinky
Who?
Actually this was a good episode despite my least favorite billy and mandy character's first appearance.
Still shit bait.
define "bait"
Meant to incite a reaction. Are you a newbie?
Mandy still won anyway, both in terms of the original voting and the ending fricking over Billy either way.
Sad
>peter lorre voice

>absurd
Why
Oh, it's that episode that really dragged on like hell with barley any effort put into it.
>grim gets cancelled
Wish someone would make a rant essay on these seasons
>HONEY, BILLY'S IN LOVE WITH A GIRL
>IF SHE'S HUMAN YOU OWE ME FIVE BUCKS
>grim gets stripped, bent over, and rammed in through bone strip ripped strip
Did you ever have a girlfriend Cinemaphile?
>snaks
>skool
Same energy
This is one of the worst written episodes of anything I've ever seen.
Grim torture porn
Mandy's hot as an adult
So is that her canon future look?
Cool bumper with Ed standing next to a cow. Some of them just have a weird eerie and not really for kids feeling
Vibe
Would you?
you're not allowed in here
Who?
Alan Oppenheimer is still alive at 93. He did the voice of Mighty Moe.
Cashing in them bonus years, I bet.
Anyone have it?
Who?
Voice actor. He was also the voice of Skeletor on the original He-Man cartoon, probably his best known role
Oh, his character will live to the legacy of fang
If you're sick of hateful fart reruns, there's a Christmas special livestream on CN's youtube channel
We know get me the link!
>Chad LOVES to travel abroad
>Is it me or is Grim getting lamer?
Why?
What was the most consistently good Cartoon Cartoon that had more than 52 episodes? Basically more episodes than Courage? I'm honestly thinking Kids Next Door. I don't recall any seasonal rot in that series and it ran for 78 episodes, a TV movie, a crossover, and a finale special
where courage
no Courage today. Only hateful fart marathon
No courage today
Jake Steel time bros
oh wow, this one
why are they showing the good and godawful episodes together
They're from the same season.
Did kids even get the Flintstones reference when this episode came out in 2006? The Flintstones was removed from Cartoon Network in 2003
>Boomerang
>vitamins
>fruity pebbles
>various alien invasion trauma
yes, dunce
Most of them just think about vinesauce jokes
>Video cannot be played
Im out!
Yeah, because of cereal.
Why did CN shows stop inserting random apperances of Hanna-Barbera characters?
2004
Came with the change in management. I know this fricked over the Venture Bros and other AS toons a bit.
The new generation of cartoonist (who went on to do stuff like Adventure Time Regular Show and Steven Universe) came in and didn't grow up with those HB so there's literally no reason to make those references anymore
Pibby referenced hanna barbera
It was a crossover
Johnny Bravo hitting on the Scoob girls was cute. I wish he would've scored with Daphne.
What!
Like, dick in vegana.
>I can't be seen without my glasses!
was absolute top tier comedy
Always funny when cartoons show who their moron dad archetype came from.
Useless Trivia: Don Watson, one of the background artists of Billy and Mandy, got his career start working on The Flintstones (both the fifth season and the movie).
>fred is flanderized to be a moron
He's just confused don't judge him
He doesn't say words and just say yabba and Dabba...
He said Fred.
that's just caveman language
That's just caveman language
Still...
He said Fred.
>dresses him like a woman
>now you'll fit in perfectly in the modern world!
lmao
IM SCARED, YO
Why is the later seasons filled with gross and shock humor?
Why do you keep asking moronic questions?
Pud'n forgot to add "The Heartless" to his name. The joke doesn't work without it.
The teacher is just way too hot!
butterbean is an actual c**t
I bet you this was the episode that made Michael Ouwleen consider Billy & Mandy nothing but a Hateful Fart Cartoon.
Actually it was the elves versus dwarves episode.
>What a waste of a episode.
FUUUUUUUUUUTUUUUUUURE
I like seeing the Nintendo 64 in the bumpers
Though I feel like the Gamecube or PS2 should be in there in some way too. Those systems were around when all four of these were airing new episodes. Gba also fits
vegana counts too

Just for Christmas
Really?
Cow and chickenesse
It’s only for Christmas. Never get my hopes up like that again.
CRAGERA
This show was somewhat considered a horror and yet, these episodes aren't really what one would call horror and grim
Proof that Grape Ape is a kaiju.
Godzilla
Grape Ape BTFO
I like applesauce.
>You fractured my platypus!
That ending bit was kinda funny, I'll admit.
The end, why do people hate season 5-6 of billy and mandy?
it was not Courage
That's not the reason why
Huh. So the gibberish is just a language barrier.
I know right
>koth reruns have rolled back to Lucky seasons
I'm out.
What is the problem behind the lucky seasons?
It's when Mike started phoning the show in to work on Idiocracy. It started falling back into the rut that season 4 had of "Peggy just became crazy, Bobby just became gay, Hank started getting weaker and weaker until he was literally being ordered around by Dale" as Mike himself put it.

To be honest I'm kinda glad eris started to appear less in the later seasons of the show. She didn't appear in season 6 at all!
If you didn't post this image so often, nobody would notice you.
vegana bones wins
I agree
They made her look stupid in season 4+
I know
ladybird quit lickin mah money
Watch ppg in the late hour!
that one episode where billy becomes a chicken, mandy has a shit taste in cartoons
How do I pirate this shit?
Kimcartoon
Any thoughts on that ppg episode?
the sad part about the Savino-era Dexter is that wishing for Oceanbird was made earlier in the Genndy era.
