Predator 2 is even better than Predator 1 IMO. They're super close though. They are about even in quality except 2 adds in a lot of interesting social commentary.
alien was more about design, thing was more about effects. theyre both amazing in their own right and i hope one day we can make kino monster movies again
Women are awesome and I love when cute ones are in movies.

No such movie as that exists. Only "The Thing From Another World", "Horror Express" and "The Thing". Those are the only movies dealing with this material that were ever made. IDK what you're posting there but it's an atrocity and an abomination, like Alien 3, and it does not belong in this dimension.

Let me guess you only count Alien and Aliens as well.

Yes. Yes. Yes absolutely. Honestly I don't even like Alien very much, bro. So I'm not the best person to ask about that one. I'm sour on that whole series except the 2nd one, which is my favorite movie of all time.

Yes, Like anyone normal.
And it's only the theatrical version of both.
The Thing and it's not even close. But Aliens is infinitely better than both of them. Even better than both of them put together.
This is the enlightened response because that entire fricking series, sans the 2nd movie which is unbelievably fricking awesome, is rotten (and for me, personally, I even include Alien in as being rotten, at least relatively).
Alien does nothing for me. But it had a great sequel. Kurt Russel makes anything he's in watchable. Interesting concept. Played the game, it doesn't take it far. An effecrive use of it would be both you, your group, and it want the same thing. To survive the cold and get away. Have to co-operate regardless if you know they are or not.
Once it knows you know it tries to make you seem as it, does so for others as well. In the end everyone else was and they form into mega monster. You celebrate that as it warns away rescuers as you get eaten.
Actually, I'll do everyone even 1 better and say that on top of Thing and Aliens both being way better than Alien, Horror Express, which was the somewhat low budget 2nd adaptation of "Who Goes There", upon with both "The Thing" movies were made, and which came out in between the 2 "Thing" movies, is at least on par with Alien, and may actually be better, even.
It's public domain so it's not hard to find on demand.
Love The Thing, but it doesn't have a lot of rewatchability for me. Which is weird because I've seen Alien, and Halloween just as many times if not more. But I can rewatch two movies endlessly.
The Thing is absolutely amazing at creating a mood. It creates an amazing tension throughout that somehow holds up even on multiple viewings.
Alien is good but it's kinda just almost all that fear of the unknown type thing until you actually see the alien then it loses a good bit of the suspense.
Alien, I like the overall cast better. I don't remember any faces or personalities from Thing except for Russell. Also, the Thing looks really flat and bland inside the base which is a good bit of the run time. They're both very good though.
This but with alien. I literally don’t remember anybody besides Ripley and the black guy. John Hurt too. Meanwhile the thing I remember >Mac >Childs >Blair >Palmer >Windows
"Corny" is not a word I've ever heard to describe either Alien or The Thing. They're both pretty dark and brutal movies. IMO the biggest saving grace of The Thing is that there's just enough humanity and positivity at the end of it (barely, very barely) to make it not an exercise in nihilism. Or for it to be just a cheap slasher pic with cheap slasher pic sensibilities. Alien has that in spades. Alien basically is some gimmicky drive-in slasher flick that a studio through a budget behind and someone was successful in making really nice looking sets for.

The Thing was boring. Also the guys were speaking German or something at the start and I didn't have subtitles so I didn't know what was going on. Bad movie.
Alien by a million miles.
Thing by a thousand miles.
They are kind of sexy
Predator 2 is even better than Predator 1 IMO. They're super close though. They are about even in quality except 2 adds in a lot of interesting social commentary.
The thing by a big margin.
As I still have a lot of fairly ok alien movies.
Now, if you had said "choose a franchise" then it's alien
Both.
for the sake of viewing a masterpiece of sci-fi horror, the thing.
for the sake of having a fun, suspenseful time, alien.
compared to Thing's effects, the actual monster in Alien 1 is kind of laughable
alien was more about design, thing was more about effects. theyre both amazing in their own right and i hope one day we can make kino monster movies again
The thing is kino and deserves most of the praise it gets. You can rewatch it a bunch of times and it's always great.
Alien is pretty good on first viewing but I've never really understood people's obsession with it. It has little to no replay value to me.
If you erased both of them and Predator there would be a lot less annoying homosexuals in the world. They are all good movies though.
the Giger one, because without it, we would never have gotten Henstridge's tatas to go mainstream back then.
1st half of Alien>The Thing>>2nd half of Alien
Very tough. I want to say Alien because it has the cooler visual aesthetic, but I'd have to rewatch them to really decide. Both very kino.
unlike The Thing, Alien still holds up
The Thing still holds up thoughever
I prefer psychological horror so I have to go with The Thing. Alien is still the better of the two in terms of plot and aesthetics.
the thing because no w*Men
>alien
female protagonist
>the thing
male protagonist
it's the thing
I like female protagonists because they're more attractive.
cause you associate with them
homosexual troony
kys coomer trash
>liking good visuals in a visual medium makes you a coomer
Remember that the womanhater fascists of Cinemaphile are almost invariably closeted homosexuals.
Women are awesome and I love when cute ones are in movies.

PUTA. CHEATING FRICKONG HOMEWRECKING prostitute
incorrect. I am only attracted to women and troonys, the passing troonys that is
The Thing. Both movies are still great and still hold up, but if you put a gun to my head, The Thing.
thang
Thing. It's the better movie and if I delete Alien, A3, A:R, AvP:R, Prometheus and Covenant are deleted as well.

On its own? THE THING
I like the alien/predator franchise though, it even had some cool games.
Das Ding, Alien is too outdated and boring if replayed
Aliens however...
The Thing
The Thing
I'm a winterbro so obviously The Think
Alien is objectively better because it spawned an entire franchise. The Thing is good but it's a remake of an adaptation.
I have never liked alien at all. a big part of it is that I find sigourney weaver repulsive.

How could you forget Wilford Brimley aka Diabeetus
"I'LL KEEEL UUU"
I didn't know that was him until I looked it up afterward, though I did neglect to mention Keith David.
This but with alien. I literally don’t remember anybody besides Ripley and the black guy. John Hurt too. Meanwhile the thing I remember

no
DA TING BE FAR MORE KINO MON, BOMBACLAAATT
Corny bullshit or the best sci-fi movie? Frick it’s hard to say
The Thing isn't that corny.

>through
threw*, I mean. I mean, whatever.
>*is the greatest sci-fi horror film of all time in your path*
The Thing for me. Conceptually scarier, better effects, Kurt Russel, it's a classic.
The Thing is a far better movie and is infinitely rewatchable. Alien is not.
>Chose one
No.
The Thing was boring. Also the guys were speaking German or something at the start and I didn't have subtitles so I didn't know what was going on. Bad movie.
>homies who want to seem smart
Alien
>homies who aren't afraid to look dumb
The Thing
>homies who want to frick
Alien
>homies who don't know what sex is
The Thing
Alien rapes your body.
Thing rapes you on a cellular level.
The only good bit in alien is when they search the crashed ship, the rest of the film is fricking garbage .
