Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers

I think I got my jinxies mixed. I thought Cinemaphile hated this and Twitter loved but I saw a post on Twitter of people shitting on this vehemently.
Did I hallucinate that Cinemaphile hated this?

I thought that everyone agreed it was mediocre. At the very least, it's not particularly clever, interesting, or soulful. Either way, it's pretty fricking weird that some characters made to annoy Donald Duck in the 1940's would eventually become a vehicle for some unfunny vanity dicksuck project which barely resembles Disney.

The only funny thing about this is that John Mulaney thought it was worth giving up his coke addiction for.

We wanted to hate it, as Seth Rogan getting control of the 90's Disney weekday shows took the powers away from the new Ducktales show, and ruined their plans for a Darkwing Duck revival.

But the movie is fine, with a few solid laughs, and a lot of Easter eggs for people as nerdy as us.

You don't speak for me, homosexual. It was forgettable garbage for shallow morons who only cared about which scenes could produce the greatest metrics for their Twitter account.

I went through the archive recently for something unrelated and it happened to be the same weekend this movie came out. I got to re-browse through thread after thread of . One of the most hilarious Cinemaphile happenings ever.

It was fine, had some good moments but also some long stretches of nothing happening. At least mildly more memorable than other cash-in stuff from the past few years.

If the "2D" animation were good it'd be a solid 7/10. But since its Playstation garbage quality, it's a 5. Disney should have put more faith and money into it. A company with Disney's pedigree should not be producing animation that's looks like that.

It's weird since the Roger Rabbit stuff seemed actually hand drawn, like they could've done it all in true mixed 2D but just said frick it at some point.

Everybody hated it everywhere, aside from the critics and the "dudebros crying, amirite?" crowd. The only questionably good point people gave it was the beta Sonic deaign jokes.

Movie was ok, even had some ideas that felt like they came from Roger Rabbit (like the addiction, but really the whole thing wants to give out that vibe).
Unironically most of the hate comes from the sickos who for years have jerked off to a mice.

They hated it for 3 reasons.

1.Gadget married Zipper and not Chip nor Dale.
    2. Not giving TMS any money for the Lupin III characters so TMS can make more Lupin III content like they did for the DuckTales reboot (most of Lupin III Part V's budget was from Disney because of Lupin and Jigen appearing in DuckTales'17, Sony paid for the rest) and instead used Big Mouth characters because "LOL Hollywood is full with pedos who have ties with Jeffrey Epstein, ROFL".
    3. The drama about the film's Bobby Driscoll refence (Peter Pan aging into being a hashed up has been).

Other then that it's just Disney's Space Jam, it's so bad it's good.

Lupin and Jigen were in the DuckTales reboot but Disney never bother to ask TMS for them in the Rescue Rangers movie.

It never looped around to the "that it's good" part, bro. It was just garbage, and the Zipper thing didn't even bother me. It was the pseudo-Roger Rabbit thing that bothered me. I never liked that movie. Chip's mom, much like Llama Llama's mom in the Netflix series, was so outrageously hot that it made no sense that she was single.

The only people who tend to go out of their way to hate this movie publicly on X are hateful scum. Fortunately; thise vermin are in the minority.

It was a clever and spectacular finale to Chip & Dale; an the mix of various different styles of animation is still incredible.

This was not a finale to Chip and Dale. This was a non-canon event from autists who wanted to do their take on Who Framed Roger Rabbit (which IMO, didn't fricking work well, why do people keep 'gasming over this crap? There's a reason it was never attempted again until now, and it's not the budget required. Even soft attempts like Space Jam 1 and 2 are crap because of the horrible juxtapositioning or real and animated. Just do straight-up animation!), then decided to drag down a more-beloved, well-known franchise. Just another bunch of idiots who parasitize and destroy things that people love instead of doing their own shit.

    >the movie tries to pretend Chip is 2D despite being cell shaded 3D, destroying the premise out the gate
    >said premise also does not work in a meta sense when Chip and Dale have been together in every Mickey related project since the original show
    >absolutely NOTHING about the original show was portrayed correctly
    >every "fact" about the RR show spewed by the movie is flat out false
    >the animation in general is complete and utter shit, even the actual 2D animation is poorly implemented
    >RPO-tier cameos and references that only serve as jangling keys at the audience
    >the VAs are godawful
    >the score is awful
    >the plot is generic at best and offensive at worst
    >"HAHA we're SO meta and self-aware! Wait, we didn't know about the Bobby Dricoll thing, pls don't be mad at us for shitting on his corpse!"
This movie is unironically the worst thing Disney has ever put out, and that's saying a LOT. It almost makes Wreck-It Ralph 2 look tolerable in comparison; at least that movie is coherent in how terrible and scummy it is, while having SOME decent animation. This movie is an eyesore, an earsore, a ChatGPT written nightmare that only highlights how little Disney cares about its own properties.

It's a perfect embodiment of Modern Disney.

The positivity was mostly from people going "ZOMG REFERENCES!!!!!!!!" but it was very obvious that it was sub-Family Guy crap. sums things up very well, but it was surreal to see something so blatantly shitty get so much praise.
